All Again For You

Call Me Hopeless, Not Romantic

"I wanna see Lynda." I said blankly and out of nowhere as Mike stood in front of the closet, picking out an outfit that he could wear today.

He turned to me and raised an eyebrow, "Then, go see her."

"It's just weird because her and I used to be so close, like fucking best friends, Mike, and ever since I moved over here, it's been weird. We grew apart so much and we promised that we wouldn't. And, I miss having a girl friend. I'm surrounded by too much testosterone."

He laughed, picking out a shirt and walking to me. "I second that. Get some lady friends, already." He hung up his shirt on the handle of the dresser as he plugged in the iron and waited for it to heat up. "I know, you two were really close and I can feel how close you two aren't anymore and it's honestly really sad."

A small frown came across my face as I thought about Lynda. Her and I haven't talked much in a long while. The last time I really talked to her was when we went to dinner with her and everyone last summer. I wanted to know how she was doing, how Isaiah and Jesse were doing. I feel like I had been so consumed in mine and Mike's life, that I forgot about her. Honestly, I had been consumed in everyone else's lives but hers.

"I think you should see her, baby. Call her up and ask her if she's busy." Mike suggested.

"I think I will. Things are weird without her."

He smiled at me, then turned around so he could iron his shirt. Ludo was sleeping on our bed, lightly snoring. I pet him softly, then picked up my phone and sent a text to Lynda.

Hey, are you busy this weekend?

A
few minutes later, she replied:

I'm off on Saturday, actually! Why what's up?

I'll be heading out to San Diego this weekend, and I think you and I should go on a dinner date. What do you say?

Really? Yeah! Definitely, Luce. I miss you :(

I miss you, too. But, Saturday, I'm all yours!

I'm really excited now, dude.

I smiled at my phone as I read the texts between her and I. "Hey buggie, you wanna go to San Diego this weekend?" I asked Mike.

"Sure! I wanna see everyone. Did you talk to Lynda Rose?"

I nodded happily, "Yeah! Her and I are going to dinner on Saturday."

He grinned, "You two need to get back to basics. We should visit both of our families this weekend, then."

"I'm all for it, bee." I said once I had stood up and wrapped my arms around him as he was ironing his skinny jeans.

--

Saturday morning, Mike and I drove down to San Diego. Windows down, music blasting, our hair blowing in the wind as we smelled the salty air. We both had overnight bags in the back seat of his Cadillac as we were going to be at his old house. I put my arm out of the window and let it soar with the wind and the movement of the car. I smiled at Mike as he was focused on driving, his sunglasses hiding his eyes. He still gives me butterflies after all these years, most of those us not even together. He made me feel special, and I couldn't see myself living without him.

"Hey babe?" I said, Mike turning his head over to me and back to the road, "Yeah?"

"So now since I'll be making more money, maybe in a few months, we could buy a bigger house? That way we could have room for all of our stuff, and for each other, and Ludo and-"

"-babies." He winked, and then laughed jokingly.

I shook my head, "No way, not now. But, yeah! What do you think?"

"I think that sounds like a brilliant idea, little Luce. Then, I could have my own practice space and I won't annoy you." He grinned widely. "How about from now into the next year, we start looking?"

"Deal." I said, grinning. God, this boy made me so happy.

“I should just wife you up now, huh?” He looked over to me and smirked slyly.

“Duh, stupid.” I grinned and then laughed, knowing that it didn't matter if him and I ever got married; just as long as he was mine, and I was his.

--

“Vic!” I shouted as he swung open the door with open arms.

“Luce! Fuck, I've missed you guys! Well, mainly you.” He smirked, hugging me tightly.

“Yeah, yeah whatever.” Mike rolled his eyes jokingly.

Vic closed the door behind us and lead us into the living room. Katelynne was sitting there holding the remote as she turned back to face us. “Dude, what’s up?”

