Tony watched as Jaime got off stage, leaving the screaming crowd behind him. His breathing was ragged and the sweat soaked him head to toe. His hair has lost its volume and clung to his face in curly wet clumps. He looked utterly exhausted. Yet, he had a huge grin plastered on his face.

Tony loved that about him. No matter where he was or what he was doing or if he wasn't feeling his best, Jaime could find the fun in anything. And he kept that smile on his face.

"Tony," Jaime whined, throwing his arm across Tony's shoulders. "I feel like I'm going to pass out."

"That's all your fault," Tony replied, supporting the exhausted Jaime. "You shouldn't have been up all night playing The Last of Us."

"But it's soooo good," Jaime whined. Then he smiled at Tony. "You should stay up tonight and play with me."

Tony felt his cheeks heat up at the thought of spending the night with Jaime, even if they were just playing video games. As much as Tony would’ve loved that, he shot down Jaime’s offer. “Dude, you haven’t slept in how long and we just played a pretty intense show. Not to mention we’re going to be on the road all night for another show tomorrow. You need rest.”

“But I don’t want to sleep,” Jaime whined again, leaning more against Tony.

“You have to!” Tony growled, jabbing the other man in the ribs with his finger.

“Ow!” Jaime yelped. Then he looked at Tony with narrowed eyes. “If you’re so insistent on making me sleep, let me sleep on you before we go out to meet the fans.”

Jaime closely studied Tony’s face for a reaction. The guitarist’s eyes widened just a little and Jaime saw a small part of his cheek being indented, telling him that Tony was biting his cheek. Jaime knew that Tony had a bad habit of biting his cheeks or his tongue whenever he was nervous.

“Please,” Jaime begged. “There isn’t anywhere comfy to lay and you should really return the favor!”

“If you really want,” Tony replied without putting up a fight. Why would he? He actually thought it’d be nice to let Jaime sleep on him. “I don’t mind.”

Tony led Jaime to a relatively quiet corner and sat on the floor. Jaime sat beside and laid his head on Tony’s shoulder. “Thanks man,” Jaime mumbled and within moments, he was asleep.

Tony sat there amazed at how tired Jaime must have been. He would’ve felt bad if it hadn’t been Jaime’s own irresponsibility that made him so burnt out. Still, he hated for him to feel so drained.

Tony listened to the last few minutes of Vic’s performance. He was asking the crowd all sorts of questions, making them scream. And then Vic finally sat down with his guitar to play a few acoustic songs.

“Oh uh… hi,” a girl’s voice caught Tony’s attention.

“Hey,” Tony greeted two girls with a smile.

“Is Jaime really asleep with all of this noise?” the second girl asked.

“Yep,” Tony laughed. “He’s a dumb butt who stayed up all night playing videos.”

The girls giggled and one said, ”You guys are really cute.”

Tony’s grin widened. “Thanks.”

“It’s true,” she giggled some more. “Can I take a picture of you guys?”

“Go ahead,” Tony said a smiled for the camera, giving Jaime some bunny ears.

After taking the picture, one of the girls asked, “Are the two of you a thing or something? I saw a picture of you sleeping on Jaime the other day on Twitter and now, this.”

Tony faked a laugh. “Nah. We’re just friends. Friends can sleep on other friends. It’s what friends do.”

We’ll never be anything more than just friends, Tony bitterly thought.
