School came and it was the first day of Junior year. I was nervous and wish I had Vic to comfort me, but I knew that now he was all the way in San Diego. I brushed my now white blonde hair. I put some black eyeliner on and wore my Pierce the Veil tee, skinny jeans and chucks. Erin had graduated from Franklin High and was leaving for Julliard all the way in New York in a few weeks. I felt disconnected since Vic was gone and Erin was going to be miles away from me. I looked at my alarm clock.
7:00 am
Oh no! School started at 7:10! I rushed downstairs and grabbed a pop tart and my bag. I ran to school since I had missed the bus. I was five minutes late when I got there and Mr. Warner, my homeroom teacher was pretty pissed.
Mr. Warner was the world's biggest jerk of all teachers. He'd say snarky things if someone was failing a class, if someone got caught texting. Even if someone was just five minutes late to class or homeroom. How he managed to keep his job was a miracle!
"Amanda, you're late. I don't care what you were doing, if you were smoking pot in the bathroom or you were making out in the halls, but you're late and you're getting detention after school for two hours,"
"I wasn't doing any of that, I just ran from home," I protested.
"Awww...what a pity tale, now get to your first period because you're disrupting mine,"
I just walked quickly with tears in my eyes and slammed the door shut. I didn't even give a fuck if Mr. Warner harassed me for that too...
My first period class was Anatomy and I was glad since I heard the teacher Ms. Adams was pretty cool.
After a somewhat awkward introduction to reproduction, Ms. Adams let us have some free time. She was the only teacher to ever give us free time and let us text. I pulled out my phone and saw three messages from Vic and one message from Erin.
Vic: Hey baby girl <3333 whats up? Nm just missing you. The guys are bugging me a bit but I guess it's ok....
Vic: Also I have an idea for us 2 see each other. My uncle works for Palm tree airlines and gave me a ticket 2 see my ex girlfriend Holly in Ireland, however we broke up 3 years ago. Do u want it, I could change the name and ticket for you 2 visit me and the guys in SD. Text me back please. :)
Vic: Baby, are you there?
I texted him back right away. My text was this:
Me: Hey there cutie :3 Thx u mean a lot 2 me and I will accept the offer. When does the tix get sent to me?
"Hey I know who you are," came a neutral sounding voice behind me.
"It's none of your buisness, really,"
"You didn't let me finish, I know you're Vic Fuentes' new girlfriend and I wanna say Congrats. I'm a huge Pierce the Veil fan too," the voice brightened up a bit.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I just like their music. I'm not one of those insecure bimbos that want to marry Vic,"
The girl saying this had mousy brown hair all the way down her back. She had dull blue eyes and was wearing a Sailor Moon tee and faded blue jeans.
"Oh good, I thought you were going to kill me," I said laughing.
"Oh no, I just moved here from Meridian, Mississippi and I'm Hayley Williams' cousin. So yeah I don't really know anyone here," said the girl laughing.
"Now you do, I'm Amanda," I said smiling.
"I'm Dina,"
There came a new friendship....
