how to get tony perry

Ever since Mike saw Tony dressed up as a clown during their prom instead of dancing on the floor to a slow song with some girl, Mike decided that Tony was a very interesting guy. Mike wasn’t straight – he wasn’t homosexual either. He did prefer girls over boys but it wouldn’t hurt to try it with a guy, right?

Graduation was just a few days and Mike decided that he wanted to spend those days with Tony by asking him out.

But Tony always turned him down.

1.Pretending to just know him

It wasn’t that hard pretending that he just noticed Tony because he literally just did. They were at school and Mike observed that Tony was one of the people who were in charge of decorating stuff for the graduation that was going to be held on the school’s hall.

Tony was on his locker so Mike decided to approach him. “Hey,” Mike called out. Tony closed his locker and was surprised to find Mike standing beside of him.

“Oh, well, hey.”

“You’re Tony, right? The clown from the prom?”

Tony froze for a while. He was hoping that Mike was there to befriend him but instead, he was there to make fun of him. Sure, Tony had no date for the prom – it wasn’t his fault that the school only accepts girl-boy couple. People had noticed him because of the clown costume and they approached him just to tease him about it. Tony took a while to answer.

“Yeah,” Tony uneasily said, gripping his bag strip. “Look, I gotta go.”

“Hey, hey, wait up!” Mike called as soon as Tony turned his heels. Mike walked, trying to stop him but Tony just walked faster.

Mike wanted to stop him and try to talk to him to the point Mike chased him out of the school but unfortunately, Tony got into the car and drove off, leaving a sad looking Mike standing all alone.
Well that didn’t turn out right.

2.Invite him to the nearest coffee shop

The next day at school, Mike decided to go to the hall a few minutes before the school was over to talk to Tony for a second. Mike wasn’t the type to give up easily and he really wanted to talk to Tony.

What was the reason Tony suddenly walked away, as if he was avoiding Mike? What was the reason he suddenly conscious when he saw Mike walking inside the hall.

Tony was on a ladder, hanging the school banner. Mike just stood quite far from the guys that were working on the design, but he could see Tony grinning while talking to his friends and Mike had to admit that Tony looked far more attractive when he smiles.

Mike and Tony were in the same Algebra class but they never actually talk to each other. Tony was one of the shy guys in class – a loner, he might add, but Tony did have a few friends during recess.

As soon as Tony was sure that the banner wouldn’t fall, he let go of the banner and bravely jumped from the top of the ladder, landing perfectly on his feet and his friends were letting out gasps and laughed because Tony just did the most amazing thing ever.

Mike was surprised too, because all of a sudden, he was on the metal ladder and a few seconds later, he jumped off and landed safely. Mike’s eyes widened but soon he realized Tony didn’t break any bones because he was laughing along with his friends.

Mike let out a sigh of relief, smiled and approached Tony.

Tony was talking to Justin, with his back facing Mike. However, Tony stopped talking when he realized Justin’s face had changed and he was signaling Tony that there was someone behind him. Tony turned around and was shocked to see Mike smiling at him.

“Hey, Tone,” Mike greeted. They weren’t even friends but Mike had the sudden urge to call him by his own nickname that he had made up.

Realizing that he wasn’t needed in the situation, Justin left the both of them. Tony’s eyes were anywhere but Mike. He was too nervous to look at Mike, he didn’t know why. Mike seemed to intimidate him.

“Um, hey.”

“So do you have any plans today?”

Tony was bewildered. Why was Mike suddenly treating him as if they’ve been friends for years? Tony didn’t have any plans during that day but he thought that lying was easier than telling him the truth so…

“Yeah, why? I’m kinda busy.”

“Oh, I was just asking whether you want to –”

“Tony! We need you here, right now!!” and Tony was called even before Mike could ask him out. But the shitty thing was that Tony didn’t even bother to ask him to wait and just went straight to Justin.

3.Movies will always work

If you think that Mike Fuentes doesn’t even have a pride, you’re wrong. He does have a pride but he just wanted to hang out with Tony just for a while, to get to know him better. So Mike booked two tickets for the movie Catching Fire, in hope that Tony would give him a chance and watch movies with him.

So Mike approached Tony at the lockers again and this time, Tony saw him coming and was on his way avoiding Mike but Mike stopped him by grabbing his wrist, oblivious to the fact that Tony was trying to run away from him.

“Hey, Tony, look what I got?” Mike eagerly asked as he took out two tickets. “Tada!”

By then, Tony’s eyes were wide as saucers. Mike was holding two tickets (although Tony couldn’t see what movie he booked) and he was pretty sure that Mike had gone too far because movie tickets usually cost more when it’s on Saturday.

“Um, what is that?” Tony knew exactly those were tickets but he couldn’t help to ask because he didn’t know what to ask any more.

“Tickets, silly,” Mike grinned. “So I was wondering if you want to watch this cool new movie with me. I was alone and my friends weren’t available so I figured that maybe you could accompany me and we could be friends.”

Tony blinked, puzzled with the sudden invitation. Tony gave Mike a nervous grin, hold his bag strips tightly as he broke free from Mike’s grasp. “I’d love to, Mike, but I’ve got plans today. Sorry.”

“Oh, really?” Mike didn’t expect that coming but disappointment can be heard from his voice. “That’s okay. What are you going to do later?”

“I, well, I’ve got a part time job and –”

“Oh, then can I hang out there? Where are you working at? Maybe I could pick you up and we could hang.”

