Vic's POV

I finished cleaning the second last table and sighed, It hadn't been busy today, some of the few daily customers came in, I heard the door swing open and then a bunch of giggles, I noticed one, Jenna.

"Hey babe" She said in a stupid baby tone.
"Hi" I said, still cleaning the table, I moved onto another table and I felt Jenna and her 'friends' move with me. "What exactly do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?" I said coldly.
"I wanted a skinny latte thanks very much." Jenna said, giggling, I pointed to the counter.
"Mel will take your order" I said to Jenna. "Hard day for Viccy" I heard Jenna's friend Chloe say. My head snapped towards her, I studied her, she was wearing a short skirt that you could almost see her ass, A belly top that revealed everything and converse. "Slut" I muttered under my breathe.


For the record, she is a slut and yes I am having a bad day, Apparently my mum tried to call Mike and apologise for what she did when we were teenagers.


I noticed a presence beside me. It was Jenna, again. "What is it?" I asked her.
"Stop being so moody! Your meant to love me Vic, not take out your shitty mood swings on me!" She sighed. I glared at her.
"You don't know the half of it" I muttered under my breathe.

A few hours past and Jenna finally gave up and left, I was glad she left when she did because 10 minutes later Mike walked in.

"Small Cappuccino, please" Mike said, smiling at Mel.
"Of course!" Mel replied turning her back and making him the Cappuccino.

"Hey Vic! Are you on your break yet?" He asked me.
"Just started it, I heard you needed to talk to me?" I mumbled scooting into a booth.
"Yeah, Mum called-" He started as Mel came with his Cappuccino. "Thanks Mel!" He smiled at her and she blushed, I guess she kind of had a thing for Mike.
"As I was saying, Mum called, she said she wants to say sorry for what she done to us when we were teenagers, She agreed that we shouldn't have been left alone but she's glad we've settled into San Diego without he-" I cut Mike off.

"You didn't tell her we lived in LA now, did you?" I said, shuddering. He shook his head. "Again thanks for cutting me off. I told her that we've moved too the USA, yet I didn't agree to see her, unless you want too" He finished. I shook my head. "No! Of course not. Mike I had to raise you as a teenager because that shitty mum didn't give two craps about us!! She left us yet I'm glad dad gave you that money when you were younger, Also I'm glad that Ja-" I stopped myself as Mike's body tensed up. "I mean I'm glad we had a place to stay while it lasted, I mean we wouldn't be here without any of those twats." I half smiled at him.

I noticed Mike finished his Cappuccino. He got up and placed the cup on the counter, I could tell that Mel was trying to flirt with him. Her hand traced Mike's hand tattoo and he grinned and me and winked, Mike always wrapping the ladies around his finger in about 1 word.
