I silently cursed as my younger brother took Thea outside to smoke. I turned to Jaime.
“You didn’t tell me your baby cousin was pretty,” I said, pretending to be angry.
Jaime smiled. “That might also be because I’m not supposed to think about her in that way.”
“If she’s pretty she’s pretty.” I shrugged. “You know, Mike is a family member of mine, but that doesn’t make him any less pretty.”
Jaime nodded. “You are right,” he replied. “Mike definitely is pretty.”
Tony was just looking at us like we were completely insane. I smiled at him and winked.
“Don’t worry Tone,” I whispered to him in a seductive voice. “I think you are pretty too.”
Tony acted like he had to puke and then we remained silent. I thought about Thea. I wasn’t kidding when I said she was pretty. She also seemed like a really nice girl to hang out with, though I already assumed she would be as soon as Jaime told us she’d be coming along with us. I mean, she was Jaime’s cousin after all.
My thoughts were disrupted when Mike and Thea came back into the van. Thea sat next to me and quickly looked from Mike to me. “Bad luck,” she said to Mike, smiling. Mike chuckled. I was glad to see that Mike and Thea were already getting along. She had to live in our tour bus after all.
“So,” Thea said, breaking the silence. “Mike told me you two are brothers.”
I sighed dramatically. “That’s right, and it’s horrible,” I told her.
“I heard that!” Mike shouted. It remained silent for two seconds. “And I agree!” Mike added.
I smiled. Mike wasn’t horrible at all. He was the best brother I could wish for.

“Hey!” Tony shouted from the back of the van. “Why are we standing still?”
I looked outside and I saw that we were indeed standing still. We had been driving for about an hour now and I had spent a lot of that time talking to Thea. She was a really nice girl and it was fun to talk with her. I was glad. The last time we had a girl in the van with us she turned out to be a complete bitch and it was horrible, because she was staying with us all the time. I somehow knew Thea would not turn out to be that way, even though I only knew her for about an hour. She had this something that made her look like she was sweet and innocent inside. Yet, at the same time she seemed tough on the outside. I liked it.
“Vic,” Mike said, waving his hands in front of my eyes. “Are you even listening?”
I blinked a few times while I came back into reality. “Sorry, what’d you say?”
“I just told you that we’re stuck in traffic,” he replied. “Jaime just called someone of the venue or something to say we might be late for our sound check. We were supposed to go first but now Sleeping with Sirens and All Time Low will go before us.”
“As long as we make it to the concert in time, the traffic isn’t that bad is it?” I asked, nervously playing with my bracelets.
“Vic seriously, don’t worry about it,” Mike said, giving me a worried look. “We should be there in time for our own sound check. It’s fine.”
I nodded, not entirely convinced. We should’ve left earlier, I hated stress. It was too late for that now though.

We reached the venue in another few hours. I had relaxed a bit more throughout the ride, as traffic soon started to move faster and I realized that we would get there in time easily. All we could talk about during the ride was the upcoming tour. No matter how many tours we had done, we were still as excited as ever. The guys from All Time Low and Sleeping with Sirens would be joining us on our tour and I was very excited about that as well. What could possibly be better than touring around America with your best friends, doing what you love most? I was definitely living my dream.
When we finally reached the venue I exited the van happily. We were earlier than we had expected to be, so I had been stressing for nothing. I walked towards the venue so quickly that the others were walking behind me, having a hard time keeping up with my fast pace. I couldn’t help myself, I was just so excited.
We soon got into our dressing room, which had ‘Pierce the Veil’ written on a paper on it. I could hear from the dressing room that Sleeping with Sirens were still having their sound check, so after we had put our things away we went straight to the dressing room of All Time Low.
I run straight through the door without knocking. “Guys!” I shouted as soon as I saw my friends.
“Ah, the Pierce the Veil guys decide to show up too,” Alex chuckled.
“Late for the first show,” Jack added. “You guys aren’t getting star struck are you?”
Jaime sighed dramatically. “At least we showed up at all. You know, we can’t keep wasting our precious time on useless sound checks and such small shows all the time.”
I rolled my eyes. “You guys are stupid,” I muttered.
“We love y-,” Jack stopped halfway his sentence when he noticed Thea standing behind us. “Who’s that beauty right there?”
Thea blushed lightly and before she could say anything Mike wrapped his arms around her. “My girlfriend,” he smiled proudly.
“Damn it,” Jack mumbled.
Thea pulled away from Mike and smiled. “I’m not his girlfriend,” she said. She walked to the All Time Low guys and she gave each of them a handshake. “I’m Thea, nice to meet you.”
I saw Jack checking her out and I couldn’t help but wonder if anything was going to happen between these two. This might become an interesting tour.