“Nah, nah, it’s okay. I’d rather you not do all of this.”

“What do y—”

“Well, I have to go. Bye.”

Mike didn’t go to the cinema. Instead, he had given the tickets to his brother to watch with a friend. Mike wasn’t sure whether he regretted giving away the ticket because as soon as he got home, Vic rambled on how awesome the movie was. But what made Mike annoyed the most was the fact that Vic saw Tony on the cinema with the ‘design’ crew.

4.Add him on social media

One of Mike’s hobbies was stalking people and after days chasing after Tony, he finally found his twitter, facebook and Instagram. Mike wondered how he never found Tony online then he knew why. It was because of his username which was, “turtle252” like who the hell put turtle as their username?

Mike waited for Tony to accept in on facebook and when he did, Mike immediately messaged him. Tony was online but he didn’t reply.

What Mike didn’t know was that Tony had read his message and felt guilty for lying to him.

5.Give up and hope he would ask him out next time

Mike figured that Tony really didn’t want anything to do with him. Graduation day was the next day and Mike had done trying. Tony must’ve hated him so much to the point Tony didn’t actually reply his tweets and messages.

Mike realized that he was just making a fool out of himself and then, instead of waiting for Tony or anything, he went straight home.

There was nothing to do at home, except for refreshing the site all over again, hoping that Tony would eventually reply to him.

Vic had asked Mike to accompany him shopping for new shirts for the graduation day. Since he had nothing better to do, he decided to accept the offer. Vic always liked to waste money on shirts and he liked to waste them on somewhere normal people don’t usually shop at.

The brothers ended up at the stores at the end of the mall, where people don’t usually hang out because the place was dark as fuck and also because the workers there had a lot of tattoos and piercings and bright hair colours.

Vic took a long time picking out his clothes, and unfortunately for him, Mike wasn’t a big fan of waiting so he decided to wander around and ended up at a small bakery.

The smell of the freshly baked bread was so tempting that Mike went inside of it although he knew he probably didn’t have enough money. He entered anyway. The shop was quite peaceful, with slow songs playing on the stereo and Mike loved it.

But what Mike love the most was the fact that he was the only one at the shop. He could order a latte and just sit on the table while admiring the shop and pretending that he was in England or somewhere.

Mike stood at the counter, waiting for someone to take his orders while reading the menu. Mike already had something affordable in mind when a worker came out of what he assumed was a kitchen and greeted him.

“Afternoon, would you like – Mike?”

Surprised because he heard his name was called, Mike looked up from the menu to find Tony in an apron.

Silence.

The two didn’t speak for a few moments. And then for once in Tony’s life, Tony decided to break the silent, “Uh, may I take your order?”

“Wow, you actually work here?”

Tony blinked. “Um, yeah.”

“Alright, cool. Can I have a latte?”

Tony then proceeded to turned around, took a cup and filled the cup with latte while Mike just stared at him, debating whether to ask him or not. Mike’s mouth was itching to ask whether he had gotten his messages on facebook but then he thought, better not.

As soon as he was finished with the latte, he gave it to Mike and in exchange, Mike paid for it.

“Don’t you want anything else?”

“Nah, I’m cool. I don’t bring a lot of money actually.”

“Oh.”

Then, they both went separate ways. Mike decided to stay in the shop for a while, sitting on one of the tables while sipping on his latte and Tony went back to the kitchen. Mike was deep in thoughts, making up reasons to convince himself that Tony was just busy that he didn’t checked his messages and tweets.

But Tony interrupted his train of thoughts when he came back with a croissant and served Mike the croissant as he sat in front of Mike.

Tony felt guilty for ignoring his messages on purpose so he decided that maybe by giving him a croissant, Mike wouldn’t be so mad at him although he wasn’t sure whether Mike was really mad or not.

Mike looked up to Tony, who was sitting in front of him, staring down at his shoes. Puzzled, Mike let out an, “Uh…?”

“Well, I’m sorry for not replying your messages.”

“That’s okay, really,” Mike beamed, although he was actually pretty sad about it. But why should he be sad about it now when Tony was finally sitting in front of him, talking to him?

“I hope you’ll enjoy the croissant.”

“Um, can I ask you something?”

Tony’s heart stopped beating for a while. If there was anything he hated the most, it was that question. Tony hesitated before answering, “Sure.”

“Do you hate me?”

Mike was scared of knowing he answer but at the same time, he really wanted to know. Maybe that was the reason he had been avoiding Mike. If it was, at least Mike would actually stop hoping a lot from Tony.

Tony pursed his lips. Then slowly, he answered, “No.”

“Then why?”

Tony took a deep breath before answering, “I don’t know. I’m just scared.”

Mike gave him a small smile before saying, “I just want to be friends with you. Okay, not exactly friends but you know what I mean – I think I like you. I want to go out with you. Yeah, I might sound creepy if I said you actually caught my attention after dressing as a clown but, well, I don’t know what to say anymore.”

Tony raised an eyebrow and prevented himself from grinning, “You wanted to go out with me?”

“Yep.”

Now Mike knew how to get Tony Perry. He just had to wait and hope that Tony would like him back. On the other hand, Tony actually felt content that he finally had a boyfriend.

Mike was curious about one thing though. He didn’t want to ask but he was so curious that it eventually slipped out of his mouth, “My brother said he saw you at the cinema. What were you doing there by the way? Weren’t you supposed to be working or something??”

Tony really didn’t want to answer that.
