"What did I do wrong?" I cried into Mike's chest.
"You didn't do anything wrong baby girl, she's just messed up in the head. You're perfect," he said softly, moving closer to me in the limited space we did have in his bunk.
"Then why did she do those things to me?"
"I don't know Michelle, I don't think anybody knows. Only she knows the answers to the questions," he sighed before continuing, "please don't let her get to you like this, I hate to see you cry."
I never answered him, I just snuggled closer to him leaving us in silence. After awhile he spoke up, "come on let's go get ice cream. You can eat your feelings."
I smiled up at him and his choice of words making me laugh a little. Falling out of the bunk Mike yelled, "we're going to get ice cream!"
"Wait! I'm coming with you!"
"Me too!"
Tony and Jaime came racing towards us, almost falling on their faces in the process. Shaking my head at them we walked off the bus. Once I stepped off the bus Mike put his head in between my legs and lifting me up onto his shoulders.
"Micheal Christopher Fuentes put me down!" I squealed.
"Not gonna happen my lady," he said smirking.
"Aww I want someone to carry me! Jaime give me a piggy back ride damn it!" Tony yelled jumping on Jaime's back.
Jaime caught him, and started spinning around in circles.
"I said carry me! Not make me sick you dumb fuck!"
I laughed at their silliness, and quieted them down. "There could be kids around! Watch your mouth!"
"Oh shit, sorry," Tony said.
Slapping him on the head, "Tony!" I yelled.
"I'm sorry gosh," he said looking down and pouting.
We arrived at the ice cream shop seconds later. Mike never put me down. But was cautious as we stepped into the shop, trying not to hit my head off of the door frame, and the ceiling.
The teenager behind the counter turned to us smiling, noticing my position on Mike she let out a small giggle.
"What can I get for you guys today?"
Mike ordered for me, surprisingly he knew exactly what I wanted, the girl turned to Jaime and Tony, Tony still on his back, "what can I get for you and your boyfriend?"
"Hey now! He's not my boyfriend!" Jaime yelled causing everyone around to crack up.
Once we got our ice cream we went back outside to sit down. Mike slid me off his shoulders so I was now sitting on the top of the table.
"What can I get for you and your boyfriend?" Tony mocked the girl inside, clearly upset about it.
I tried to hold back my laughter but failed miserably. Looking around at my great group of friends, I couldn't help but to smile. Who knew such a horrible night could end up turning out great. The only thing that was missing was Vic, but he stayed on the bus. Party pooper.
"Whats got you all smiley?" Jaime asked with a mouthful of ice cream.
"Nothing, I just have some pretty amazing friends," I said smiling sweetly.
Followed by a chorus of aww's going around the table.
"Michelle?" Someone asked from behind me.
I turned around with my jaw dropping to the floor.