“Hey! I didn't think you’d be here.” I smiled, happy to know that her and Vic were still seeing each other. Neither of them had talked to Mike or I about it lately. I sat beside her on the couch and gave her a small hug.

"I didn't think that you would! Are you two staying the weekend?"

Mike nodded, giving her a hug. "Yeah, so don't fuck that loud. Remember my old room is next to Vic's." He smirked, causing her and Vic to blush, and me to laugh.

"Mike, leave them alone." I said, still giggling.

"C'mon princess, let's go upstairs and show them how we do it." He scooped me up in his arms, making Vic and Kate laugh, and ran up the stairs into this room, shutting the door with his leg.

He crashed down on top of me on his bed, smiling on my neck as he left small kisses. I wrapped my arms around his neck, making sure his lips didn't leave their place. He scooted me up on the mattress and began to rip off the black Doc Martens that I was wearing. My hand pulled off his t-shirt and he softly nibbled on my neck. Soft moans escaped my mouth as pleasure ran through my veins.

The red flannel I was wearing was being slipped off by Mike's fingers. The roughness of his hands were turning me on like never before. I kissed his neck and nibbled it, moans escaping his mouth. I smiled on his neck as his hands slowly started slipping up my skirt. He spread my legs open and moved my panties over to the side. And a minute or so later, I was in pure ecstasy.

"Babe, where is my Tom Ford lipstick!" I shouted from the bedroom floor as I was doing my makeup in front of a long mirror.

"Um..." He paused from the restroom. "Right here." He brought over a gold a burgundy tube of lipstick and handed it to me.

"Thank you." I smiled softly as he bent down and kissed me.

I continued doing my makeup as Mike scanned my outfit that was laid out on the bed. "All black. That's sexy as fuck." He smirked and eyed me slyly.

"Duh. Didn't you notice my obsession with American Horror Story: Coven last season? I'm channeling the coven." I joked, earning a raised eyebrow from him. I instantly knew he wanted to go for round 2, but there was no time. "No Mike, I'll be later than I already am! You put me behind from getting ready." I looked over at him and he nodded.

"That ass is mine when you get home. You know how I get when you where those leather legging things."

I rolled my eyes, laughing a little and continued to finish up my makeup. I wasn't wearing much today, so it went by pretty quickly. I got up and let my hair that was in a messy bun down, and undressed from Mike's shirt that he lent me when I got out of the shower. I adjusted my black thong and proceeded to get dressed. Mike stared at me as I got dressed and made a face.

"What?" I asked him as I fixed my bra, which of course was black.

"What am I supposed to do while your gone?"

"Um, I don't know. Go out with your brother? Katelynne already left and went back to LA."

"Vic!" He shouted loudly, hoping his brother, who was in the room beside us, would hear.

I threw on my undershirt before Vic walked in since Mike didn't seem to take into consideration that I was half naked. "What's up?" His head popped in the door that he opened.

"Let's go do something. Let's spy on Luce and Lynda on their dinner and see if they talk about boys."

Vic's gaze went to me and I rolled my eyes making him laugh. "Let's order a pizza and call Jaime, Tony, and Casey over. It's a fucking Saturday night and we're gonna have a sausage fest."

I laughed loudly as I adjusted my outfit in the mirror. "Do I look witchy, Vic?" I asked once I had placed the hat on top of my head.

He nodded, "Very."

"Great." I smiled and walked over to Mike, leaning down and kissing him passionately. I whispered in his ear, "Don't get too full on pizza." I winked and his eyes got big as he shot me a devilish grin. I walked to Vic and kissed his cheek, "Make sure he behaves." He nodded and waved me off as I grabbed Mike's keys from the nightstand.

"Don't crash my car!" Mike shouted after me once I walked out of the room.

"Promise I won't." I yelled back and went down the stairs and out of the door.

--

"You look gothy. I like it." Lynda smiled as I walked into the restaurant.

"Lynda Rose!" I shouted, giving her a huge hug. She smiled at me and hugged me again.

