*Ajla’s POV
After the nurse told us we could talk to Tony after he woke up a little bit and asked a few questions, time went slower than ever. It felt like we had been waiting for days before the blonde nurse told us we could talk to him, he was just a little bit “high”.
We smiled and stepped back into his room to see a sleepy Tony staring at the ceiling. We stood on either side of the bed and he smiled, but not at us. His eyes made his way to me and I felt my face grow hot. I was overfilled with joy that he had woken up.
“Hi, Tony.” I said quietly.
“Who’s this pretty lady?” He said, and I couldn’t tell if he was being sarcastic or not. I laughed a little bit, but I grew worried at this point.
“That’s your girlfriend, bro!” Vic exclaimed, aware of my worry.
“I-I have a girlfriend?” he said, an adorably confused look on his face.
“Yeah, and that’s her. What do you think?” He said
“I think she’s absolutely beautiful. Jesus fucking Christ, how did I get her?” he said.
I was blushing beyond belief and I covered my face in my hands.
“I’m Serious! How!?” He said again.
“Because you’re absolutely perfect, Tony.” I said, cupping my hands around my mouth before covering it again. A huge smile crossed his face and he stared at me.
“Jesus Christ.” he said, and then stared at the ceiling again. The nurse began giggling and I smiled at her before I noticed Vic holding up his phone, presumably recording the whole situation. I was kind of glad, honestly, because that was absolutely adorable! He had a cheeky grin on his face and I looked back at Tony, who had his hands in front of his face, flipping them back and forth.
“Why are my hands gross like this?” He said, a confused look on his face.
“You play guitar in a band.” Vic said, seeming upset now.
Had he lost his memory, or was this just part of his coma-return?
