Dani’s Pov

A small part of me had hoped that Jaime would come to the airport and stop me from leaving, but then again another part of me hoped that all of this was just a dream and when I wake up, I'll be back with my mum, content with not knowing who my real father was.

I sighed and put in my headphones in as I tried to catch some sleep during my long flight.

I landed in London around 1:45pm but after realizing that it was only 5am back in San Diego I decided it would be better to just send a group message to the guys before grabbing my bags and looking for Leo, which was surprisingly easier thatn I thought it would be considering the enormous amount of people. As soon as, we had met up, we wasted no time in reaching the car and begiing the long journey home.

For those who don't know, Leo was my mum's best friend and her boyfriend. He lived with us for the majority of the time and thus became the closest thing I had to a dad growing up. I had always known he wasn't my dad though. We never had that father/daughter bond that I had craved. Yes, he treated me like his own, but to me there was always something missing.

“Dani, we're here.” Leo said opening my door and bring me out of my thoughts.

I looked at the house in front of me. It was my house but it didn't feel like home to me.

“What's wrong?”

“Nothing…...it's just this is a lot harder than I thought it would be.” I sighed and got out.

We grabbed my bags and walked inside. Everything was basically how I had left it minus a few obvious things.

“So what do you want to do?”

"I don't know. I kind of just want to get settled in.” I shrugged

"Okay. Well I'll be down here if you need me.” I nodded before taking my bags upstairs to my old room and beginning to unpack.

Honestly, it's so weird being here….it doesn't feel like home anymore. No, maybe I just need some time to get back in the swing of things. Yeah that's probably it…..

The rest of my day was spent unpacking, texting the boys back in our group chat, and catching up Leo on everything that had happened since last seeing each other. To say the least he was surprised and angry. From what he had heard and seen, he never thought that Jaime would act like that, especially to his own daughter.

Sadly, I was the only one who didn't completely blame Jaime. I was trouble, and I was well aware that I wasn't good enough to be his daughter, but hey sometimes that's just how life goes.
