Dying To Know What It Is That You're Thinking

**Ahna’s POV**

I went back to the lounge after Millie left and got dressed. I put on a Misfits muscle shirt. It made me a little uncomfortable to wear something a bit revealing, but I loved showing off my heavily tattooed arms. I popped in my lip and nose piercings and smiled to myself. “I liked it better before you put the shirt on.” I jumped as I heard Mike’s voice behind me, and turned around to see him watching me with a smirk on his lips.

“Hey, creeper,” I winked at him.

“PTV isn’t playing till late tonight, so what do you wanna do?” he asked me.

“Eh, I don’t know. Got anything in mind?”

“I wanna take you out and show off my sexy girlfriend,” he gave me that smirk again. “Can I take a picture of you?”

“No, you can take a picture with me,” I said, biting nervously at my lip ring. Without a response, Mike got up and scooped me into his arms. As we stood in front of the full-length mirror, Mike hugged my small frame from behind. He had one arm around my waist and the other holding up his phone. I tucked my head under his chin and looked down a bit, a small, happy smile tugging the corners of my lips up. Once he took the picture, it honestly did look really cute.

Instagram:
@ptvmike took a photo of you.
If you guys have anything negative to say about my Angel, DON’T. I love this girl and I don’t wanna hear any shit about her, because she is perfect. @ahnamonsta love you, Baby Girl.

“I think I know what I wanna do today,” Mike mumbled hungrily as he nibbled my neck.

“Too late, I’m dressed now,” I laughed, turning around to give him a quick kiss on the lips.

**Vic’s POV**

“Seriously, Alex?” I muttered after Millie left.

“What?” he asked innocently.

“Vic’s tryna tap that,” Jack explained.

“Oh my god, man I’m so sorry! I didn’t realize,” Alex apologized.
“It’s fine,” I grumbled. “Just be good to her tonight, understand?”

“Of course, Vic! I wouldn’t hurt her, you know me,” Alex assured me.

**Milinda’s POV**

“Hello?” I answered my phone curiously, not recognizing me number. I was walking around the venue, just enjoying my free time along with the beautiful scenery.

“Hey, It’s Alex. Vic gave me your number, I hope that’s okay.”

“Of course!” I giggled, happy that he’d called.

“So, where do you want to go tonight?” he asked. I could hear the smile in his voice as he spoke.

“It doesn’t matter to me but it’s going to have to be late,” I informed him, remembering that I had to sing for Miranda that night.

“That’s cool, but why?” he asked.

“Miranda can’t sing tonight so I have to fill in for her.”

“Oh, that’s awesome! You should let Alex come sidestage and watch because he’s adorable.”

“You know what’s not adorable?” I smirked even though he couldn’t see me.

“Hm?”

“Talking in the third person, dork,” I giggled. “Just come to my bus in an hour and we’ll be about to go on, then we’ll figure it out from there.”

“You got it, beautiful.” The phone beeped, signalling that Alex hung up.

With that, I went back to the bus to find Ahna. Her and Mike were outside on a large blanket. There was some food sitting on plates – one empty and one half-empty. Ahna was laying with her head in Mike’s lap as he sat Indian-style smoking a cigarette. “Hey, guys. Ahn, can I ask you something?”

“Sure, anything,” she answered, patting the ground next to her and turning her head to face the spot she gestured for me to sit in. I complied, sitting down and sighing.
“Where should I go with Alex tonight?”

“Alex?!” Mike questioned intensely.

“Uh, yeah… why?” I raised an eyebrow. What’s his deal?!

“I thought you and Vic-” I cut Mike off.

“Well Alex asked me out right in front of Vic and he didn’t seem to care.”

“So you’re only going out with Alex because Vic didn’t say no?!”

“Oh my god, Mike! I don’t get what your problem is! Besides, I’ve had a crush on Alex since I first heard Jasey Rae,” I stood up, frustrated.

“Look, I’m sorry,” Mie tossed away his cigarette butt and raise his hands defensively, “I just thought that Vic would- Never mind. It’s not a big deal. Babe, I think I’m gonna get going, we need to start our soundcheck soon,” he looked down as he spoke to Ahna, then gave her a quick kiss on the lips.

“Ugh, fineee,” she grumbled. “Can I come see your set?”

“Of course, babe, I’ll text you when we’re starting.”

After they exchanged sickeningly sweet goodbyes and such, Ahna and I went inside to talk. “So you’re pissed that Vic wasn’t mad?” she asked bluntly.

“No… I don’t know. I guess so, but I’m also super excited to go out with Alex!”

We talked for a while longer, then we had to go set up for the CB show.

“How are we doing today?” I yelled into the microphone. “I know that you didn’t expect to see me tonight, but Miri over there can’t sing, so she needs her pink-haired vocal instructor to fill in.”

“Can we get a huge applause for Millie for singing with us tonight?!” Rena shouted into hers.

“Let’s get it started, this first song is my personal favorite, and one that is so relevant to my life right now – Drawing a Blank!!!

Break it apart just tear it down
The world is lost no solid ground
Gave you a chance now I’m empty
Strangle my life nothing left of me

You, you’re always choosing sides
But I’m just choosing you
Crying tears I’ve cried

But now I’m drawing a blank
Nothing that you say, nothing that you do
Makes any sense, any sense anyway
Cause I thought that I knew what I wanted from you
But now I’m drawing a blank

Change all the facts, zero me out
Buried in your wreckage, fallen down
If I had a chance to understand how to get through, give it up again

You, your always choosing sides
Now the side is choosing you
Crying tears I’ve cried

But now I’m drawing a blank
Nothing that you say, nothing that you do
Makes any sense, any sense anyway
Cause I thought that I knew what I wanted from you
But now I’m drawing a blank

What would keep you warm at night?
What would change your dark to light?
Take what’s broken make it right
Make me believe it’s worth the fight
It’s worth the fight

But now I’m drawing a blank
Nothing that you say, nothing you do
Makes any sense, any sense anyway
Cause I thought that I knew what I wanted from you
What are you trying to prove?
Cause now I’m drawing a blank!

