Once Jaime and Noelle got back to Jaime’s place they went to bed and passed out almost immediately. Noelle knew she would have to talk to him about what happened but she wanted to sleep first so she was refreshed and not drained from crying so much.

“Morning beautiful” Jaime called out as Noelle walked down the stairs in one of his t-shirts. He had been making waffles and put a plate of them in front of Noelle.

“Morning sweet pea” She said as she leant over the counter and kissed him before starting on her breakfast.

Jaime was eyeing her carefully, he didn’t want to bring up last night but he also wanted to talk about it.

“I know what you’re thinking” She said looking up at him with a soft smile. “I’ll tell you everything but after breakfast because these waffles are amazing” She let out a gentle giggle and he nodded in agreement.

Breakfast was soon over and Noelle and Jaime were sat in the lounge, both with a cup of coffee; there were cartoons on in the background so the room wasn’t so quiet. Noelle took a deep breath and began to talk.

“So Tony and I met in high school. There used to be a hang out area on the roof of the school that only a few people knew about, two of them being us. It was the first day of our last year at school and we had already cut two classes. God I hated school. Well we started hanging out a lot. He helped with some of my problems and I with his. About 4 weeks after we met we started dating. We were the perfect couple. We would just hang out and watch movies, eat pizza and play music. I used to play music. I actually used to write music but that stopped after we broke up. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it anymore because when I used to write, everything would be about him and after we stopped seeing each other I didn’t want anything to be about him.

We were together for almost three years. It was my twentieth birthday and a few of our friends had thrown me a party because I’m quite the party animal. Anyway we went there and it was great everything was perfect but later in the night I couldn’t find Tony anywhere so I asked if anyone had seen him. No one had so I went upstairs and was going to call him; it was quieter upstairs so I would have been able to hear him. I rung his phone and I heard it go off in one of the rooms and when I walked into it I was hoping to see him passed out drunk or something but no, I walked in and he had some other chick straddling him and calling out his name.

I went into the room pushed her off and started slapping and punching him. I was so angry and upset, obviously and I didn’t know what to do. I ran out of the house and headed back home. He followed me out but I just screamed how much I hated him. I made it clear to him that we were over and went home. I never wanted to see him again, well I mean I did. I loved him but I wouldn’t let myself be a fool.

I had been offered a job in LA a few weeks earlier but I was going to turn it down so Tony and I could be together however after the stunt he pulled I took the job and moved away. A few years ago I came back to San Diego because I missed it too much. This is my home you know? I set up the shop and the clothing line and then 3 months ago I met you and here we are.” Noelle let out a sigh and wiped away the tears that were on her cheeks.

Tony was the only person Noelle has ever loved. It’s been 6 years since they saw each other and she didn’t expect this kind of impact but all of the feelings from her past rose to the surface when she saw him and she couldn’t control them. Since him she’s been in two relationships and neither of them worked out but now she’s with Jaime and the only thing she wants is for this to work out. She’s falling for him and it’s no secret that the feeling is mutual.


Tony stayed at Vic and Mike’s house since Mike bought him back there after the trip to the hospital. He did in fact have a broken hand. The three of them were in the kitchen making small talk because the brothers didn’t know if they should bring up Noelle or not. They chose not to but Tony did it himself anyway.

“I can’t believe she stopped playing music, because of me. Music was her life. It was everything to her” He said more to himself than anything.

“Dude, are you okay?” Vic asked, obviously the answer was no but he wanted to make sure.

“No, I fucked everything up 6 years ago and now she hates me even more. Now she’s dating Jaime and I’m never going to be able to forget what I did”

“I have to admit, I totally didn’t have you down as the type to cheat on a girl” Mike said flatly.

“I’m not. I just.. That night I was so fucked up and her and Tommy had been flirting and I know that’s no excuse. Especially since they were best friends and they were always like that, it was normal for them but something just nagged at me and I regret ever stepping into that room with that girl. I don’t even remember who it was; I know I had never seen her before that night. I’m such a dick.” He put his head in his hands and began mumbling things to himself.

Vic came over and put his arm around Tony’s shoulder in an effort to comfort him. “Hey, I’m sure she’ll come around and you guys can talk. So you at least can be civil for Jaime’s sake” He said calmly.

“Don’t hold your breath” He muttered and got up and took his keys from the side. “I’ll see you guys later” He waved at them and left the house.
