Guitars and Love

Ashleys POV~
I sat on the floor in my room practicing Black Veil Brides song Wretched and Divine on my guitar. I think I got it down, it sound more like then song now then from when I first started. Then there was a knock on my door.
“COME IN!” I yelled as I played the song.
My mom came in with a gift bag in her hand. She smiled and handed it to me.
“what? My birthdays not until two weeks?” I said putting down my guitar and taking the bag.
“Its from your dad, he said to open now” she said with a smile and left my room.
That’s weird my dad normally gave me my present after my birthday, this is new.
I opened the bag and found a shirt, I unfolded it. It was a plain shirt, okay? I went back into the bag and found 12 different colors of fabric paint, with a few brushes. I put them on my bed and then pulled out a little box from the bag. I think it’s a necklace. I opened the box and found two tickets for warped tour. Oh my god! I was pretty sure I wasn’t going this year, ah im excited. My phone rang, which scared me.
“Hello?” i said as I answered.
“Hey mamas, do you like your gift?” my dad said.
“YES! THANK YOU SO MUCH!” I yelled a little too excited.
“I know you wanted to go and since its on your birthday, I thought youd like it”
“Thank you dad! Love you!”
“love you too, I gotta go back to work so ill talk to you later okay”
“okay,bye dad” I said hunging up the phone.
I plugged my ipod in my stereo and started blasting Before their eyes and got started on my shirt.
It was Friday, the day before my birthday, and my mom had the whole family over since I wasnt gonna be home tomorrow. We played games; I opened gifts, and ate food.
“Happy Birthday!” Nat yelled walking through the sliding door with her arms wide open and a gift in her hand.
“Hey!” I said giving her a hug.
“here, I saw it at hot topic and it reminded me of you” she said handing me the bag.
I opened it and it was a Pierce the Veil shirt and necklace.
“Thanks, Ive been wanting this necklace!” I said giving her another hug.
“I know” she said with a laugh. “Hey wheres everyone?”
“Theyre over there at the table” I said pointing to our friends.
“okay, are you coming?” she said starting to walk toward them.
“yeah I just needa get a few things”
“okay”
The next day~
Nat slept over since we were going to warped. I woke up and it was 9 o clock. I kicked nat but she just put the pillow over her head. So I pushed her off the bed.
“ugh! Why!” she yelled slowly getting up.
“Come on, we gotta get ready for warped” I said getting my clothes out from the closet.
“oh shit! What time is it?” she said going threw her bag.
“it nine, we got time, as long as we finish by 12” I said grabbing my makeup bag. “oh, you could use the bathroom in the hallway” I said going into my bathroom.
“okay” she said walking out of my room.
I took a quick shower and got ready. I was wearing the shirt I made, which had all the bands I liked on it, with some black shorts. I slipped on my vans and put up my wet hair in a towel. I did my makeup, I decided to go with a Smokey black look with a hint of green to it. When I finished I started blow drying my hair, then straighten it and put on my green beanie. I was done and it was barely 10, I walked out of my room and saw nat sitting at the table. She was wearing a Sleeping with sirens shirt with black skinny jeans and red vans. And since her hair is short she didn’t really have to do anything to it and it still looked amazing.
“Hey” I said opening the refrigerator.
“Hey, guess whos going to warped?” she said looking down at her phone.
“Who?” I said grabbing the eggs and bacon.
“Eric” she said with a slight smile.
Eric is a guy she has a huge crush on. It sucks his going cause then shes gonna ditch me, shes done it before.
“awesome” I said trying to sound excited.
“Come on Ash, don’t be like that”
“as long as you don’t ditch me again” I said starting to cook.
She was quiet for a minute and then answered “ I wont I promise”
I finished cooking and we ate, and talked about what bands were going to see. I went back to my room and grabbed my purse and phone.
“Hey mom, im leaving, ill be back later” I yelled from down stairs.
“Becareful” she yelled back.
“Always am” I yelled before closing the door and walking to my car.
On our way, me and Nat were jamming out to Memphis May Fire.
“I know the whole guitar part for this song” I said to her, while making a turn onto the freeway.
“Dude, what song don’t you know?” she said laughing.
“um, all of One directions songs” I said.
“Oh my god, shut up” she said rolling her eyes with a laugh.
The drive took about an hour, but it didn’t feel like it cause we were being idiots. Singing loud, head banging, air guitaring and drumming. Something we always did. We finally got to entrance and parked and got off.
We first saw never shout never, it was pretty fun. Then we came across Escape the fate, it got intense. I ended up in the mosh pit for a while, it wasn’t that bad, it was rather fun. Nat was crowed surfing while I was moshing. After seeing a couple more bands we didn’t really know we decided to get water. There was so many people here, we met a couple of people that were next to us. They completed us on what we were wearing and what not. Then we went and saw Asking Alexandria, their always fun to watch. How could you not love Danny worsnop? We went on to see Memphis may fire, Sleeping with sirens, Black Veil Brides, and A Day to Remember. This was the best birthday ever, me and Nat were having a blast seeing all our favorite bands. At last Pierce the Veil was taking the stage. I was freaking excited, you don’t know how much I love this band. Me and Nat pushed our way to the front.
Hell above started playing and we were jumping and singing along with Vic.
Then out of nowhere this guy grabbed my arm and started pulling me back.
I turned around and yelled at him. “WHAT THE HELL?”
“MOVE!” He yelled back, tightening his grip around my arm.
