It was safe to say that in the morning, it was pretty damn awkward between me, tony and Vic.
vic had bloodshot puffy eyes and clenched his jaw all the way through breakfast. Tony kept his eyes on his food and I just looked at the both of them and sat there without saying a word.

"me and mike are going out for a walk today if anyone wants to join?" Beth finally broke the silence.
"I'll join, need to get some things out of my mind." I decided to pipe up and actually go out for once since I never see the sun anymore.
"I'll go too." Vic said straight after. Great, looks like I won't be having a very good day.

On our walk, Beth and mike were holding hands like the cute couple in front and me and Vic just stayed behind not talking. We've always had something to say to each other but today was different.

"Do you remember anything from last night?" I asked cautiously.
"not exactly. I remember telling you some things about how I feel but that's it."
"you told me and tony to fuck ourselves and you pushed us out of the way."
"I.. Stace I'm so so sorry I didn't.. I didn't mean to do that! Drunken mist-"
"save it Vic. I know you didn't mean any of it."
"you're wrong. I meant all I said about how I feel about you"

i didnt dnt know what to say, so I left it awkwardly hanging.

"let's take a detour to the beach and I'll buy you and ice cream since it's so hot, yeah?"
vic knew the way to my heart, food.

i smiled and took his hand and called Beth and mike.
"we're going to the beach, we'll meet you at the mall in 3 hours! If we're not there we'll meet you back at the bus at 7!" I called to Beth and mike stood there smiling, like he was actually happy for me and Vic.
"go on lover boy, we both know you won't be back until 10! It's your day off, have some fun!" Mike winked at Vic and let us go down a long wooded path with loads of flowers and sand leading to the beach. It was really pretty.

"I kind of have a surprise for you.." Vic said shyly.
"what is it? You know I hate surprises!" I looked around in case it was something scary, it made my anxiety rise but then dropped because I knew Vic wouldn't do something like that to me. I relaxed and let him out a blindfold over me and cautiously drive me through the path. I felt sand between my feet because I took my vans off, it was so warm here!

"come on Vic I'm getting impatient!"
"2 minutes, just 2 more minutes!"
he drove me further and further down the beach but I didn't hear no voices. No people. Which was weird since it was so warm..

"okay, you can take it off now."

i took the blindfold off and what I saw was amazing.

"Vic it's.."
"I know, come on."
