I pushed boxes into the tiny student apartment. "Finally made it." I sighed placing my boxes on the floor of one of the bedrooms. I started to walk around. Two beds in each room. "Ooh boy" I think to myself heading towards the kitchen. "Yes first one here!" I hear a very familiar voice call out from the front door. I walk over to the door, curious as to see who it is. I wonder if it's a freshman or something. Hopefully not a one of those snobby students. I make my way to the front. "Layla!!!" Vic rushed into my arms picking me up. I blushed then looked away smiling, he put me down "ooh boy this semester is gonna be good. We're roommates" he rustled his hair then smiled back. "Yeah haha so how've you been?" I looked back at him. "Yeah I've been okay? how was your summer?"
"it was okay i started a band with the guys, yours?" I shrugged "Oh that's really cool, i really didn't do much. I just worked with my uncle at the restaurant" He nervously rubbed his arm looking around. "Oh yeah and I broke up with Amy over the summer too." I started to smile but stopped myself. "Oh no, why?" he turned around starting to pick up his bags. "She kept cheating on me and lying" I picked up two o his bags and his guitar helping him to a room. He started to head into my room. My heart raced so hard. Yess! Sharing a room with Vic would be a dream come true. "Hey that's my room back off!!!" A certain blonde girl came running in jumping on the bed beside mine. "Hey Cara" Vic smiled dropping his things and picking her up. "Hey Vic honey! you thought you were gonna take my spot with my bestie" he put her down smiling nervously. "Oh no I'd never do that to you, I just figured we'd fill in when we get in" She frowned playfully shaking her head. "NOPE! you thought you were gonna sleep together. I think not!" we both blushed, probably thinking the same thing. "Hey is anyone here!" We peaked our heads out into the hallway. "Baby?" Cara came running out almost tackling Tony to the ground. "You took forever!!" he smiled trying to catch his feet. "no you just didn't pick up your phone so i got lost" Vic and I smiled at eachother then back at them. Vic cleared his throat loudly. "Baby?" Tony got up and came over to us. "Ohh Hey guys I didn't know you guys were here" i smirked "I had no idea you guys were a couple" Cara started moving her things into the room. "Oh yeah we got together over the summer haha Surprise!" Tony claimed the room directly across the hall. "Baby you don't wanna share a room with me?" She poked her head out pushing Vic's things out of our doorway. "nuhuh haha I miss my bestie" Vic picked up his things smiling and moving them into the room beside ours. Our eyes met and we both looked away blushing. Oh what could've been. Jaime and Mike came in soon after. Jaime chose to room with Vic and Mike with Tony. Jaime ran into our room jumping on my bed. "LAYLA!!!!" he rolled me around. i let out a playful scream. "Jaime stop" he stood on his knees. "Oh Layla, I love it when you say my name! louder baby louder" I pushed him over smiling. "Oh whatever" everyone settled in nicely. we gathered in the living room after 30minutes of unpacking. "So what do you guys want to do?" I pulled up a chair beside Cara on the sofa. "Hmmm well i think we should go out" Mike sat on the floor infront of Vic. "Nahh everyone's gonna be doing that, everywhere is going to be packed" Vic's leg started to tap. "Hmm, we could just stay in and buy a few bottles. have a mini house warming party right here" Jaime got up. "Sounds good to me, I'll go get the bottles"
Cara stood up stretching "Yeah sounds good, I don't feel like getting dressed up just to stand outside" Tony followed behind grabbing her waist and puling her close. "Yeah i kinda don't wanna go out either" Mike took out his phone going through his contacts. "I'll invite some people" I just sat there for a second then got up. "Hey Vic do you want to go to the store with me? we can get some chips or something" He got up quickly then smiled. "Yeah Let's go" we almost ran out the door together. "night one and we're already throwing a party" I giggled unlocking my jeep. We drove to the nearest grocery store with the radio blasting. Vic got out and opened my door, I smiled "You're such a gentleman" he bowed jokingly. We walked through the crowded store picking up snacks and other things for the apartment. Toilet paper, plastic cups, paper plates, pizza rolls, hot pockets, Doritos, Tortilla chips, Salsa, Soda, Blue moon beer, Angry Orchard hard cider. Vic went into the pharmacy isle and came out with a small bag. "What's that?" I pointed to the bag. He pretended not to hear me so i didn't press the matter. We paid and started loading things into the jeep. "So are you and Sky still together?" I shook my head quickly. "No we broke up over the summer too, He transferred to LAU" I think i made him smile but i was focused on something else. My phone went off, Cara texted.

Cara: Hey!!! Where are you guys??
Layla: We're on our way home? why?
Cara: People are starting to show up
Layla: Okay, we're on our way
Cara: No texting and driving, you can kill someone or yourself.

I giggled climbing into the car. Vic stared out the window on the way home. He grabbed most of the bags an held the door open for me. As soon as we walked in there was a crowd of people in the apartment. Music blaring loudly and shots being tossed back.Damn it Mike. We put things away and left out the chips. "Hey Vic" A few girls ran up to him. "We heard your song on youtube, you're like almost famous" he blushed admiring the attention. I kept walking until i got to my room. Cara was in Tony's room with a sock on the door. Do Not, Under Any Circumstances, Disturb. I sat on the bed then grabbed my laptop. I really don't feel like partying right now. I had a facebook message from Sky. As soon as i clicked on it ,Jaime busted in. Damn it. "LAYLA!!! whats up?? what are you doing?" I shrugged redirecting my attention to him. "You not drinking tonight?" I shook my head. "Nahh not tonight. I wanna get settled in" He stood up lazily. "Hmm i know someone who isnt drinking or hanging either" he rushed out the door. I grabbed my laptop again to look at the message.

I rolled my eyes at the message. what the fuck ever. you wouldn't have left if you thought I was important you dildo. My door slammed open again, Jaime dragged in a small cooler filled with soda. he then tossed a bag of tortilla chips at me with the salsa. "Jaime what the fuck" He didn't say anything, he just pushed Vic into the room then slammed my door again."Damn it Jaime, I said i wasn't.." he turned to see me staring at him puzzled "Oh hey" he laughed nervously. I smiled then patted the seat beside me. "wanna hang out?" he sat down then laughed again. "Yeah i do but i mean if you're busy then I 'll just go sit in the living room or something"
"no no, We can chill in here. I don't really feel like drinking tonight" he got up and got us both a soda. "Yeah me either. what are you up to?" I started to close facebook out but im pretty sure he seen the message. "Sky huh?" I shrugged then closed my laptop turning to face him. "Yeah, he just wanted to know how everyone was doing". We sat in my room for hours just talking and laughing. we exchanged bad relationships and awkward high school moments. While the party died down we stayed in the room giggling. After a while we fell asleep and i must say, I really like how tight he held me. This semester is gonna be great, i can just feel it.
