Over the Ocean through the waves

*2 years later*

"Hey babe" " Hey Madeleine you ready for this?" "Dude we're only leaving for tour in a week why stress now?" "Just been thinking a lot you know" "Vic?" "Yea I really think I love him but we knew it would never have lasted plus I saw him tweet a photo of him and some other girl so I'm just working through it" "Aw honey" she wrapped her arms around me while I cried " He never came back..he promised me I waited after a year and a half he just decides to stop it all " "shh honey its ok " "What did I do wrong Madz I was faithful I talked to him when he had time for me I supported him where did I lose him" "Sweety its not your fault ok look at me" she placed her hand under my chin and lifted my head so that I was looking at her "Dam you're a mess but your eyes are so pretty when you cry dammit" I laughed at her comment wiping away my tears smiling " Lets go we have a show to do"

Later that night

''LETS GO" I shouted at mads over the dj's awful music taste we were done with our set and heading home "I cant believe we got to perform with Fokofpolisiekar they are South-African legends when it comes to performing " "We''ll see them at Ramfest remember " "I cant wait!" " I swear maddy you have the heart of a 14-year old fangirl" "I never grew out of that I guess she smiled climbing into my car ever since she moved in 2 months ago I was handling the Vic drama a lot better the boys came over once and a while but mostly Christiaan came over he's the 1st one I call when I feel down "Are you ready for tomorrow?" " I'm never ready for the 26th you know that" "Doyou want me to go along for support ?" " No Christiaan is the only support I need tomorrow " " Okay "

When we got home I drank some water and made my way over to the shower letting the hot water run over me tomorrow marks the anniversary of my parents death a day I hated me and Christiaan would wear black and take flowers to their graves just talking to them filling them in on what's going on and how we miss them then we would go to a small cafe and drink coffee and talk about the good old days

"Dude I also want some hot water you know " I heard Madeleine calling from the other side of the door I climbed out and went to my room not caring about my wet hair it was a hot night so I just decided to sleep in a sports bra and short pj pants not caring at all it's not like any guys lived with us.

*Next day*

So its the 26th I decided not a plain black dress with a belt around my waist and black pumps i had my hair down and put a little make up on Christiaan came over at about 10am and we went to the supermarket and bought them flowers Christiaan buying my dad some white flowers and me buying yellow for my mum we earned some strange glances because it was February the hottest month of the year and we were dressed in black

They were buried in Kraaifontein so it wasn't a long drive we walked to their graves "Hi mamma ,hi pappa " I said kneeling down putting my mothers flowers on her grave Christiaan doing the same "Hi pa,hi ma " he told them about his new job as an lights technician for concerts and how he'll make them proud a few tears spilling "I miss you mamma I need my ma to tell me how to get over a boy and I need my daddy to help his little girl smile again" I said tears flowing I told them how we were playing at Ramfest and going on tour after that I told them that me and Vic broke up but it's ok I would make them grandparents one day. We said our goodbye's and went to our cafe for coffee

"Remember when you were 3 and made me play dress up with you the look on ma's face when she saw me wearing lip stick was priceless!" We both laughed at the memory remembering innocent times "So ramfest ?" "Yea I'm real surprised we got the offer but so glad we accepted " "Know any bands?" " Bring me the horizon are playing they did before I also heard something about Motionless in white but we arent sure yet " "Need a light guy?" "You're automatically on already " "After Ramfest we are doing a headlining tour in USA thanks to ptv when we were still cool " "So you'll be seeing Vic then?" "Yes but all professional he has a new girl in any case so I'll just deal " " I'm going with then" "Anytime I'll just tell the band but they won't worry " "I'm going to USA and Ramfest dam I love this year so far " he said with a smile he reminded me a lot of my dad but then again I look like my mom so people always think we're a couple which can get annoying

On our way to the car I was stopped for pictures and autographs while Christiaan laughed at the way I tried getting the smile off my face afterwards we climbed into the car him going on about the tours in 6 days we were leaving 1st for Ramfest then USA so we had a lot of packing to do he dropped me off and I went in to only see a panicked Madeleine running around like a mad person "Dude what the fuck" "I cant find my black skinny jean! I need it for the flight!" "Maddy" "Whaaat" " You're wearing them" I said bursting out in laughter " O God why am I so stupid " she said facepalming herself making me laugh even more
"Sweety you are anything besides that and you know it" " I guess.."

After dinner I sat on her bed watching her pack I'd start tomorrow "So you ready to see Tony again?" "Yea we never had sex or anything so it wouldn't be awkward sure we kissed and shit but we never tried a relationship thing like you and Vic..are you ready to face him?" "No" i said in all honesty I'd never be ready to see him moved on and finding love and happiness without me.. "Stop thinking things like that" "Shit did I say that all?" "Yes now sit on my suitcase so that i can close it" I climbed onto her suitcase "What the fuck is in here " "Shoes" "The fuck you need so many for" " It's a 6 month tour plus parties weather and exercise shoes" "You have too many shoes" " I gave half away to charity last week " " Yea I know you gave away my wedding shoes" "I said sorry jeees" " Night sweety don't stay up too long ok?" "Jaaa ma " she said rolling her eyes
