Someday We'll Tell Ourselves 'Oh my God this is Paradise.'

t w o

I could feel someone coming up to me and Mike as we stood there, in front of a few random lockers. I didn't bother to look over, because it wouldn't be a big deal. Mike looked over, and scoffed. There she stood, he naturally wavy hair, in a simple hoodie, and skinny jeans with worn out Vans. He didn't focus on her too long, he soon continued the conversation he was having with me.

There was just something about her I didn't like. I have never talked to her, so I shouldn't judge, but she just looked like a bitch, and I didn't want to be involved with her. Mike hated her as much as me. I was hoping she wasn't trying to talk to us. "Can I help you?" my brother craved. She brought her arm from her side and pointed at the old blue locker. "Oh this is your locker? I should've guessed, that's why you were standing there. Let me help you with that." And with that Mike took all the stuff that was in her hands and threw it to the ground.

Him and myself started kicking it around the pavement. I personally didn't care if I was a dick to her. I don't like her, so I shouldn't come off as I do like her. As we kicked her stuff around some more, a little brown book peeked out of the items. Mike gave me a look, telling me to pick it up. She probably didn't want anyone to read it, but I don't care.

She stood there, with no emotion, and I went and picked up the book, tossing it to Mike, and he slid it into his back pocket. We walked away, and I didn't even bother to look over my shoulder.

"What do you think is in it?" Mike inquired. I shrugged and he pulled it out.

The cover was simple. Maryssa Green. So, that was her name. The last name Green sounded familiar, but I didn't think to much into it. He opened it up to see the pages filled with neat handwriting of a bunch of stuff written. "We are going to read everything at home," Mike sneered.

I nodded, agreeing, and we continued to walk until we reached the guitarist of band, Tony's locker. He was talking to someone, neither Mike or I recognized. We stayed back until he was done with his conversation with the blonde girl.

When he finished, he closed his locker and turned around to face us. "Tony has a lover," Mike laughed. He flipped him off and we walked to the parking lot, where my car would be parked in it's assigned spot. We all piled in and headed over to Mike and I's house.

I will admit, I was kind of anxious to see what she has written in this book of hers. "Go this way," Mike assigned, pointing to the opposite direction of our house. I turned on to the less busy road and waited for him to instruct me again. "Wait. Park right here."

I stopped the car and parked in front of a house, and looked over at my brother. He was reading the journal, and I was going to make a guess this is Maryssa's house. The large gate opened and revealed someone with a cigarette popping out of her mouth and was entranced by the music in her ears. She was riding a long board. "Follow her."

I did as my brother told me and followed her. We were following for a good fifteen minutes. "What are you guys doing?" Tony asked from the backseat, looking over Mike's shoulder. "Wait is that.. Maryssa Green?"

I turned around, as did Mike, looking at the kid. "Yeah, what about her?" Mike questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"That is Maryssa Green. As in, Max Green's sister," he spoke, looking between both of us. Max Green. "Max Green, the one that used to be in Escape."

Max Green could fuck anyone up, and I don't think that we should be fucking with his sister. "Mike, I don't think we should be doing this, if it is Max Green's sister," I warned him.

He let out a laugh and rolled his eyes, "This makes it even more fun. Fucking with one of the biggest kids that was in our school's little sister."

Mike thought he was big and tough, and I'm pretty sure that Max and Mike would put on a good fight for the school to watch. "Go back home."

I started the car again and went back in the direction of our house. As I kept thinking about the whole thing, my thoughts on this whole thing changed.

I really don't think we should be doing this. Especially, if we still go to school with Max's friends. If you want me to be completely honest, I was scared shitless of the Escape the Fate guys, I wouldn't admit it though. I can't have my younger brother fight for me, and I wasn't going to let it happen.

When we pulled into the driveway, Mike, Tony and I filed out of the car and into the house. My parents don't come home until later, and we can't have band practice because our bass player, Jaime, is on vacation with his family. Mike threw me the journal, and I opened it.

It just seems to be where she expressed her feelings. "Dude, there is nothing special about this," I scoffed, going through the pages. "Blah blah blah she's depressed, blah, anxiety attacks in school, blah she has nobody," Mike snatched it out of my hands.

"There has to be something we can use against her, if she doesn't do what we want," he growled through gritted teeth flipping through the pages like a madman. "Oh my God," he gasped. I looked up at him, as did Tony. "Found something."

He slowly read over the page and his eyes got wider with every word. At the end he was laughed like crazy. I wanted to know what is said, but Mike had a death grip on the thing. He wasn't giving it up anytime soon. Tony just sat there, and I knew he had a bad feeling about the whole thing, and wouldn't want to be involved in the end of the whole thing. "Mike give it up!" I yelled.

"Okay okay. Let me read it out loud. Okay, so it says. There is this kid, I unfortunately have known since seventh or eighth grade, I can't recall. He was on the shorter side, but was still a lot more taller than me. He has long hair that he has been growing in since middle school. As the years went on he got more and more popular. Him and his brother, who was younger than him, but way more taller than him, started a band. I don't know the name, since there a lot of bands formed here at Mission Bay. His brother is a dick to me, as is the boy. His name is Vic Fuentes, and he hates me. And I mean hates me. I have never said anything or done anything to him to make him hate me. But the worst part of this whole thing, is that I developed feeling for him. The more he was a douche the more I got attracted. No one knows this, and I mean no one. If Vic were to find out, I might as well just leave. His brother on the other hand, is a total man whore, that almost every girl in the school has fucked. I don't like him whatsoever. His blonde hair makes him seem like even more of a douche bag, I don't know how but it just does. I have tried many times to get the feeling for the older Fuentes brother out of my system, but it just gets harder and harder everyday. I don't know anymore, I would like to know what I have done to him, and I wish he would just understand my feelings."

I seriously think, I died inside. Mike was dying laughing, and I don't know what to say or do about it. The girl I hate, likes me. "Oh my God.." I trailed off. "This is what we are using against her. I would never like her. Let's just get that out there. Never in a million years, would I like Maryssa Green."

Now, when I see her, I have to be even more of a dick to her. I wasn't lying when I said, I would never like her, because I never would. I could have gone without knowing this, but now we have something to hold against her.

This is perfect.
