Fresh Start Fever

"Lisa... what?" I asked, staring up at her in confusion. She smirked down at me, clearly happy with herself.

"Oh Casey Kean. Everything you have was just handed to you. You never had to go to University or work hard for anything. You just waltzed down to London and had an amazing time down there. You bagged Josh Franceschi but fucked it up. You had Oli. You have all these amazing friends and worst of all; everyone loves you. No one wants to hurt your precious little feelings. You needed a lesson and no one else was about to teach you it" She sat down across from me.

"Are you serious?!" I practically shouted. I noticed some people look at us in confusion.

"What? Is this unfair? You stole my boyfriend!" She said angrily.

"I think you'll find I was with him first" I corrected her.

"No Casey. When you moved to London and broke his little heart who was there to pick up the pieces? Me. We had a small relationship a few months before you decided to come home and wreck it all. He broke up with me the night you came back to Sheffield" She smiled. "Wanna know a dirty little secret?" She leaned in and whispered.

"What?" I asked bitterly.

"When you guys broke up... why was that again?" She chuckled lightly. "Oh yeah, he cheated on you" She smiled. "He might've but it was in Australia" I shook my head.

"Yeah, keep telling youself that if it keeps your little marriage in tact" She sat back in her chair and folded her arms across her chest. A smirk played on her lips, making me want to punch her in the face again like I did at prom.

"You're lucky this is a public place or you'd be picking your teeth up off of the ground" I snarled at her.

"And if you do that, one little hit on the send button and your naughty pictures go online" She smirked. "I'll tell everyone about, well everything. How you're a dirty little cheat, how you drunkenly got married and most importantly... your biggest secret" She smiled, knowing she had me where she wanted me.

"You don't know anything" I mumbled.

"You're sick" She said with a straight face.

I frowned. How would she even know that? "How do you-".

"Know that?" She finished. "My mum is a nurse. I was in her office last week and I over heard her and doctor Gillard talking about a patient. I didn't really care until the name Casey Kean came up in conversation. You haven't told anyone. Why?" She asked seriously.

"I was scared... it's not even a big deal anymore. They said I was fine" I muttered.

"Please, doctors lie all the time. If you have to keep coming to their practice then it'll cost the government more money. The saddest thing is, they could save a lot of people every year but money is more important to some people" She shrugged. "Look I don't care what happens to you but lying to yourself is only going to cause yourself more problems and I don't wanna have to deal with it".

"What do you want Lisa?" I questioned. She smiled knowingly.

"You have to leave Oli. You have to break his heart and let me have him. You could have anyone you want but you can't let him go Casey. Let me have him. I need him and you need to disappear. If you want to everyone to know the truth about you, about your friends and most importantly, your lies then stay with him but you have a week to decide" She stood up. "I'll text you on Boxing day babe" She winked and walked off.

I stared in shock. She wasn't serious was she? So Oli cheated on me with Lisa? Everything he told me was a lie. I need to fix this and go home. I left the coffee shop and went over to the spot where we said we would all meet up. I spotted Matt and Stephanie snogging next to HMV. Ew. They stopped and Steph looked my way. "Case!" She sang as she skipped over to me. "So who was it?".

I looked between them and smiled. "No one showed up. Guess it was just some stupid prank" I shrugged.

"That's hilarious. They probably realised how stupid it was trying to cross Oli and Casey Sykes" Matt winked. I laughed nervously, he was nice enough to make me feel comfortable but I knew he didn't buy it.

"Yeah, it's a shame" I nodded.

"Well well well, how did it go?" I heard Oli approach me. Lee, Nicholls and Jordan followed him.

"It was a no show" Stephanie answered for me.

"What? Seriously?" Oli asked with confusion.

"It's okay, it's over" I smiled up at him.

"Good, let's go get some food" He said grabbing my hand. We all decided to go to pizza hut for dinner but for me, I had much more to think about than pizza. What am I gonna do?
