"Hello? Leo what's up?"

"It's your mum, she-she's in the hospital. She was feeling better and wanted to come see you, but once we landed everything took a turn for the worst. You need to come to the San Diego hospital now."

'What? Why, what’s wrong with her?"

"Daniella, she's dying of cancer."

"No.That can’t be true, I’ve never noticed anything wrong with her…..."

"I wish I was lying, just…..>Dani let me talk to Jaime." I slowly walked into the living room and handed Jaime my phone, before sitting next to Tony.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

That's when I lost it. Every sign of my mother being sick finally hit me. I clung to Tony's shirt and began sobbing.

I heard Jaime gasp and before I knew it Tony had picked me up and carried me to the car. In what seemed like minutes we were at the hospital and I was running up to the desk.

"I need to see my-my mum. Victoria Gonzalez." The nurse gave me the look, and I knew this would be the last time I see my mum.

"She's in room 100." With those words I ran to my mother's room only to freeze outside the door.

I can't. I don't know what to say to her or do. I took a deep breath and leaned against the wall.

"Hey come on we can do this together." Jaime said pulling me into a hug, I nodded and in all 6 of us entered the room.

My mother laid there reading, but with the sound of us coming in she looked up.

"Daniella." She whispered

"Hi mum." I smiled through the tears and sat next to her bed.

"Baby you know I hate it when you cry, please smile, for me." I nodded and cleared my face of all my tears before smiling at my mother.

"There's that beautiful smile I love so much." She said running her hand through my hair.

"What did you do today?" She asked

"We finished decorating my room, it took us longer than expected because Tony started a paint war." I giggled. "I wish you could see it"

"What color did you paint it?" She asked

"Ombre blue "

"You and the color blue, I swear." She laughed but soon began coughing.

"Do you need some water or something?"

"No baby. Just tell me more about your room and your adventures in America so far" I smiled and told almost every little detail of being at Jamie's house, but when it got to the part of Jacob, I began whispering causing my mother to laugh.

"I'm sorry for being so angry at you, you were only trying to do what was best for me and I was being selfish." I finished off

"It's okay baby."

"I love you mum."

"I love you more."

"Forever?"

"And always." She finished, before looking behind me and smiling.

"Dani go talk to Leo, while I talk to these 5 handsome boys you brought a long." I laughed before leaving the room.

Jaime's POV

As Dani left we all, including Jacob, stepped forward and stood around the bed.

"I thought we'd all be meeting again in a different situation than this, but here we are." She chuckled.

"Victoria....."

"Jaime, please. I love you, but I sent her to find Leo so I could talk to all of you alone." I nodded

"Guys. I love you all and I truly am sorry about everything that happened, but I trust you 4 to take care of Dani for me." She coughed, but when we reached for her she put a hand up.

"I'm fine. About Dani, it'll take some time for her to open up to you about some things, but you just have to be patient with her. She can be a real pain sometimes, but she's so talented and just the most amazing person. She's kind and will do anything to make other's happy even if it means putting her feelings aside for others. Please promise no stupid boy or bully or anyone will hurt her " She said as her eyes began to tear up.

"We'll take care of her." I said

"We promise." Tony added.

She smiled wiping her eyes as Dani came walking in with Leo.

We spent the rest of the day talking about old times.

"Dani sing for me, please?" Victoria whispered.

Dani grabbed Victoria's hand and began to sing.

"It well may be
That we will never meet again In this lifetime.
So, let me say before we part:
So much of me
Is made of what I learned from you.
You'll be with me
Like a hand print on my heart.
And now whatever way our stories end
I know you have rewritten mine
By being my friend."

I looked at the other's to see them just as surprised as I was. It was like a scene from a movie.

"Like a ship blown from it's mooring
By a wind off the sea.
Like a seed dropped by a sky bird
In a distant wood.
Who can say if I've been changed for the better
But because I knew you... " I watched as a tear rolled down Dani's cheek as she let out a small cry.

"Because I knew you
I have been changed...
For good."

I looked up to see Dani crying as Victoria's eyes began to close.

As the heart monitor flat lined, Daniella's sobs grew louder. I stood up and slowly pulled my daughter away from Victoria and out of the room and held her as she cried for her mother.
