Karen's Point of View

I signed the release papers and pulled on the sleeves of my hoodies, and the nurse turned around to grabbed something for me. I pulled at the bottom of my shorts, and pulled at the straps of my purse. My mom was standing next to me with her arms crossed against her chest. Mama Fuentes had left hours ago, I pulled my pig tails out from under my hoodie. "Here you go Mrs.Fuentes." the nurse handed me a paper. I looked at it and handed it back to her "I'm not going to therapy." "Karen le va a hacer lo que dice la enfermera!" she whisper-yelled at me. I rolled my eyes and pulled my sleeves over my hands again. "Are you sure Mrs.Fuentes?" I nodded "I'm sure I don't want to go." "Okay, your next appointment is in 2 weeks on Friday May 23 at 9:45." I nodded "Thank you." "No problem." I took the paper with my appointment reminder on it and walked out of the hospital my mom hot on my trail.

I got in the front seat and my mom got in the drivers seat. "I can't believe you would do something so selfish Karen!" I ignored her and stared out the window. She kept nagging me, I was pretty annoyed. "THE BABY WASN'T MIKE'S! VIC RAPED ME! I DID NOT WANT THE FUCKING BABY SO I TOOK CARE OF IT!" I screamed at her. My mom pulled over. "What?" my mom asked me turning to face me. "I can't talk to you about this right now mom." I unbuckled my seat belt and grabbed my bag before getting out of her car. I put in my headphones and took the shortcut you couldn't see from the street unless you drove to Mike and I's house everyday.

I got up to the house and saw that Mike's car wasn't there. I knew he wouldn't be here when I got back. I walked into the house and locked the door behind me. "Can I just not be happy!" I screamed. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. Where did Mike go with my baby... I got my phone out of my purse and called Mike's phone. "Hey it's Mike's phone. Probably on stage right now I'll get back to you at one point." I heard Mike's voice mail say. I sighed and hung up.

Mike's Point of View

"Well looks like you had fun hu buddy?" I asked Sam as I buckled him up in his car seat. He was babbling and flapping his hands up and down. "Did you like seeing the giraffes?" I asked him and he smiled "I thought you did." I kissed his hand and got into the drivers seat.

I pulled up to the house and got Sam out of the car. He was out cold, I walked into the house and headed upstairs to put Sam in his crib. I walked across the hall into the bedroom and saw Karen curled up in our bed. "Hey." she said to me emotionless. "Hey." I said back to her kicking off my shoes. "So where were you?" "Went to the zoo with Sam and the guys." she nodded "I told my mom about what happened with Vic." "Why?" "She made me mad." I sighed "It's okay baby." I sat down on the bed and pushed her hair out of her face. "Do you want a divorce or something?" Karen asked me. I sighed "Of course not babe. I was mad but I i'd never leave you K." I kissed her temple. Karen swallowed and sat up wiping her eyes and put her arms out. I smiled and pulled her into my arms, "So what was Sam's favorite zoo animal?" I smiled bigger "He liked the giraffes." "He probably thought he had more than one daddy." I chuckled and rubbed her arm. "I love you baby." "I love you too Mikey."
