Last Seen in San Francisco
Under the Chandeliers
"Why don't you just call him?" Emma asked, her head was cocked to the side and she was messing with her hair.
"That’d be weird. Plus, isn't it kind of late?" I responded. We both sat on my bed, I had my knees tucked under my chin and I kept staring at my phone.
Should I call him?
"Apparently he's a famous musician. I don't think 12:38 a.m. is that late in his eyes." She responded, a small grin appeared on her face as she blew a piece of hair upwards.
I let out a long, heavy sigh and groaned. I needed to make a decision. No, not now. I told myself. Maybe later? I sighed again.
"Maybe later today." I looked at Emma blankly and then proceeded to turn over in my bed. I heard Emma walk out of the room, time to sleep. I closed my eyes and let all of my thoughts exit my mind. Slowly, I fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of my phone, but I hadn't set an alarm. I turned to the bedside table and picked up the slim piece of technology. The screen displayed a phone number. It was familiar to me, but the number wasn't saved. Still I answered,
"Hello?" I spoke softly into the phone.
"Hey, Lyla." A male voice responded.
My eyes went wide as I quickly realized that it was Tony.
"Please hold." I spoke quickly, my voice monotone but filled with shock. I muted the phone so he couldn't hear what else would be said.
"EMMA!" I shouted. I could hear her feet moving fast along the carpet, she opened the door to my room. Her face displayed curiosity and confusion.
She came over to me, "What is it?" Her eyes told me that she was preparing for anything.
I taped on my phone screen, un-muting the device, "Hi, Tony." I said, being sure to add a hint of glee in my voice. I didn't want him to be worried. Quickly, I taped the screen again, putting the call on speaker,'
"Hi!" A loud Tony replied. Emma busted out laughing. I guess the giggling she had previously been doing didn't suffice anymore. I snatched one of the pillows off of my bed and hit her with it, playfully.
"Emma!" I tried to say sternly, but I couldn't contain the laughter that had been bubbling inside me. She knew I wasn't serious.
"What's going on?" Tony said, sounding somewhat perplexed.
"Nothing." I responded, taking the call off speaker and shooing Emma away with my freehand.
"Did you want to talk about something?" I asked him as Emma exited the room, shutting the door quietly behind her.
Emma and I were in the car, this time I was driving. Today was Saturday, yesterday Emma (being the sneaky human she is) gave Tony Perry my phone number and he invited us both to do something today. All he said was, "Dress casual, it's a surprise." when I asked about where he was taking us.
So here we were, on the way to some place Tony had messaged me the address of.
"What do you think will be there when we arrive?" Em asked. She was acting like a kid in a candy store, and we hadn't even arrived to the "candy store".
"I don't know, Em." We somehow reached a point where we shortened each others names. I called her Em, and she called my Ly. It was weird, I was being called something I did quite often.

Currently re-doing this chapter, as I hated the way the relations had been established.Still having a hard time deciding how I want things to happen with this one.
Sorry about the lack of updates. As I said, I hated the way things went in this chapter.
