I'm Crying Underwater (Sequel to I Can't See That You Truly Love Me)

Licking Your Fingers

Isabella's Point of View:
"I can't eat anymore!" I exclaimed and groaned. The man, who told me his name was Tanner, softly laughed. He stood up.
"Don't eat, follow me." I slowly got up and followed him out of the room. The door quickly shut behind me and I jumped.

"Do not be scared of door, my dear." He shook his head and I sighed. We walked down the same white corridor, but instead of him walking me to the room in which I woke, we continued walking. The walls were slowly degrading to grey.

"Where are we going?" I asked. He didn't stop.
"You'll see."
I was beginning to panic and tried to keep calm. It didn't work and I felt my chest tighten. We continued walking.

The corridor gradually became smaller and smaller, and the walls were turning darker until they finally were black. A foul stench lingered in the now, heavy air. The colour of the walls made the light disappear, and allowed darkness to take over.

The heavy air made me cough, and it felt like I was spluttering out my lungs. I heard a faint cry and stopped. I tensed up and Tarren laughed lightly.
"What was that?" I squeaked, and Tarren stopped. Ge turned to face me.
"What was what, my dear?" He asked and looked at me reassuringly. I shook my head and sighed.
"Nevermind, just my imagination." He nodded and turned back around.

We continued walking and I heard the cry again. I chose to ignore it and watched Tarren slowly stop. We stood infront of a large, metal door. Tarren pushed it open, and it creaked loudly. Stale air suddenly hit my face and I chocked. Tarren cleared his throat and glided into the darkness. I wipe away a stray tear and breathed out.

"Aren't you coming?" I heard Tarren say. I felt uneasy and hesitated before strpping into the room. My eyes stung at the staleness in the air and I closed my eyes. I suddenly felt scared and shot my eyes open. I saw a small spark, and then a fire. I squinted at the sight and saw Tarren holding a match. He looked at me blankly.

"What are you doing?" I asked, feeling myself begin to hyperventilate. He slowly shook his head, his eyes never leaving mine.
"My dear, you should have never of trusted me." The fire quickly went out and a menacing laugh filled the air. I quickly stepped back and felt somebody grab me. I screamed out and tried to break free. They tightened their grip on me and laughed softly.

"Let me go!" I screamed, tears forming in my eyes as I struggled to breathe. They leaned in closer and I felt their breath in my ear.
"Welcome to paradise." They whispered and I blacked out.

Vic's Point of View:
I paced down a large corridor, feeling my frustation screaming to come out. I growled and kicked an open locker shut.
"This is the most twisted thing I have ever heard of!" I screamed and kicked the locker again. A small indent suddenly formed on the door and I groaned.

I continued trying each classroom, and walking into the ones that weren't locked. I quickly remembered about the key that Jaime had given me and dug my hand into my pocket. I ripped out the key and smiled. I frowned, realising I shouldn't get my hopes up. I tried the key on every door i found and became annoyed everytime it didn't fit.

"What the hell are you for!?" I screamed down at the key. I rolled my eyes when it didn't respond, and a small laugh escaped my mouth.
"I really am going crazy." I shook my head and started to jog. I looked at my watch and quickened my pace. We only had 20 minutes left, and nobody had found anything. I ran past more rooms and my eyes caught a glimpse of something. I stopped suddenly, and almost stumbled over. I regained my balance and walked back to what I saw.

It was a small box placed on top of a table inside a classroom. My eyes widened and I reached for the door handle. I pulled it down and groaned when I realised it was locked. I looked into the classroom and saw a small letter placed against the box.
"Of course, of course! It's in a locked classroom, of course it is!" I blabbered out loud and tried the door again.

I sighed and let my hand linger on the door handle. I quickly tightened my grip and pulled down my sleeve of my left arm. I pulled back and slammed my elbow against the glass in the door. A large crack quickly formed and I drew back again. I hit it one more time and the glass shattered to the floor. It hit the ground loudly and I winced.

"Dammit." I spat and removed the remainder of the glass.

I quickly placed my hand inside and unlocked the door from inside the classroom. I flung the door open and darted inside. I grabbed the small box and the envelope and ran. I quickly turned round a corner and stopped. I breathed heavily as I watched a teacher and a security guard rush over to the classroom. I held my breath and darted down the hallway.

I saw Ashton before it was too late and slammed into him. He groaned loudly as the air escaped his lungs and we fell to the ground, hard. I gasped and quickly scrambled off him.
"Vic, are you crazy? What the fu-" I pulled him up and started to run again.
"We have to leave, now." I cried back and he ran after me.
"Where is everybody else?" I asked, trying to run and keep my breath calm.
"Everybody is outside, I was just going to find you." He breathed and we bolted through the school's entry doors. Everybody was already outside and Mike and Paris shot up at the sight of us.

I quickly ran to the car and started the engine.
"What are you doing?" Hayley asked, joining me in the car.
"We have to go, quickly." I cried and everybody rushed into the car. I sped off out of the carpark and onto the road. I sighed, and relaxed when the school left my sight. Paris laughed.
"What did you do?" She asked.
"I may have.. broken a classroom door." I mumbled and Jaime burst into fits of laughter. I groaned and shot him a look in the review mirror.
"Give me the envelope you doofus." He laughed and I handed him the letter. He opened it and everybody went quiet.
He suddenly groaned.
"What's wrong?" Mike asked.
"We're in some deep trouble." He muttered.