"I've missed you, dude. So much." She said as the hostess took us to our table.

"I know! I've been thinking about you a lot and I feel so bad for letting us grow apart in a way." I frowned as I looked from my menu to her.

"Can I start you ladies with anything to drink?" The chipper waitress dressed in black asked us.

Lynda smiled and said, "I'll have a glass of water and a glass of red wine, please."

"And, I'll have a glass of water and a whiskey Coke, please."

"Is Jack okay?" She asked.

I grinned, "Jack is perfect, thank you." She nodded and went to get our drinks as Lynda and I looked over the menus. I decided on a pasta and kept chatting until the waitress came back to take our orders, and once she did, Lynda began to ask how I was doing.

"I've been doing really well. Oh my god, guess what?" I announced excitedly.

"What?"

"I got promoted to editor-in-chief of the LA headquarters, dude!" I exclaimed.

Her eyes grew, "No way! Congrats little baby! Oh my gosh, that's wonderful."

I sipped on my whiskey and smiled, "I know. I was shocked! Mike said he wasn't, but I really was."

"I'm proud of you! How are you and Mike doing?"

I smiled big, not realizing how big until her smile matched mine. "It's going amazing. This morning, we were talking about us moving into a bigger house within the next year. We can afford it now that I got promoted, and we could use the space. He's so down for a bigger house."

"I was surprised he moved away from San Diego! But then again, he was moving in with you so I could see why he didn't have a problem with it." She smirked.

"I didn't think he would move either. I'm so glad he did, though because it's been going so well. It's been almost six months and I don't want to kill him."

Lynda laughed loudly, "Yeah right, kill him. You two are probably boning all the time."

I grinned proudly, "All the time. We did today when we got to Vic's."

"Oh my god, remember when his first day at Target and you and I were gonna train him and you were so annoyed about having to train a new person?" She remembered, making me laugh.

I did in fact remember that day perfectly. I didn't care about the new person until I turned around and took one look at him. Man, was he something. "How could I forget? I've never been the same since then."

She smiled softly, "Are you two talking about having little one's?"

"We have a few times. We both agreed that we're going with the flow right now. We're extremely happy doing what we wanna do." I answered honestly.

"That's good that you guys have that planned out. When you both are ready then you can go for it." She paused for a moment the spoke, "I heard that you saw your parents?"

I half smiled, nodding. "Yeah, it was really weird. I closed that book, though. Matt and I did and I'm glad we did it together." I went on to explain what had happened and how it did. She was freaking out that they kind of came out of nowhere and then disappeared again.

The waitress brought out our food a couple of minutes after she said that. "Did you want another whiskey Coke?" She asked me.

"Um, I'll take one more." I smiled sweetly.

"No problem, I'll be right back with it."

Lynda and I dug into our plates, each taking a couple of bites. "How are Jesse and Isaiah?" I questioned curiously. She hadn't mentioned them all night.

"Isaiah is doing so good. He's going to be in the second grade this fall, can you believe that?"

"Aw, I haven't seen him since he was born, oh wow."

She took a deep breath. "Jesse is um, yeah. I don't know. We've been having issues the past year or so. It's just been weird between us."

Before I could respond, the waitress brought back my second drink, made sure our food was good, then walked away. "What kind of problems?"

"Relationship problems. I feel like he doesn't really care anymore. I mean, we never wanted more than one child, and we had that. And, he busts his ass at work, but it's just not the same between us. He's always so bitter and angry, and I know work isn't helping, but he takes it out of me with his attitude and fighting. I get that that happens when you've been with someone. I mean, it's been fourteen years that we've been together. But, things are falling apart and I hate it so much." Tears were forming in her eyes, but she wouldn't let them fall. It broke my heart to see her like that.

"How you guys gone to counseling or something?"

She shook her head, "I've been wanting to go. I really have, but it's just he's so busy with work, and I am too, and we're both tired and with Isaiah and everything."

"You're making excuses, Lynda Rose. If you are truly in love with him like I know that you are, then you will make this relationship work."