I listened to the crowd scream as we finished, and god did it feel amazing. I looked to the side of the stage and saw Alex, Mike, Ahna and Vic.

“Thank you so much for filling in for Miri tonight!” Rena smiled over at me as she spoke into her mic once we finished the set. After a bit more chatting with the crowd, we ran off the stage.

“You did amazing!” Alex was the first to greet me, placing his hands on my hips.

“Yeah, you’re great!” Vic cut in, pulling me away from Alex and into a hug.

“So what do you wanna do tonight, pretty girl?” Alex asked once I pulled away from Vic, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

“It really doesn’t matter to me, it’s only three in the afternoon, so we can really do whatever you want. I have to shower first though,” I giggled, looking up at Alex and blushing.

“Well, you text me when you’re ready and I’ll meet you at your bus.”

“You got it!” I didn’t even stick around to pack up after the show.

I went back to the bus and quickly stripped down and got into the shower. I washed and shaved everything that needed to be, then got out. About forty-five minutes later, I was ready. I pulled out my phone to text my date.

To: Alex
Ready when you are :)

Great cya soon pretty girl ;)

Not a minute later, I heard a knock on the door. “Hey,” I opened it with a smile, surprised to see Vic on the other side.

“Hey, Millz. Woah, nice belly button ring. Oh, anyway, I just wanted to-”

“Vic, what are you doing here?” Alex asked, his face unreadable, as he came up to the still-opened door.

“Mike left his shirt here and he wanted it for our show,” he lied with an irritated tone in his voiceas he went back to the lounge.

“Vic, we’re heading out, you can leave the door unlocked for the kids,” I told him, my voice just as harsh as his. I took Alex’s hand in mine and pulled him out of the bus.

“Where are we going?” he chuckled.

“I don’t care. Away,” I muttered.

“Well I think the OMAM crew is having a cookout we could crash.”

“Sounds perfect,” I smiled brightly, leaning my head gently on Alex’s shoulder. He pulled his hand free from mine and let his arm rest casually over my shoulders.

“Hey, Alex!” we were greeted by the Austin Carlile. I froze, causing Alex to stumble a bit. “Hey, frozen fangirl,” Austin laughed a bit, but in a kind way.

“I-I’m sorry… I’m Milinda, I’m with-”

“Oh, that’s right! You sang with Cherri Bomb today! Talented kids, ya know. I met Nia at the kickoff party,” his smile was beautiful. Snap out of it, you’re here with Alex, I reminded myself.

“Yeah, they really are. I gave all the girls vocal lessons and Casey is my cousin. I’m really proud of them,” I told him. Alex squeezed my shoulders a bit, smiling down at me.

“Well, it’s great to meet you, Milinda, and I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around,” Austin said as Alan called his name.

“Millie, please,” I requested, returning his kind smile.

“You got it, Millie.”

“You didn’t fangirl like that over me!” Alex whined, clasping his free hand over his heart. We sat down in lawn chairs already set up around the bonfire.

“I’ve met you before.” Alex gave me a very confused look, trying hard to remember what I was talking about. “At a signing. We only talked for about two minutes, so I wouldn’t expect you to remember.”

“I can’t believe I’d forget someone so beautiful, though,” he sighed.

“Oh, shush. Besides, I had my natural brown hair back then.”

We chatted mindlessly for a little while longer until I was interrupted by a pair of hands clamping over my eyes. “Hey, it’s your favorite cousin,” Casey laughed into my ear.

“Hey, nerd,” I laughed back. He removed his hands and I got up to stand in front of him. “Case, this is Alex. Alex, my little cousin, Casey,” I gestured to each of them.

“Quit calling me that! I’m not little,” Casey grumbled.
“Well you’re almost ten years younger than me, so I consider you little.”

“Whatever. I just wanted to let you know that me, Reen, Miri and Nia are all here.”

“Where’s Ahna?”

“Watching Pierce The Veil.”

“Okay well have fun. No hard liquor, I mean it Casey! Nothing more than wine or beer.”

“Killjoy,” Alex laughed as Casey walked away.

“No, I’d be a killjoy if I brought up the fact that he just wrapped his arms around Rena,” I muttered, glaring at them.

We chatted and drank the rest of the night until about an hour before bus call. Neither of us were very drunk, just a bit tipsy. The kids were already back on the bus and Ahna and Mike were watching Harry Potter in the back lounge.

“Thanks for a great night, Alex. I had a lot of fun,” I smiled as we got back to CB’s bus.

“Of course. Anytime you need a good dose of crazy, just give me a call,” he laughed. I leaned up and gave him a fast peck on the lips before turning to go into the bus.

“Goodnight, goofball,” I giggled. He smiled and waved as he turned to leave. I loved Alex a lot, but it was pretty obvious to me that all we were going to be was friends.

Notes

sorry this is just kind of fluffy/filler type stuff, I'm just sorta struggling to get this going. I've been writing new chapters for a sequel to my other story which I'm not posting quite yet, so i just haven't really been inspired for this one. PLZZZZ don't give up on me though, i DO have a really good plan for this ;)

QOTD: What was up with Vic on the CB bus?
