One Hundred Sleepless Nights

“S-she…..k-k-killed…..” I shook my head frantically as tears slid down my face

Vic picked up my phone and glanced at the picture “Oh my God!” He gasped before looking up at me. “Sam are you alright Sam.”

“Fine!” I said blinking my tears away “I’m fine, just fine….perfectly fine. There’s nothing wrong with me at all.”

Tony took a step towards me “Sam, I think you should give me Michelle.”

“No!” I shouted gripping on to her tightly. “She’s not going anywhere away from me.”

I want Michelle by my side. I need to keep her safe. Especially with a crazy, psychotic, motherfucker running around and killing people. I guess it’s just my motherly instincts. Or maybe it’s just because I just saw a dead fucking body.

“Sam, just give her to him.” Vic said calmly almost as if he didn’t just see a picture of a mutilated woman “You’re fidgeting like crazy. You’re gonna drop her eventually.”

I looked down to see that I was shaking frantically. I didn’t even realize that I was doing it. I passed her to Tony. He cradled her into his embrace and sat down on the couch.

“Sam.” Vic said to me causing me to look into his big brown eyes “I think you should call your cousins.”

Vic handed me my phone. My fingers danced across the touch screen as I unlocked the phone. I scrolled to the J’s section and clicked on Jessica’s name. I took a big breath trying desperately to compose myself as the phone rung.

Jessica’s voice soon flowed through the phone “Hey Sam.”

“Jess!” I sobbed

“What’s wrong Sam?” She questioned with worry in her voice “Are you alright?”

“F-frenchie…..s-she……sent….picture…..killed….Rachel.” I could barely make out a sentace through my sobs

“She killed Rachel?” She asked “And sent you a picture?”

“Yes!” I choked out

“Be there in ten minutes.” She stated before hanging up







I was sitting in the front room going out of my fucking mind. I knew that Frenchi was crazy. I knew that she was a psycho bitch. But I would never thought that she would kill someone……..murder. I never thought that she would be capable of such a thing.

“The phone was traced.” My cousin Monica stated walking into the room

I stood up abruptly “And….”

“This Frenchi girl of yours is smart.” Monica sighed “It was a prepaid phone bought buy a Lauren McNeal.”

“Well can’t you talk to this Lauren girl?” Vic questioned as he twiddled with his fingers “I mean maybe she can lead you to Frenchi.”

Jessica raised her eyebrows “Well we were going to do that.”

“Well….” I said quite agitatedly “Why the fuck don’t you then?”

I didn’t mean to be snappy. It’s not like my cousins did anything. They’re just trying to help me. But well, I’m just well….scared. This is a serious matter. And the fact that they aren’t questioning this Lauren chick is getting on my last nerve.

“There’s a slight problem.” Jessica spoke

I rolled my eyes “And what is that?”

“Lauren McNeal………..is deceased.” Monica looked into my eyes

“So?” I spat quickly. I sat for a few seconds as my cousin’s statement sunk into my head. “Wait….what?” I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. That’s not freaking possible. She can’t be...”Dead?”

She shook her head “She died five years ago.”

The room went awkwardly quiet. Everyone was stunned. How in the hell did Frenchi manage to impersonate a dead person? How did she get all her information? How in the hell is she doing this?

But there is something that’s bothering me more. It bothers me more than Frenchi managing to get a dead persons information. It bothers me more than her murdering someone.
