A Diamond Bullet and a Gun Made of Gold

It was the day before Vic and his band were coming home and she had finally agreed to have lunch with Amelia. They hadn't seen each other since Amelia told Vic about Tegan using again. They had seen each other at school but never really said hello. They were meeting at a restaurant in the mall and Amelia was already there when Tegan arrived.
Tegan waited outside for a few moments, preparing herself mentally, before going in. She took a deep breath and sorted out her hair before entering.

"Hey" She said as she approached the table Amelia was sat at.
"Hey" Amelia replied. Tegan sat down and Amelia immediately started with apologies. "Look Tegan , I hate this. I hate not talking to you when I see you in the hallway at school. You're my best friend. I know I broke my promise to you but I was worried about you and I thought telling Vic would be the best thing for you. Please forgive me" It was Amelia's turn to take a deep breath now, since everything she said was at a rather fast pace.

"Amelia, I forgive you okay. I hate this too. I was just upset that you told Vic. More upset at how he reacted to be honest. But I miss you. And I'm sorry I've been such a shitty friend. I know you were only looking out for me and I really appreciate it. I should be the one asking for forgiveness."

"Friends again?" Amelia asked with a soft smile.
"Friends again" Tegan agreed with a chuckle and got up to hug Amelia.

We're about ten minutes away
Tegan told everyone in the house that the band were nearly here and they sorted out the final preparations for the boys return. Jaime and Tony's parents were there too. They all decided they were going to have a small welcome home party. Amelia and Simon were there too.

Tegan was really nervous about Vic coming home. They still spoke practically every day but it just didn't feel the same. They always ignored the obvious problem and jus tried to enjoy their conversations. But it was always a little awkward.
She hadn't seen Ryan since the night he tried to kiss her either. She had bumped into Cameron once and he asked her if she knew why Ryan had been so bummed out but she acted clueless. She did find out that Amelia had gone on a date with Cameron though.

Those ten minutes went by really quick and soon the house was filled with the sound of the RV roaring into the driveway. They all rushed outside to greet the band. They knew all their families would be there but they didn't realise they had made food and were turning it into a small party.

Tegan jumped on Vic as soon as he exited the RV, squeezing him so tight he almost couldn't breathe. He squeezed just as hard and kissed all over her face, before whispering sweet nothings into her ear.

Amelia and Mike saw the way they were clinging onto each other and realised in that minute how much Tegans 'stunt' had affected the couple. They didn't say anything though but gave each other a knowing look.

Amelia never did give Mike a call to see if he liked her in return but she certainly still had a crush on him. She decided that once they had been home a few days she was going to see if he wanted to go get a coffee or something with her.

Once everyone had finished saying hello they made their way to the backyard and indulged in the party food Vivian and Tegan had cooked. The four musicians shared their stories from the road. It may have only been 3 weeks but they got up to plenty of mischief, as well as playing some amazing shows.

They continued the welcome home 'party' for a couple of hours before unloading the RV. When all of Vic and Mike's stuff was in the house and Jaime and Tony's was in their parents' cars the latter two went home.
All four of them needed a decent shower and a proper nights sleep and that's exactly what all four of them did.

I apologise if this is really bad. Its been months since I've written anything so I have to get back into the swing of things.
