The Little Sister
Chapter 12
Tony's Point of View
"What the fuck Mike!" I yelled. Mike quickly got out of his bunk. "Tony relax." "Karen shut up!" I yelled back at her. Mike looked at me "Don't talk to her like that Tony." his eyes were dark and he looked mad. I knew I was angrier. "Ton-" "Karen i'm not going to tell you again." Karen shrunk into the corner. I knew she didn't like when people yelled at her but she's 26 and I'm pissed off our drummer was eating her mouth. I looked back at Mike who was staring at Karen with concern in his eyes. This made me even angrier. "Come on were gonna talk about this like adults." I heard Melinda's voice as she pulled on me and Mike's arms. I looked over my shoulder and saw Karen's face buried in Jaime's chest and he gently rubbed circles on her back.
"Okay so Mike and Karen are.." Melinda started. One of the things I didn't love about being engaged to lawyer was she's really good at arguing. "Were dating." Karen filled in wiping a little of her mascara off from under her eye. "What!" I stood up and looked down at Mike. He looked scared. "Yeah we have been for like 2 months Tony" Karen said again. I turned around to face her "Why didn't you tell me." I tried to relax a little "Because you would've reacted like this." "Like how?!" "Freaking out like you always do for no reason!" "Mike hurts girls Karen I don't want you to get hurt!" "Well Mike hasn't hurt me so I think we're all good you ass hole!" "He might not yet but he always hurts the girls he's dating and I don't want you to end up like them!" "Tony just because you cheated on Melinda doesn't mean everyone does!" Karen yelled back at me. The next thing I did I regretted instantly. I slapped Karen. Her hand went up to protect herself and she ran off of the bus. "Karen!? I'm sorry!" I yelled as she ran.
I fell to the floor and ran my hand threw my hair. I can't believe I just did that to my own little sister. "I'm gonna go find her." Mike stood up and walked off the bus heading in Karen's direction. I slapped my little sister. I slapped her. I rocked myself back and forth on the floor. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. "It's okay Tone. She knows you're sorry." Melinda whispered to me.
