Feels like forever

*Kellin's pov*

I was on my way home when my phone started to ring. "Hello?"

"Hi, Mr.Quinn. Are you aware that your daughter wasn't at school today?" What?

"um....no. I'm sure my daughter went to school. I watched her walk there."

"I'm sorry Mr.Quinn, but she wasn't at school at all today." Great, I swear she wants to be grounded forever.

"Okay, thank you. I'll talk about it with her." and with that I hung up. I continued driving until I started to feel hungry, so I made a quick stop at Moe's.

"Welcome to Moe's!" This is why I loved this place, they were all so friendly and my best friend works here.

"Kellin!" I knew that voice anywhere.

"Aye Vic. How ya doing?" I asked.

"Ya know, working, made some tacos for Copeland." as soon as he said it, his eyes went wide.

"What!?"

"Kellin, calm down man. I'll explain everything." He replied

"Then talk.

"Okay lets go sit." he led me over to a booth in the back.

"Copeland came here just before school started. I asked why she wasn't in school and her being the terrible liar she is, she told me she didn't want to go," He told me everything, about Cece, Zack, and how she felt about the whole situation.

"Are you kidding me!" I yelled. Everybody turned to look at us.

"Kellin stop."

"No Vic! You knew my daughter skipped school and you didn't tell me!" by now everyone knew what was going on.

"I was gonna tell you, just not today!" by now he was yelling. I was beyond furious.

"You know what Vic, forget it. I'm out of here!" I got up and went to the door with everyone's eyes on me. I got in my car and drove for another 15 minutes until I finally arrived home. I got out the car and walked up to the door. When I got the for unlocked I nearly kicked off my TOMS and put themin the shoe closet. I walked up the stairs to be met with Copelands door. "Copeland we need to talk." I said once I opened her door.

"I don't want to talk to you." se replied coldly.

"well I do! Care explaining why you skipped school?"

"I....uh....how do you know I skipped?"

"The school called and Vic told me."

"He what! I told him not to say anything!"

"why'd you do it?" I asked sitting down at the end of her bed.

"Because I wanted to." she huffed.

"Fine. Don tell me, but you're grounded."

"I was already grounded."

"Well then it's doubled." I was about to get up before she groaned in anger.

"Why do you care. Huh?"

"I care because you're my daughter and I care about your safety."

"But all you ever do is yell at me! And then do it all over again every single day."

"I only yelled at you at Warped Tou-"

"Dad! It's not even about Warped Tour anymore!"

"THEN WHAT IS IT!" she flinched at my sudden change in volume.

"Just forget it." she spoke, barely audible.

"No. You're my baby girl, just please tell me." she sighed and say up in her bed.

"I like Zack an-"

"Wait Oli's kid?"

"Yes dad, now shut up. When I was with him it just......I don't even know. He's just so sweet and caring and he's always been there for me. And the. You came and ruined the fun."

"Um, did you forget you snuck out. Not only that but Fo Warped Tour!"

"I know! I know! I get it. There happy? I totold you now get out."

"Wait, what."

"I said get out."

"You are 16 years old, you do not speak to me like that!"

"Okay, but please just get out, I need time to be by myself."

I sighed and got up from her bed, "Okay but dinner will be ready when your mom gets home." and with that I walked to her door and headed downstairs.
