Drella Now

I was in New York tonight. I love this city but whenever I'm here I can't help think that this is the place I almost destroyed myself. I nearly married someone who was killing me inside. If I hadn't gone to see Vic here I'd be married now. I might be living in a expensive house with a high flyer. I might even be happy. But probably not. Was I happy now? Extremely.
Now I was standing on a stage. People were setting up and the backdrop was going up behind Mike's drum kit. I tilted my head to the side to spot any scratches or holes in the back drop. When I couldn't find any I nodded in approval. Then I felt arms wrap around my waist. They tightened around me and I leant back against his chest. I tilted my head back and felt him press his lips to my neck.
"Ella?" Vic asked.
"Hmm,"
"You okay?"
"Yeah," I nodded against his chest.
"Sure?"
I rolled my eyes and turned around in his arms. "Just because we're in New York doesn't mean you have to go all macho protective on me, Fuentes," I teased.
"I don't want you to get all sad,"
"Look at this face," I said and grinned at him. "Do I look sad?"
"You look like you're faking,"
"I'm not,"
"I don't want you climbing any trees,"
"My feet are grounded," I promised.
"Does it make you think of him?" Vic asked quietly in my ear.
"No," I shook my head. "Does it make you?"
"Kind of," Vic shrugged. "I need to talk to you," Vic took my hand and led me over to the edge of the stage. We sat down and I nudged him.
"If you're breaking up with me you are so dead," I teased.
"I'm not," he said.
"What's up?"
"I love you,"
"I love you too," I laughed.
"I brought you something,"
"Can I guess?"
"Sure," he nodded.
"Flowers?"
"You hate flowers,"
"I do," I agreed. "Chocolates?"
"No,"
"A puppy?" I tried.
"Fuck no. You know we're not allowed them in our apartment,"
"We could hide it,"
"But I haven't brought you a puppy so it doesn't matter,"
"Paints?" my eyes brightened.
"Stop guessing, Ella," he shook his head in amusement. Vic pushed his hand in his pocket and pulled out a small leather padded box. I stared at him and raised an eyebrow.
"If you're proposing I swear to God, Victor . . ."
"I'm not," he laughed. "Here," he said and handed it to me. I opened the box and saw a silver ring with a cluster of purple stones in the centre.
"What's this?" I smiled. Vic took the box and took the ring out. He took my right hand and slid the ring on my wedding finger. "Wrong hand," I teased.
"It's a promise ring. So you know that I'm yours and one day you're going to be mine, legally I mean,"
"I love it," I told him. I leant towards him and pressed my lips to his. I rested my head on his shoulder and Vic wrapped his arm around me. "Vic?"
"Yeah?" he asked easily.
"I'm already yours,"
"I know, babe," Vic grinned and pressed a kiss to my forehead.

Notes

Hey guys! I'm not like crying or anything. Ahh please tell me you like the ending? The rumours are true, I won't be writing a sequel. This is the Drella stories over now. I could carry it on and carry it on but I would slaughter the whole meaning and story line. I feel like this is a good place to end. Drella and Vic are both happy and one hundred percent in love. I gave you Drellic!

The support I've gotten when writing this and the feedback I've gotten has been absolutely amazing! I can't believe it. This story has been the one that's really made my writing grow and it has given he a huge confidence boost where my writing is concerned. I thought it was shit before. So thank you everyone!
