"Can I go out today?" I asked my mom.
"Ask your grandmother, you're suppose to be helping watch your sister and brother" she scoffed.

"They're not my kids" I scoffed back.
"They're your siblings whether you like it or not, they're your family forever"

"Sadly" I breathed out.
She gave me a death stare.

Truth is, I'm not very fond of my siblings, my mom wants us to get along... But we're 8 and 11 years apart.
It irritated me every time she brought up the "they're your family forever" bullshit.

I don't believe in family, at least not this one.

I didn't bother asking if I could hang out, I just got ready.

"¿Donde vas?" my grandmother asked.
(Translation: Where are you going?)

"Con Anissa y Jaime" I lied, I was really going to go meet up with Tony.

" No, no vas a ir"
(translation: No, you can't go)

"Si!" I exclaimed.
(Yes)

She shook her head, that was her sign of giving into my wants.
Im the spoiled one, so I get my ways with my grandparents, I don't ask for much though.
In fact I've never asked them anything.

Incoming call: Tony.

"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey, so are we up for today?" He asked.

"You're running late, I've already started my day" I laughed.
"We'll see about that"

"Where are you?" I asked.
"I am not allowed to In form you of my whereabouts, but I should add that I love your Bring me the horizon shirt" he chuckled.

"Oh so now you're following me?" I laughed.
"No, but I thought I'd admire you for a while"

He needs to stop, I don't know if he's being serious... Is this what guys normally do?
I mean I've dated before, but I wasn't a fucked up kid in the head.

Was this some kind of cruel joke?

"Ha, you're too kind...but seriously where are you?" I said, my voice being now more firm.
"Behind you" he spoke and hung up.

I swung myself around, to see him a few feet away from me.
I smiled in relief.

He looked very cute in his gray shirt, with black pants.
He sort of had the Skater look, which I always liked.

He hugged me tightly, and we began to walk into the mall.

It stayed quiet for a moment, until he started to poke me.

"Why are you poking me?" I giggled.
"Why not?" He stuck his tongue out.

"Cause I'm tickle-ish!" I exclaimed.
"Good!" He smiled.

We walked around the mall, he carried his skateboard around, and constantly fixed his long hair popping out the beanie.

"So tell me about yourself" I said.

" Well my name is Tony, I'm 15 I like skating..and music is the best. I want to join the army. And Uhhh I don't know, I'm not good when it comes to describing me, and you?"

"Uh, my name is Lissett, I'm 14.... Uh I as well like skating, I love photography, huge music junkie...and yah" I stuttered towards the end.

I know I was only 14, but at my age... I knew a lot of things a kid that age shouldn't know.

"How long have you lived in L.A?" He asked.
"We'll I was born here, and around 3 rd grade I moved to Valencia, up until 7th grade...then moved back"

"Why?" He asked once more.
"umm, it's-it's uhh-"

"Complicated?" He finished my sentence.
"Yeah, complicated." I mumbled.

Our day continued on as we walked in and out of stores, being total goofballs.
His eyes were compelling, his smile was contagious, and his laugh was adorable.

Lissett STOP! You're fucking this up for yourself! He's going to hurt you in the long run! Listen to me!

The little voices inside my head were talking, but I ignored them.
I deserve this tiny happiness I get when I'm around him...
