Tony soon arrived at Jaime’s house and was feeling nervous. He didn’t really know what he wanted to say to Jaime, he just knew he had to talk to him. His best friend was dating the only girl he ever really loved and he needed to talk it through with him. He sighed to himself before knocking on the door. It was quickly opened by Jaime who let Tony in and the pair shared a hug before going to the kitchen. Jaime pulled out two beers handing one to Tony and opening the other for him.

“Do you love her?” Was the first thing that Tony said, he didn’t even know why he asked that.

“Honestly, I think I do. I fell fast with her. I didn’t expect to but I did, she’s perfect” Jaime had a genuine smile on his face and Tony could see that he meant what he said.

“Just promise me that you won’t hurt her, like I did” He whispered the last part.

“I could never hurt her” Jaime said, he thought that sounded a little harsh but he didn’t intend for it to.

“Look I’m pretty sure she told you what went down between us, I just want to know that you and I will be okay. I really don’t want to lose my best friend” He became worried.

“Tony I’m not going anywhere. Noelle did tell me what happened but that’s between you two. I’m not getting involved okay? You’re still going to be my best friend and Noelle knows that and she is perfectly fine with it. I just wish you two would talk or at least try and be civil to one another” He suggested.

“I want to but I know she’ll just get upset. I can’t excuse what I did but I’m willing to be respectful for your guys’ sake.” He gave a small smile and they decided to change the subject.

They spent the rest of the night talking about random things that best friends talk about. Tony ended up crashing on the sofa.

-NEXT DAY-

Noelle was on her way to Jaime’s to surprise him with the breakfast she had bought for them. She got to his house and took out the spare key that he had recently given her. When she opened the door she didn’t expect to see Tony lying on the couch.

Tony woke up when he heard the door shut; Noelle was in the kitchen putting the breakfast bagel onto a plate to take into Jaime’s room for him.

“Hey” Tony said cautiously. “Hey” Noelle responded before walking through the lounge and up to Jaime’s room. She put the two plates and coffees on the side and slowly crawled on top of Jaime. “Morning” She whispered into his ear followed by a kiss on the lips. He soon jolted up with a giant smile on his face. “Gosh I love waking up to your face” He said and cupped her face in his hands, pressing his lips against hers.

“I got you breakfast” She pointed towards the plate and he took his one and handed the other bagel to Noelle. They sat in bed eating breakfast and talking about nothing in particular.

“How was Tommy’s?” Jaime asked. “It was fun, we just hung out. We spoke about the whole Tony situation though. He’s pleading with me to at least try and talk to him, like to try and amend things or at least try and get along” She sighed and ate the last of her bagel.

“He and I kind of had a similar chat. He came over and asked me to never hurt you. He really does regret what he did, but that’s between you two. Like I told you, I’m not going to get involved but he definitely seems to want to try and be able to have everyone hang out and it not be awkward, you know”? Noelle nodded and snuggled into Jaime a little.
Today was her day off and they planned on spending their time doing nothing. They always loved doing nothing with each other because it was chill, no worries going around just a nice relaxed time that both of them enjoyed.

They heard a knock at the front door which Tony got up to answer but they both headed down to the lounge.

“I thought you were at your friends?” Mike asked as he pulled Noelle into an embrace.
“I was but I came over to surprise Jaime with breakfast” She smiled and let go.

“Definitely a keeper” Mike said as he fist bumped Jaime. “Definitely” Jaime replied.

The five of them made their way to the kitchen, they always seemed to hang out in the kitchen no matter whose house it was. Noelle and Mike were sat on the kitchen side while the remaining three were sat around the kitchen island, on bar stools.

“What are you guys doing today?” Mike asked.

“Err, I don’t know. Hime what are we doing today?”

“I thought we were decorating your apartment?” Noelle had just moved into a new apartment and it was still pretty bare. Nearly no furniture and nothing had been repainted.

“Uh, I hate decorating” She moaned “It has to be done at some point though, you have like no furniture. We can go to Ikea and get some stuff” Jaime suggested. “I hate shopping even more but fine” She swayed her legs back and forth. She could feel Tony’s eyes burning into her skin.

“How’s Tommy?” Tony asked. Everyone was a bit shocked at his sudden words.

“He’s good, he’s engaged to Giselle. They’re getting married next year and he works with me at the shop, helps me design some of the stuff.” Noelle said softly.

“Giselle Longing? Gosh I thought she hated him? What stuff do you guys design?” Tony was sincerely intrigued.

“Yeah but he won her over a few years ago when he took her to New York for her birthday one weekend. I own a clothing line, we have a shop and everything” Noelle was happy when she talked about work.

“Ah cool. Tony has a clothing line too” Mike said

“Really? Great minds” She giggled and put her head down a little.

“Yeah I guess” Talking like this, as if nothing has happened between them, as if they were meeting for the first time and getting to know each other was awkward for both of them and everyone could sense it.

“We can help you decorate your apartment, too, if you want?” Vic offered.
“Yeah I love painting rooms and shit” Mike added.

“Fine by me, the more people to help the less I have to do” She joked, jumping off the side to put her disposable Starbucks cup in the bin.
