I was finally ready to go out with the guys to the party they were planning on going to. I couldn’t wait to bring in my New Year with them. They genuinely made me very happy, especially Mike.
In the taxi on the way over to the party, I put a photo of Mike and I on Instagram, comments soon flooding in almost instantly about how ‘perfect’ we were together, or that I was just some tramp. You know, the usual. I put my phone in my bag for the night and cuddled into Mike, whose arm was around me.

“You smell good.” I mumbled.

“Thank you kitten.” He laughed. Kitten was his new nickname for me, and I personally found it incredibly cute.

“So whose party is it we’re going to?”

“Austin Carlile’s.” Jaime answered from beside me and I nodded.

Soon we were at Austin’s front door; Vic had just rang the doorbell. A man with tattoos almost everywhere from what I could see, some stubble, a nose ring and short black hair answered the door. I guess this must be Austin. “Hey guys!” He greeted and hugged Vic, Jaime and Tony as they walked through the door. “You must introduce me to your beautiful lady friend, Mike.”

I blushed a little before introducing myself, “Hi, I’m Sara.”

He pulled me in for a hug and let me in his beautiful home, Mike following close behind me. His hands were sitting protectively on my waist, “Let’s get drunk little one.”

It was pretty close to the bells and Mike and I were in the middle of the living room area, people surrounding us. I was pretty tipsy and Mike was pretty high.

“I’m so glad I met you Sara.” Mike spoke in my ear, “You’re so, so perfect.”

I giggled a little, “Why thank you,” I said, doing my best to curtsey in my heels whilst being pretty intoxicated, “I’m glad I met you too handsome.”

Everyone started counting down the seconds, ten… nine… eight… seven… six… five… four… three… two… one.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!” Mike and I shouted in unison to each other then laughed. I pulled his head down to my level, our lips connecting perfectly for my first kiss of 2014. His tongue flicked over my bottom lip briefly before I allowed him in, our tongues fighting and his hands were on my waist, our bodies incredibly close. We pulled away for air and smiled at each other, Mike’s forehead resting on mine.

“Wow.” I breathed.

“Yeah…” Mike blushed before giving me a secure cuddle. I suddenly have never felt more ready to be with someone – Mike just made everything so perfect. His face was in my neck, giving me soft little kisses and I was looking out to the rest of the room, smiling my drunk little face off. “Kitten?”

“Yeah?” I said, moving my face round to face Mike and his forehead rested on mine once again.

“If you’re ready, would you like to be mine now? Officially?”

I bit back a smile and nodded, “I would love to.”

“Yes!” Mike shouted, the grin never leaving his face. “Let’s go out on our first official date soon?”

“Definitely Mikey.” I said, well aware that my face was heating up.

Mike kissed me for the second time. It was hard and full of happiness, and love.
