Feels like forever

"Funny how every time you push me away, you turn around and you beg me to sta-" I picked up my phone while singing alone with Tyler's beautiful voice.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey Cope!"
It was Zack, my best friend. "What's up buddy?"
"I was wondering if you asked your dad about warped yet. My dad bought the tickets, you just need to ask." He laughed
"Oh my god! I completely forgot. I'm so sorry Zack I was so busy I forgot to ask. I'll go right now." I replied the only sound you heard after that was Zack laughing.
"Cope, how many times do I have to tell you, it's fine. Now go ask." After that he hung up. I walked down the stairs to find my mom sitting with my dad drinking wine. I made my way across the living room to sit on the comfy sofa. "Hey dad, I was wondering if I-"
"No."
"What do you mean no I didn't even ask you anything." I explained
"Honey just let her ask her question. Go ahead dear." My mom stated.
"Okay. Anyways I was wandering if I....could....um... Go to warped. Now before you yell at me I'll be with Zack and Oli. Plus Oli already bought the tickets.
"Copeland Marie Quinn. I have told you numerous times you're not going to warped ever. It's not safe for girls like you. The only thing the guys wanna do is get in your pants. So no. You're not going." He restated.
"Dad. Please I'm 16 you can't keep treating me like I'm five. when are you gonna realize that I'm not you're baby cope anymore. I need freedom and you're taking it from me. This is so unfair!" I pleaded. I was so mad, all he does is ruin my fun, sure I've been to warped tour before, but I was a baby and on a leash.
"Honey I agree with your father it's not safe and yes you are sixteen but something's aren't meant for girls your age." My mother added. OMG I can believe her. She's always told me to do what I want and this is what I want and now she's sticking up for dad.
"Ugh. Fine don't let me go but I'm NEVER coming out of my room!" I got up and stormed up stairs and into my room. I texted Cece to come over Because I needed my bestfriend with me. This is gonna be a long day.
