Did you just put hot sauce on the pizza?!

Chapter One

It had been 6 years since James Shelling died, 6 years since I totalled my first car and 6 years since I had met my best friend. After the accident, Jaime and I had become quick friends, we had so much in common it wasn't funny. I had soon discovered that he was famous after that night and was kicking myself for being so oblivious to that fact for months after; he was even in a band that I knew! I had brushed up on all the bands after I found out so I could never be caught off guard again. Jaime Preciado, bassist for the one and only, Pierce The Veil, the band of the sexy Mexicans, or the sexicans as their fans had so aptly named them. Also in the band were Vic Fuentes and his brother Mike, who I found to be a little obnoxious at times, and Tony Perry, who was adorably shy when around new people but unbearably hyper around friends.

I sit on my couch watching the TV, they play reruns of classics like The Brady Bunch and Happy Days every Friday. Old TV shows seriously are my guilty pleasure, I can never get enough of them. As another episode of Happy Days ends, I get up from the lounge to grab some food from the kitchen, singing the theme under my breath as I go. "Thursday, Friday, Happy Days, Saturday, what a day, groovin all week with yoouu."

I grab a tub of peanut butter from the cupboard, chocolate topping from the fridge and a bowl and spoon before returning back to my marathon.
A knock at the door averts my attention from the TV half way through an episode of Mork and Mindy. "Just a minute," I call through a mouthful of peanut butter. Muting the TV I get up to see who is at the door, I am greeted with my favourite eyes in the whole world.

"Jaime!" I say enthusiastically, throwing myself into his arms and attacking him with a bear hug.

"Hey there, stranger," he replies laughing at my reaction. He had been away on tour with the band for the past bagillion months and I really missed my best friend, life simply was not the same without some Hime-Time during the day.

"I missed you," I say as I pull away from the hug and look up at his face.

"I missed you more," he says kissing my nose and causing me to giggle like a school girl. Jaime was just too adorable sometimes.

"Come on," I grab his hand and drag him into the lounge room, "You've disrupted my Mork and Mindy! You really should be ashamed of yourself" I joke.

Jaime looks down with a pout before looking up at me slowly with the most amazing puppy dog eyes anyone could ever imagine, "I'm sorry," he says, sniffing for effect, "Please forgive me?"
I scoff at him and hit his shoulder playfully, "Don't use those eyes on me, mister. You know I can't resist them."

"That's the point," he says laughing at me. He disappears into the kitchen for a moment before reappearing with a bowl of popcorn and snuggling down close to me.
We sit and watch the rest of the reruns in silence, other than the sound of Jaime chewing in his snack. When the day of reruns finally finished and the news came in TV, Jaime jumps up and holds out his hand to me, "Come on, get up. Let's go get some food."

Grabbing his hand he hauls me from my seat and makes me go flying halfway across the room, boy ISPs that man strong. I turn off the tv and grab my coat an bag, making sure I have everything before following him out the door and locking it behind me.

"So, where are we going?" I ask when he opens his car door for me in a very gentlemanly manner.

"Pizza," he replies. Yum.

After, ordering our food we sit at the back of the Pizzeria away from the kitchen at the front where all the noise was coming from so we could talk and catch up.

"How was tour?" I ask.

"Same as it always is," he replies, shrugging. "Although Tony managed to get himself a stalker, now that was really funny."

He tells me his story of how a teenage fan had started to follow Tony around wherever he went while they were on tour. I couldn't help but laugh, not at the fact that Tony had a stalker, but at how awkward he would have felt knowing someone was watching him, especially seeing he is one of the shyest people I know.

We talk for what seems like hours about what we had been doing for the past 3 months while Pierce The Veil had been touring, before we are disrupted by a waitress. "We'll be closing in 10 minutes," she says in a matter-of-fact way.

"I guess we better go then," I say with half a laugh, rising from my seat to leave. Jaime goes to pay at the register as I go outside. As soon as I step out the door I crash into someone and fall on my ass.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry," I hear from above me. I look up and see a young man holding his hand out to me, I take it in mine and haul myself off the ground. His blue eyes shining from the light in the pizzeria like two jewels. He kind of looked like someone you would find on the beach looking for a wave to catch, tanned with long, wavy, blond hair. Damn, was he hot.

"It's okay," I reply in a reassuring tone, "I wasn't looking where I was going, anyway!" He laughed and somehow we fell into small talk, before I even knew it I had myself a date.

Just as I was saying goodbye, Jaime walked out. "Sorry, I took so long, I got recognised by one of the staff. Oh hey, who's this?"

"Jaime this is Luke, Luke this Jaime." They said hi to each other before Luke left and Jaime and I go back to his car.

"Ohmygawd, Jaime! Did you see him?! I have a date with that man! A date!" my excitement is showing, I hadn't had a proper date in quite a long time and I was really looking forward to this one.

"Yea, I saw him," Jaime replies with a tinge of annoyance in his voice. I wonder what has him annoyed.
