Dreamless In Early Graves

I heard the front door open "Grace is that you?" i asked curiously. Grace was my roommate, i met her in high school. We were the unpopular scary kids that got bullied for being themselfs so we decided that we should be hated together and we've been best friends ever since.

"yeah its me...AND I HAVE AWESOME NEWS!!!" She sounded like she was going to explode. I chuckled and walked down the stairs to meet the overly exited, bouncing off the walls Grace. I sat down at the island and poured myself a glass of sweet tea.

"whats your awesome news?" I asked before taking a sip. "oh you know i just kinda slept with some guys and got us ptv concert tickets and back stage passes." she said with her head stuffed in the fridge.

"YOU FUCKING WHAT NOW" I choked on my tea. "Haha funny joke Grace whats the real news."Grace always new what to say to make me spit out my tea. "I'm not joking i told you the truth" she says as she pulls out a tub of ice cream and grabed a spoon. "ok grace a) you would not sleep with someone until your at least 21 you've told me this 1,000 times and b) like there's any way you or the guys you "slept with" could have gotten tickets the tour sold out in like 4 hours which by the way we had no money to spend on things like that." I said matter-of-factly.

"Well ok maybe i didn't sleep with anyone but i do have these" She pulled something out of her bag and upon closer inspection I saw that they were, in fact, Pierce The Veil concert tickets ans backstage passes.

"HOLY FUCKING PACKAGED SHIT IN A CAN. HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET THESE" now i was believing she slept with someone. "Haha they were presents from my work because I did 18 extra hours last week" she shrugged "Grace! 18 hours? You already work way to much why do you do that to yourself?" Grace world 10 hours a day so she can earn a lot of money for us considering my job doesn't pay well. "Well i thought i could earn an extra buck or two so we could go to six flags or something this weekend but they gave me the tickets so thats what we're doing with our weekend" she was smiling from ear to ear. She really enjoyed helping out or doing things that make me happy and i love her for that shes really the best friend i could have ever asked for.

Like when I had my last boyfriend. He was the best guy ever, at the start. Ethan was super sweet, he was there for me and he helped me with all of my problems and he actually cared. We had been dating for about a year and he started to change. He wasn't as sweet anymore. He started to pick fights about everything i did and one day i told him that if he was just going to fight with me on everything he might as well leave. He didn't take that very well and he told me never to speak to him like that again and he hit me. From then on he became abusive and i have no idea why, I tried to be the best girlfriend ever and I did everything for him but apparently it wasn't enough.

One day about 3 months after he started hitting me Grace came over, she didn't give me a heads up or anything so when she arrived Ethan was in one of his angry moments. He was about to hit me again when she yanked him away from me and threw him to the ground, catching him off guard. She started punching him with all of her weight and told him to never come back to my house or have any contact with me ever again. He ran out of the house like a scared puppy and I haven't seen him since.

"Yoohoo is anyone home?" I snapped back into reality to see a confused grace waving her hands in my face. "Yea sorry i was lost in thought" i chuckled to lighten the mood "Yea obviously you've been sitting there staring into space for 5 minutes"

Grace and i went to the couch and watched the entire Harry Potter movie marathon for the rest of the night.



*Saturday evening*
I was mildly freaking out because i wasn't sure What to wear. You might think im just being a girl on this but i was about to meet my idols and i wanted to look good. I ended up with an All time low tee and a red fleece with ripped jeans and black vans. Once i was satisfied with my Outfit and makeup i knocked on Graces door.

"YO BITCH are you coming we DON'T wanna be late" I yelled through the door. "Yea im ready" she opened the door and was wearing a Pierce the Veil sweater with ripped jeans and black vans. "you look nice" i complimented her. "Thank you, You look cute too!"

Grace and i got in her car and we were off to the venue. The drive was Quiet, Grace seemed kind of pre-occupied or not focused. I wasn't sure why, well shes probably just thinking and will be fine for the show. We got there Super early so we were almost first in line.This was going to be the best experience of my life.