"Yeah, I know. I'll talk to him, tomorrow. I can't lose Jesse, Luce. I don't know what I would do if I lost him."

The rest of the dinner wasn't spent sadly, but it was quieter than it was before. I felt really bad for her. She seemed so stressed out about this and I felt even worse because I went on talking about how great my relationship was going while hers was falling apart.

I hated even more that I have been such a shitty friend to her.

"You know I'm here for you, right?" I said out of nowhere once we had walked out of the restaurant. "No matter what, no matter when. I am here for you. I may be two hours away, but I can easily make the drive."

She smiled softly and nodded, "Yeah, I know. Thank you, Lucy."

I drove back to Vic's in silence. I had always admired Lynda and Jesse's relationship back then and now knowing that it was tattered made me see that they weren't perfect, even though I always thought it was.

I walked inside and Jaime and Tony were sitting on the couches drinking beers, eating pizza, and watching tv with Mike and Vic. "Luce!" Jaime shouted, causing me to crack a smile.

"Hey guys." I greeted happily, walking to give them hugs.

"You seem witchy." Tony said, studying my outfit.

"Thanks, that's what I was going for." I smiled slyly.

I sat next to Mike and he pulled me onto his lap, kissing me. "I taste whiskey."

I couldn't help but giggle, "You tasted right. I had a couple of whiskey Cokes."

"Wow, you two are perfect for each other." Vic said, smiling.

When he said that, something in me made me sad. I said the same thing about Jesse ad Lynda, and now look. Would this happen to Mike and I?

"How was dinner?"

"Good, then it turned kind of like Debbie Downer."

"Why?"

"Well, it was all good until I asked about how Jesse was doing..."

"Are they okay?"

"Not really. They are having issues." I stuck out my lip. "I just feel kind of bad because before she told me that, I was going on and on about how happy I am in my relationship and yeah."

"Well, there's nothing you could do about that other than be there for her."

"I know, but I just feel like I haven't been there for her, you know? Because I haven't."

"It'll be fine, baby. You and Lynda will remain friends like you always have."

I smiled and looked at him, "I love you."

"I love you too, witchy." He winked. "Or should I call you Supreme or Fiona?" He said naming the main witch in the show.

I laughed. "Ooh, fantasy. I can dig that."

"Oh no, no, not again." Vic groaned, covering his ears.

"What did they bone in front of you?" Jaime asked laughing.

"No, but they literally walked in and Mike took her to the room and they fucked and I heard it all." Vic frowned.

"I thought it would've turned you and Kate on, and then you two would've boned." I said looking at him, jokingly.

He rolled his eyes, "Yeah, right."

"Sorry, we got used to having sex like every day, sorry Vic." I gave him an innocent look.

He smiled at us, "You two seem really happy."

Mike and I looked at one another, smiling. "We are."

Jaime, Tony, and Vic smiled at us like we had cooties. I couldn't help it though, I was happy. And now that I was thinking more about it, Mike and I aren't Jesse and Lynda; we haven't been together 14 years, we don't have a child. We have our entire lives to worry. Right now, I needed to stop thinking about the future so much. I needed to start living in the present and enjoy life. Look at all these great people in my life, why am I so concerned with what they are doing with their futures?

Notes

Hey guys :) Thanks again for the patience on this story. I kind of have writer's block for my Tony story, but I will definitely be getting to that sooner than later.

I decided to write a chapter involving Lynda. She hasn't really been in Lucy's life and I know that they've missed each other.

If you have any questions, comments, or anything at all, feel free to write me in the comments or message me :)

Thanks for reading! I love you all so much!

@cosette_: I left that up to you and your imagination. I personally would have had them get married, but ultimately that is up to you. You can think up your own future that they had with each other and with their family and friends.

If they got married, had kids, if she made up with Austin. Their life, and everyone else's. Like Lynda and Brandon, or if she sees her parents again. You know?
