Chapter Thirteen
This weekend Erica, Jaime, Vic, Tony, Casey and Mal and Emily were going to Vegas. It was going to be so much fun. Emily can’t drink but couldn’t turn down a good weekend away; she’s only just into her fourth month of pregnancy so it wasn’t going to be too hard for her. Isla was visiting her parents this weekend with Michael so she couldn’t come along, everyone was gutted she wouldn’t be coming.
The gang were driving to Vegas; it was only about 4/5 hours away. They were leaving Friday morning instead of Friday evening like they originally planned. Jaime had informed Jess of this so she could pick them up from school herself, she was fine with that. Jaime was still mad at Jess. Not for leaving but for not having spent a lot of time with the children before she does leave. He felt it wasn’t fair on Jacob and Amanda, which it wasn’t. He was just glad that he was with Erica and that the children love her.
Jaime had a conversation with Jacob the night before, just before Jacob went to sleep and he asked his son why he was so reluctant to see Jess this weekend. Jacob informed Jaime that he didn’t like Jess that much, that he would rather have Erica has a mom. This both broke and warmed Jaime’s heart. He hasn’t said anything to Erica about this yet but he probably will at some point. Jaime would be lying if he hasn’t thought about asking Erica to adopt; but obviously that was something he wasn’t going to mention.
“Vegas motherfuckers!” Casey and Tony shouted as they entered Sin City.
“It’s been so long since I was here, this is going to be such a fun weekend” Erica announced to the car.
Jaime, Emily and Vic were in a second car and as they were honking their horn to signal they were ready for the weekend.
The gang were staying in the Luxor hotel; the Pyramid. It was now 1 in the afternoon and once they settle into their rooms they were going out for lunch before getting ready for an evening of casino fun.
The rooms were simply divided; Casey, Jaime and Tony were sharing, Vic and Emily were sharing and Mal and Erica would be sharing a room. Mal and Erica used to share a room with Jess when the group would always go on trips away together because they liked having ‘girl time’ and gossip with a glass of wine while doing their make-up.
“Ooh this bed is ah-maze-ing” Mal declared as she jumped onto one of the two double beds in their suite.
“Dude, come check out this bathroom, it’s insane” Mal jumped off the bed and joined Erica in the bathroom. Erica had sat in the empty tub and Mal handed her a bottle of Champagne that was in the room when they arrived.
“Bathroom party” Mal shouted and joined Erica in the tub.
“Why didn’t we stay here the last time we came to Vegas?” Erica asked.
“I have no idea, but every time from now on we are staying here” Mal decided.
“I like that idea. We should probably get ready for lunch” Erica suggested.
“Why, the boys always take longer than us anyway” Mal laughed.
“Good point” As Erica answered there was a knock at the door and both women got up to see who it was.
When they opened the door Emily was stood there with a dress and her make-up bag.
“I thought it would only be right for all girls to get ready together, which is why I left the boys in Casey’s room” Emily joked.
“Well in that case young man, come on in” Mal joked in return.
Everyone took about 45 minutes to get dressed and unpack so the lunch they were going out for was going to be a late lunch. It didn’t bother anyone much though.
They had decided they would go to T&T for lunch – Tacos and Tequila – typical. When there they all gathered around a table and ordered so much food and drink that by about 3:30pm they were all full and their alcoholic buzz had begun.
“I cannot wait to win some money tonight” Jaime said.
“More like lose it all” Vic responded.
“That’s probably what’s going to happen” Jaime said with a slur, the booze was beginning to take effect.
“What are we doing for the rest of the day?” Emily asked.
“I don’t know but tomorrow we HAVE to go to Wet’n’Wild” Mal demanded.
A chorus of yesses came from around the table, looks like everyone agrees with that idea. After a lot of deliberating a few ideas, they finally settled on doing a bit of shopping then hanging by the hotel pool.
While shopping they didn’t actually get that much, they mainly just wandered through the shops to pass time.
When they got back to the hotel they all took the few things they had bought to their rooms and changed into their swimwear. Erica was wearing a yellow polka dot bikini. All her tattoos were on show and she looked like a graffitied wall, in a good way. She took the book she was currently reading down to the pool with her.
“No, Erica you are not reading. You’re getting in the pool” Vic demanded.
“I know, but I want to read a little too” She said and stuck out her bottom lip.
“Nope, no reading” He demanded once more but this time he took away her book. Erica eventually gave in to him and jumped into the pool.
“That’s my girl” Erica then got out and stated she was just getting her drink when what she was actually doing was pushing Vic into the pool. He still hadn’t got in since he was talking to Emily.
“You bad-word-I-can’t-say-because-there-are-kids-around” Vic said annoyed. None of them really understood why there were so many children, like why the hell would you bring your child to SIN CITY? Do you want them to become the devil?
They all stayed at the pool until 6pm, pushing each other in, hiding Erica’s book, drinking cocktails; just enjoying all their surroundings as best as they could. It was already a trip they were going to remember in years to come; they hadn’t done much but all the little things made up one big, awesome memory.
When they were done with being water rats – for today – they went back up to their rooms and prepared for their evening of adult entertainment; going from casino to casino.
The girls all got ready together again but this time it was more difficult to get ready since none of them knew what to wear. Erica finally decided on a black, sequin mini dress with sleeves up that stop at the elbow. She paired that with her studded Jeffrey Campbell’s and a small clutch bag. Her make-up was simple, red lips and a smooth winged eye liner.
As she walked out of the bathroom, after looking herself over once more and being proud of how she looked, Mal and Emily’s jaws were practically on the floor.
“Holy fucking wow” Mal said, Erica giggled “Seriously Erica you looking fucking hot” Mal complemented.
“Thank you” Erica began to blush a little. She hadn’t dressed up this much in a very long time but she felt confident and beautiful and the girls were helping with that “You two look just as stunning. Let’s go show the boys how hot we are” She suggested.
“Let’s” Emily agreed.
The girls took a few snaps of themselves in the mirror before going along the hall to Jaime’s room. After one knock they were let in and all of the boy’s mouths dropped, this was going to be a fun night indeed.
“You look so beautiful” Jaime whispered into Erica’s ear as she hugged him.
“You don’t look so bad yourself” She said and placed a kiss on his cheek.
“Are we all ready to go?” Tony asked as he entered the room after ending a phone call with Isla.
For the second time that day a chorus of the word yes was shouted in glee.
“Then let’s go amigos” He said with a giant grin on his face.
The evening went well; everyone won some money at least once. Mal, Emily and Erica had won about $50 on the slot machines between them and were proud. They all spent some time at the roulette and black jack tables too.
After a while in the hotel Casino they ventured along the Vegas Strip and attended a few other casinos, making more of a loss than a win at each of them. They didn’t care all that much though since it was fun, they were drinking, laughing and having fun. Money was not a current worry for any of them.
Later that night when everyone was back at the hotel they camped in Jaime, Casey and Tony’s room, since it was the biggest. Nobody wanted to go to bed just yet so they ordered some food and booze to their room and had a big slumber party. They watched Bill and Ted before finally tiredness began to call upon each of them.
Mal and Erica went back to their room first and both passed out pretty much as soon as they got into bed.
The rest of the weekend was pretty much the same thing; alcohol, laughing, Wet’n’Wild, FUN.
The seven of them went home very happy, mainly because on the Saturday night Casey and Tony won a $4000 in the Casino. This was definitely a weekend to remember.

I know this chapter is terrible, probably one of the worst I've ever written, but I needed to get something up and I mentioned that they were going to Vegas last chapter. Anywho the next update will be better, I promise. Maybe even a bit of drama :)Let me know what you think.
