Tony was all too aware of Jaime’s leg pressed against his. It felt hypersensitive, like the amount of nerves where Jaime was touching has doubled. The heat from his leg made Tony’s feel like it was on fire.

Tony did his best to ignore it and focus on the TV. It shouldn’t even be this hard to focus. It was Star Wars after all. Nothing could really take away his focus when watching Star Wars but Jaime…

Tony bit his tongue and tried his hardest to keep a straight face. Even though he didn’t think it, he knew he couldn’t keep pretending for too much longer. Every time he was around Jaime, he felt like he was going to explode. It was getting pretty bad recently too.

Tony leaned his head back and closed his eyes. All of these confusing feelings swirling beneath his surface were really making Tony’s head hurt. He just wanted them to all go away; to recede back into whatever deep crevice they snuck up from.

He just wanted to be with his friend without feeling so confused.

“Tony,” Jaime’s worried voice caught Tony’s attention. “Are you okay?”

“Uhhh yeah,” Tony weakly replied. “My head is just killing me.”

“Oh. Come here,” Jaime said, pulling Tony into his chest.

“What are you doing?” Tony asked, trying his hardest to keep from sounding like some blushing anime schoolgirl with her sempai.

“You’re in pain and I figured that I would be more comfortable than you sitting in that weird way.” Jaime said.

“Dude,” Tony complained, even though didn’t really mean it. “This is weird.”

Jaime laughed. “Relax man. It’s cool. It’s not like you aren’t comfortable in your manhood or anything?”

Tony bit his tongue again to keep cool. “No. It’s fine. I’d just rather lay down.”

“Oh well,” Jaime said as he reached for a pillow to put in his lap, “you can just lay here.”

Tony couldn’t help but laugh. “If you insist.”

Jaime studied Tony closely. He wondered if that smile and laugh meant something. But Jaime did give him a creepy smile when he told Tony to lie on his lap. He knew that his facial expressions have always made Tony laugh a lot. And he was always pretty silly. Everyone laughed around Jaime. Tony was probably not any different.

Tony twisted on his side and rested his head on the pillow in Jaime’s lap. He brought his feet onto the couch and curled halfway into a ball, how he did whenever he went to sleep. Unsurprisingly, he was comfortable. Jaime had a comforting way about him. Not to mention the warmth coming off of him and the way he played with Tony’s braid. Tony really did love his hair being played with.

“You seem pretty relaxed,” Jaime said after a few minutes of not saying anything.

“Yeah,” Tony agreed with a yawn. “I’m pretty sleepy.”

Tony felt Jaime move and then a blanket was thrown over his shoulders. He glanced up at Jaime who was smiling down on him. Then he heard something he wished to hear more often Jaime singing.

Jaime Sang:

“Hush little Turtle, don’t you cry
Jaime is going to sing you a nice lullaby
And if this lullaby doesn’t work
Jaime’s going to turn into a big oh jerk
And if Jaime turns into a big jerk
You’re going to have to find a new line of work
Cause Jaime will kick you out of the band
And he’ll steal all your biggest fans
And without us, you’ll have no one
Never again will you have fun
So take your ass down to the pole
And shake it like you are a hoe
And if Jaime wants a piece of that ass
You better bend over and take it like a man”
Tony wore a small smile. He loved the things that came out of Jaime’s brilliant mind. “Jaime,” he murmured, “you should really sing more.”

Jaime leaned back and smiled down at the man in his lap. “I just might,” he said, humming until Tony fell asleep.