I punched him in the face and he went to hit me back and then someone caught his fist. I turned to see this guy, he punched the guy and pushed him into the mosh pit.
“Hey you okay?” he said looking at me.
“Yeah, thank you” I said holding on my arm.
“No problem Im Jake” he said with a smile.
Man, he was gorgeous. He had short dark brown hair and had tattoos on his arms.
“Im Ashley” I said returning the smile. I turned to introduce him to Nat but she was gone. Damn it, she ditched me again, I guess she found Eric.
“I was gonna introduce you to my friend but she disappeared” I said looking at him.
“ha I know how you feel my friend ditched me along time ago” he said with a laugh.
We continued rocking out to Pierce the Veil, it was fun, me and jake were singing to every song. It felt like ive known him forever. Just as the song finished Nat showed up with Danny.
“Hey” she said to me with a smile.
I smiled at her and focused my attention to Vic who was about to talk.
“Whats up Albuquerque!” he yelled into the mic.
The whole crowed went crazy.
“Alright, so who here has a birthday today” Vic said with a smile.
I quickly streached out my arm and started jumping hoping hed notice me.
“Theres a lot of birthdays today, were gonna pick one lucky person to come up here with us” he said scanning the crowed.
Everyone was going crazying, including me, I really wanted to be picked.
“Man, this is tough one, hey Tony” Vic said turning to Tony.
There freakin’ sexy guitarist.
Tony gave him a nod.
“May you do the honors and pick” Vic said to him.
Tony smiled and scanned the crowed looking for someone to pick. Then we locked eyes with one another. He smiled and pointed at me, I froze. The security helped me over the barricade and onto the stage were Vic grabbed my hand and led me to a chair that was on stage. I sat there, with my hand intertwined with Vics. Then He asked me my name and started sing Happy Birthday to me, the rest of the band and the crowed joined in. I was screaming in my head, I couldn’t believe this was happening to me.
“Okay Ashley, ive got one more song for you, but you gotta sing it with me” Vic said.
I had no words, I just smiled and nodded.
He started singing hold on till may. When it was the right time for me to sing he put the mike in front of me and I sang. He gave me a hug and told me to wait on the side of the stage. I watched them play 3 more songs before getting off stage.
“wait right here” the security guard said to me as I waited on the side of the tent.
Then Mike came up to me with a towel wrapped around his neck.
“Hey Birthday girl” he said smiling as he approached me.
“Hi” I said smiling.
"Thats a tight shirt, i like it" He said looking at my shirt.
"Thanks, i made it" I said with smile.
"Did you paint it?"
"Yeah"
"You got mad skills, i love how you have every member of every band on it, thats cool."
"Thanks it took awhile but i got all my favorites on here" i said with a smile.
"I see me" he said pointing at himself.
“Ok, So how old are you today?”
“im 19” i said.
“Woo! 2 more years and you could drink” he said with a huge grin. “I couldn’t wait till I was 21, I didn’t I just did what I wanted.”
I smiled at him “I drank a few times before.”
He gave me a high five and then handed me a drumstick. ”here, thought you might like it”
“Thank you! This is pretty awesome” I replayed admiring it.
Then Vic and Jaime came my way.
“Ashley, follow us please” Vic said with a smile.
For a second I thought this is how people kidnap people but then again I wouldn’t mind them kidnapping me. I laughed to myself as I followed them under the tent.
“Pick one anyone if the price is right” Jaime said moving his arms around the merch that layed there.
“Ashley, pick one you want, free” Vic said smiling at me.
“Wait? Forreal?” I said smiling like an idiot.
“Yeah, our gift to you” Vic said.
“Singing to me was a pretty good gift” I blurted out not meaning to say that. I had a huge smile on my face.
They laughed and waited.
“Ashley, were not gonna let you leave if you don’t pick one” Jaime said with his arms crossed.
Hmm that’s not a bad idea, just stall all day so I don’t have to leave. But no, I couldn’t do that. I smiled at them and picked this really cool shirt with them on it.
“Good choice” Vic said grabbing it from my hands and proceeded on to signing it.
Then there was a tap on my shoulder, I turned to see Tony smiling at me.
“Here” he said handing me a guitar pick, which had a turtle on it.”Happy Birthday” he said still smiling.
“Thank you Tony” I said with a smile.
“Tony Catch!” Mike said throwing the marker and shirt to Tony.
He caught them both and signed it.
“Thank you guys so much, you’ve made my birthday the best ive had” I said looking at them.
“No problem” Vic said.
“Can I have a picture please, I don’t mean to bug” I asked.
“Of course!” Mike yelled pulling me into a hug.
After I took pictures with them, Tony handed me the shirt, and I said my goodbyes to them. I didn’t wanna leave it was just so perfect. I found my way to Nat who was with Danny and Jake.
“OH MY GOD DUDE!” Nat yelled when she saw me.
“I know! I know!” I said smiling like an idiot.
We all proceed on watching the rest of the bands and buying merch and meeting other bands. Today was an awesome day to have a birthday. I exchanged phone numbers with Jake before me and Nat left. We grabbed some food before I dropped her off at her house.
“Bye girly” I said to her as she go out.
“glad you had an awesome birthday, thanks for letting me be part of it” she said grinning.
“You’re my best friend of course, and it wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t have you there with me” I said.
“Bye, be careful” she said before walking up to her house.
I left and drove straight home, I was exhausted. As soon as I got home, I laid on my bed and crashed out.
