Only The Good Die Young

Chaper Twenty-two

When they woke up from their nap they found something to eat before continuing out to the madway. Where they spent the rest of their evening doing coupley things like ride the ferris wheel and play more game (the best waste of money ever, in Tony's opinion). And their night is finished out by falling asleep together in the tent. Tony couldn't ask for a better day, even knowing he had to go home the next.

"Tony," Mike says, softly shaking him. Tony rolls over to face him, looking at him with a frown. "C'mon. We're gonna go get breakfast, then I'll take you home." Tony groans, but still gets up and dresses. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, not something that Tony particularly liked in the first place, and it's not like he was going to enjoy anyways. He eats slowly, though, he really didn't want to leave right now.

Mike leans across the table and pecks Tony on the cheek. "C'mon babe, we should get you home." Tony groans, but follows Mike out of the pavilion. They walk back to the camping area and grab Tony's stuff, taking extra time to carry it out to Mike's car, even though there wasn't really that much of it. Tony sighs and climbs into the passanger's seat.

"I don't wanna go Mike," he whines, crossing his arms across his chest and pouting.

"But you have to, family oblogations," Mike leans over and kisses Tony on the lips. Tony moves his hands to hold Mike's face while he deepened the kiss. Suddenly Mike pulls away, earning a whimper from Tony. "Seriously, though, let's get you home." Mike starts to car and before Tony even realizes it the fairgrounds is well out of sight. The car ride passes in silence, and it ends with a light peck on the lips between the boyfriends and a mumbling of bye.

Tony slowaly walks up the step and into his house. His aunt wasn't in sight. So far, so good. He goes to his small bedroom and discards his stuff before popping back into the living room again,t his time his aunt was there. A wide grin on her face.

"Tony!" She says cheerily, walking up to give him a hug. "Have you grown? I'm so sorry I was gone all summer! I really wish I could have spent more time with you." She releases him and steps back, examining him carefully. Her eyes suddenly widen. "Are those hickeys I see? Do you have a girlfriend Tony?"

"Boyfriend . . ." Tony corrects shyly.

His aunt stares at him with a shocked expression for a few moments before finally speaking. "Well, who is it?" She demands, not sounding angry, but she was upset.

"Uh, Mike . . ."

"Mike who?"

"Fuentes," Tony says quietly. "I think you might have worked with his mom once."

He can see the anger in his aunt's feature now. "I know who the boy is. He was durnk the first time I met him." Tony cringes away as his aunt goes off on him. "Tony Perry! I thought you were raised better than to hang out with bad kids? I don't give a crap about the fact you're dating a boy. But Mike Fuente? Really? I bet that's why you have that metal monstrosity it you face!" She motions to his dermal piercing. "I would have been okay if it was his brother Vic, even, but Mike? You aren't allowed to see him anymore? Do you understand?"

Tony looks at his feet and mumbles. "But-"

"No 'but's about it!"

"O-Okay." Tony can feel tears welling in his eyes, so he quickly rushes back to his room, collapsing onto his bed and sobbing into a pillow loudly.
