Jaime's POV

On the way home I sat in the back of the car with Dani curled up in my lap as Tony drove.

She cried, and cried, and cried, until she exhausted herself and fell asleep.

Once home I tucked Dani in her bed, before heading back down stairs.

"We're going to head home give you guys some space, we'll check in tomorrow, alright?" Vic said

"Alright, thanks guys." They left and I retreated to my own room.

Dani's POV

I woke up and began crying. I had lost the one person that had been there for me since I was born, the one person who I looked to for answers and advice, the one person I could rely on.

One week later. ~

I hadn't left my room since that night except for going to the funeral. The funeral was 3 days after her death. Despite the enormous amount of people who showed up, I sat alone. Since then I still haven't associated with anyone.

I was brought out of my thoughts by someone, probably Jaime, knocking on my door.

Knock Knock

I pulled the cover tighter around me.

"Dani, I know you're upset and all, but locking yourself in your room all week isn't helping. Your mom wouldn't want you sitting here depressed, she would want you out exploring the world and being happy." He said coming in and sitting on my bed.

"I'll tell you what. How about we hang out today? Watch movies, eat candy, play games. Anything you want?"

"Okay" I nodded.

After Jaime went back downstairs I got out of bed and took a shower. I got out and put on a pair of joggers and a tank top, before going downstairs to see my dad eating breakfast. I took a piece of toast and spread some jam on it and sat down.

"So I was thinking we could invite the guys over later, they really miss hanging out with you, is that alright?"

I nodded and got up and followed dad to the living room. I saw a soccer ball in the corner of the room and smiled remembering how I use to play all the time back in London.

"You play soccer?" Jaime asked

"A little bit" I said.

"Well come on, show me what you got." Jaime said grabbing the ball. I pulled up my hair and slipped on my cleats before we walked outside and to the park down the street.

"We have about an hour before the guys show up. Whoever wins gets to choose what we do."

"Deal" I said and stole the ball from him and scored a goal.

"Oh it's on." He said and so the game began.

We had about 5 minutes left and I was way ahead in points, but of course dad didn't want to lose so the last goal was worth at least 30 points.

I took a deep breath and waited for dad to kick the ball. He thought he was quick but he wasn't quick enough. I fought for the ball and got it away from him and just for fun did what my mom would call a fancy kick, and kicked the ball up into the air and then straight into the goal.

"AND SHE'S DONE IT, DANIELLA HAS WON YET ANOTHER GAME, AND REMAINS THE ULTIMATE SOCCER CHAMP" I yelled and danced around. I noticed a few people on the other field pausing their game to stare at me and smile. I awkwardly smiled back and turned back to Jaime.

"Haha alright soccer champ let's get back home before the guys get worried" he said a little out of breath.

“Alright.” I laughed and we walked back home. Once home we realized that the guys were yet to arrive.

“Well what do you wanna do?"

"Let's just go swimming and then watch some movies."

"Alright sounds good." He smiled. I got up and changed before coming back down stairs.

"Dad?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"Can you braid my hair, mum always did it so my hair wouldn't be all over the place " I said nervously.

"Of course." He smiled and I sat in front of him. I heard the door open and was happy to see all the guys, even Jacob showed up.

"Uhh Jaime, what are you doing?" Jacob laughed

"Trying to braid her hair." He sighed.

"You're doing it wrong, here let me do it." Tony said sitting in front of me before signaling for me to turn around. I was now sat facing my dad.

Dad got his phone out and started taking selfies with all of us. Most of them were of us looking silly except for one of them where we all had the biggest smiles ever. And we talked about how I totally beat my dad at soccer today.

"Done now let's go get wet!!!!" Tony yelled and ran towards the pool.

I laughed before grabbing my phone and following the other's.

I was having so much fun until Jacob began splashing me a lot. It seemed like he was trying to get a rise out of me, and when I had finally yelled at him to stop he smirked at my reaction. What a prick.

Jaime's POV.

"Who wants a drink?" I asked getting out of the pool.

"Beer."

"Beer"

"Whiskey"

"Water"

"Tea" I laughed at Dani's decision before walking inside and getting what everyone wanted and walking back out.

I sat at the table and watched as Dani dived into the pool and splashed Tony and Jacob. Jacob, of course, got mad and rolled his eyes. I wish he'd give Dani a chance, she needs friends her age here, not guys almost twice her age.

"You know you're doing a good job." Vic said sitting next to me.

"I couldn't even braid her hair." I laughed

"Yeah, but you got her to come out of her room. You got her smiling again."

I smiled and looked at the pictures I had taken today with Dani from her playing soccer and the ones I had just taken. I quickly made them into a collage and posted it with the caption "Spending the day with my beautiful daughter and my best friends, couldn't have asked for anything else."

I noticed Dani reach for her phone and smile before liking the picture. "Thank you for today dad, you're the best" She commented and that's when all the fans began to freak out.

After it started getting dark we all went back inside and changed

"Thanks you for today dad. I really needed it." She said and sat down next to me.

"No problem." I said pulling her into a side hug and kissing the top of her head.

I was so glad that I could get Dani smiling again. It Honestly hurt so much to see my baby girl in pain and seeing her smile just lit up my world. I can't wait to spend more days like today with her.
