Mike's Point of View

"Mr.Fuentes?" I looked up and saw a nurse pushing in a crib type box. "Is he okay?" I asked getting up to see Sam sleeping in the box thing. "He's gonna be fine, but he has asthma. It's common, don't worry he'll be fine, but he will need an inhaler for emergencies." I nodded "But beside that he's gonna be fine?" she nodded "You can hold him if you'd like." I nodded and picked her up carefully, "Support his head." I moved my hands and he smiled looking up at me. I smiled down at him cradling him in my arms.

"Hey Sam." I smiled down at him after the nurse left. I looked over at Karen to see she was knocked out. "Mommy's sleeping, but i'm here for you." he blinked and I stared down at him smiling. "I love you so much already baby. I'm sorry I missed your birth, your uncle Vic is a lair. Sadly daddy has to forgive him so he can help support you, but if I didn't have to I wouldn't." I cradled him, I sat down next to Karen's bed and held Sam against my body rubbing his back gently.

"Mike?" I looked up and saw Karen sitting up in her bed. "Hey baby." I smiled at her. "Is Sammy okay?" she asked putting her arms out for him. I nodded and handed her Sam. "Hi sweetie." she smiled down at him. "I'm your mommy." tears started forming in her eyes. I smiled and moved closer to the bed. "Sam's kinda perfect." I said to Karen taking her free hand in mine. Karen nodded "Mommy's gonna tattoo your name and birthday on her arm." she kissed his head gently. "Was he easy coming out?" Karen shook her head. "I had an anxiety attack, the doctors had to sedate me and he came out all stoned. He couldn't breathe right...." Karen was crying at that point "Baby, it's okay, Sam is fine, you're fine, everything's gonna be okay." Sam started squirming in Karen's arms. I took him from her and rocked him back and forth calming him down. He closed his eyes and I set him in the crib thing gently. "It's okay Sammy." I walked back over to Karen and climbed into bed with her. She wrapped her arms around my waist and I put my arm around her shoulder. "I love you Karen." "I love you too Mike." she kissed my collar bone and I smiled, I have my girl back.
