Fast Times at Clairemont High

"Tony is coming over, Father." I informed him. My mother had stormed out last night and hasnt come back.

My father nodded.

"Will Mum be coming back?" Audrey asked. She sounded scared.

"There's no telling... I hope she doesn't." My father said bitterly. Audrey let out a stiff laugh. The doorbell rang and Audrey ran to get it.

"Tony!" She shouted, jumping on him. He laughed and hugged her. "You really scared me..." She whispered into his ear. He kissed her forehead. Her cheeks turned red.

"I'm sorry." He whispered back. Her eyes filled with tears, and she hugged him again. We sat down on the couch and flicked on the tube. We watched TV for a bit, and then Audrey fell asleep on Tony.

"I love you, Tony..." She mumbled in her sleep, and Tony surpressed a laugh. He ran his fingers through her hair.

The door slammed, and I saw the person I dreaded most. Mum.

"What're you doing? Fucking another guy? You're such a whore!" My mother shouted at me.

"Da-" I was cutoff by a punch delivered to my cheek. My dad came running down the stairs.

"THAT IS ENOUGH, AMANDA! GET YOUR STUFF AND GET OUT!" My father yelled at the top of his lungs. My mother stormed upstairs. Tears ran down my face as I held my cheek.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded, even though my cheek was throbbing. I saw Tony looking shocked and Audrey crying into his shirt.
