Someday We'll Tell Ourselves 'Oh my God this is Paradise.'

Warped Tour '07, the only place I would want to be this summer. Not only attending it, but playing it. As Tony likes to call it, it was an "Opportunity of a Life Time". We Were a last pick for the lineup this year. When a band cancelled due to something no one knows about, Lyman gave us a call and here we are. It was perfect timing, too. Not to long ago, we came out with our debut record, A Flair for the Dramatic. Having this record released and being able to have it while playing Warped, means we can figure out the fanbase.

We were the band that started in Mike and I's basement, and we never thought, four years later, we would have an actual album and be playing one of the biggest music festivals.

Anyway, from Mission Bay, most of the bands formed have still stayed as a band, though, the only one us PTV guys are still extremely close with is the All Time Low guys. Even everything that has happened between us and them, we remained pretty much best friends.

Falling in Reverse, Motionless in White, and a few others that I can't recall the names of are alse here this year.

So, back to today. Today is the kick off of Warped. I was on top of everything that had to be done until our set, mainly because I didn't want anything to mess up. We weren't on a big stage, but hey, at least we are still on a stage.

It was currently one hour after gates opened and the first sets are due to play soon. Our set is in about an hour, so we were on the bus, going over the set list. We agreed on all the songs we were play and we decided to meet up side stage when its a five minute warning, at least. Tony and Jaime went off to explore the venue.

In high school, I vividly remember the short girl with red hair, that wore a hooded sip up sweatshirt with a simple plain colored t-shirt everyday.

I fell in love with her.

It was something I never thought would happen, but it did. I feel in love with her, to most people's disliking. She left. She was gone, and no one knew were she went. I haven't seen her since December of 2003, and I'm pretty convinced I'm never going to see her again.

It was hard to, but I have moved on. I have had a couple girlfriend here and there, but there was something that was bringing her back to my mind. She was the one I wanted. But, with all the shit I put her through, I knew she would never want to speak to me again.

Mike never wanted that to happen. He didn't like her as much as me. We went through so much shit, because we were immature little bastards. As much I claim I love her... I forgot her name. But, if I saw her face, I would instantly remember her name. So, I guess I'm never going to remember it.

"Hey, I'm going to go check out some of the other bands, I'll see you for our set," he said, patting me on the shoulder and leaving the bus. It was ridiculously hot, and I'm shocked how we managed to get a bus, let alone an air conditioned bus. I will be able to put up with the heat because well, this is my dream.

I didn't know the venue, so getting a head start to try and find the stage was probably the best thing I could do right now. I got off of the couch and stretched so I could hear everyone of my bones crack. It felt amazing. I would have to get used to sleeping in a bunk if this was my life.

I opened the door and started to walk around. As I was walking, I was shocked to see that a couple people stopped me and asked for a picture. I gladly took the picture with them. This is probably the best feeling ever.

I continued to walk around, but stopped a good amount of feet away from the Alternative Press tent when I saw Tony... with a girl. I knew Stephanie wasn't going to come to the first show to see him, hell, I didn't know if she was even going to come to see him.

The girl had a smile to die for, and beautiful green eyes. Two rings sat curled around the left side of her mouth and soon jetted out when she smiled. Her bright red hair was thrown into a messy bun and it showed off the fully pierced ears on the side of her head. Every time a piece of stray hair would fall from behind her ear, she would bring her right arm up to push it back, that showed off the piercing in her wrist.

I stood there for a couple more minutes before feeling a hand on my back. "Fuentes," the voice of the kid from high school said. I turned around and faced the dirty blonde shaggy haired guy. He gave me a half smile and was about to speak up. "Glad you're hear, bro, some sick ass parties."

I nodded, him giving me a quick bro hug and walking off to what seemed to be Jack or someone. I turned on my heel and walked towards the tent, seeing Tony was now alone. I took that as my chance to keep walking up to him and maybe ask who that was. When he saw me, a half smile took over his face. "What's up, Tone," I asked. He shrugged his shoulders, noting nothing. I rolled my lips in real quick before speaking up again. "Who were you talking to before?"

A look of worry soon washed over his face. He shook his head and soon spoke up. "Just a friend from home.. pretty sure you don't know her," he said. He was talking pretty fast. Tony talks fast when he is nervous or lying.

I knew he was lying, because besides us, Tony didn't exactly have anyone who he would be able to recognize again from home. "I think I would know her.. did she go to school with us?" I inquired.

"Graduated early."

He wasn't saying anything else. He soon left the tent. I looked at the time and realized I still had some time. Maybe I should find out who this girl is. From what I saw, I think she works for AP, so she should be here for the rest of the day.

I kept circling around the venue, but I couldn't find her. I had to be side stage in five minutes, so I only had five minutes to try and find her. I didn't want to give up, but I was getting flustered. She couldn't of just left. But there were a couple of places I hadn't looked. One was one place my brother would most likely be, and that is the smoking area.

I walked over there to see nonetheless my brother and a few other people. One of them being the girl. I waiting near a sign and watched her butt out her cigarette. She turned around and started to walk out. I made it look like I was walking in, so I "accidentally" bumped into her.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said, not picking up her eyes from her feet.

"It's no problem, just going in to get my brother." When I said that, her head popped up and a look of defeat washed over her face. She started to walk away and I couldn't let her. There was something about her.

"Hey! Where are you going?" I said, she turned around and faced me.

"I'm not talking to you, Vic," she said. I hadn't even introduced myself.

When I heard the tone of her voice when she said my name I knew exactly who I was talking to.

"Maryssa?"
