Tony's P.O.V.

"Jaime!" I called out to my Best friend in the hallway.

"Hey Tone! Where's your girlfriend at? You're always attached to her it's kind of weird not seeing you with her. Kinda like a little girl without her doll." Jaime laughed & I did too.

"Shut up. I don't know man, I haven't seen her today." I said. Lie. Lie.Lie. I saw her, I just didn't want to see her. All the clinging onto her this past month still hasn't made me feel 'that way'. I don't know what it is but I never really was attracted to her. Jaime forced me to date her, he was starting to think I was gay or something. I agreed so he would hop off my back.

"Oh, well let's get to first period. Fucking hate math." Jaime mumbled as we both approached the door.



Class was over but it seemed like we were in there for hours. We turn around the corner, ready for history, that is until I saw my girlfriend Ally. Fuck. She's gonna kiss me. Not that it's bad...I just don't like it.

"Baby!! Tony! Where are you going?" She finally caught up to me.

"You've been avoiding me all day, babe!" Ally was yelling in my face & I really didn't like it. She grabbed my neck & kissed my lips. Ugh. I looked over & noticed Jaime had left. Great, I'm stuck with Ally now.

"Sorry baby, I haven't seen you." I pushed her away a bit but she quickly grabbed a hold of my hand. The bell rang. Thank god...

"I gotta get to class, babe. Bye." I ran to my second class, History. I was just glad to be doing something other than kissing Ally.

"Mr. Perry, you were almost late again!" The teacher called out to me as I took my seat.

I mumbled a sorry & took my seat at the back of the class. I stared at the clock the whole time, just dreading for the day to be over. Just five more classes, Tony. I started to daydream of the most bizarre thing. My mom's new boyfriend. Ugh. Why did he pop into my head? I haven't even met him yet. I don't want to either. No man is good enough for my mother.






School was finally over & I was relieved to go home. Mom said she had something to tell me anyway. I just hope it's nothing bad.


"See you tomorrow, Jaime!" I yelled out. He started to walk the way home & I, as usual waited for the bus. I was expecting to ride home with the football players like I always did, even though I never wanted to. They'd always talk to me but I just guess I liked being alone, a little more. I'm just used to it since I don't have any siblings & I only see Jaime four times in the day.





I was home & my mom called me over to the kitchen table. I guess what she had to tell me was pretty serious since she had a nervous expression on her face. I sat down hesitantly.

"So, Tony. You know how I'm engaged with Vincent ?" My mom asked.

"Ugh...yea. What about him..?" I asked.

"Well..he got a new job...a better one...& he- he want's me to move with him to San Diego! Isn't that great?! San Diego is beautiful, you'll love it there. You can meet him & have two bro-" I cut her off.

"What?! No! Mom, you can't do this to me! I have a life here! I'm not going to move & leave everything behind! I have best friend, & a girlfriend-" Then my mom cut me off.

"Tony, you & I both know you don't even like Ally! We're leaving in two days. Start packing. You don't have a choice in this!" My mom yelled.

"Mom, he's not going to make you happy! He's just going to leave you like dad fucking did!" I stopped in my tracks, & realized what I just said. "Mom, I'm-"

"Go to your room, Tony." She looked at the floor & said it in a serious tone. I can't argue right now. I went up to my room & slipped into a million thoughts a minute. I can't move.
