I Still Think You're Beautiful and I Don't Ever Want to Lose My Best Friend
Awkward Moments And the Jitters
Still Vic's POV
Even though the movie was on we just talked the entire time, right now she was telling me about how she had the urge to hurt herself earlier and that if it hadn't been for the promise that she had made to me that she would have cut. I looked toward the t.v. s if I were watching the movie for a moment, my eyes started to burn with tears that I was determined not to shed.
"I'm so glad that you didn't Annabear, you mean too much to hurt yourself," I said looking her straight in the eye. I could see the tears collecting in her eyes, she adjusted herself on the couch so that she was able to give me a hug, she buried her face in my neck. "Thank you, Viccy, I'm glad I can count on you."
" You're welcome, honey," I said honestly.
Suddenly I remembered that in all of the commotion that I forgot to tell her that I was going to be starting band- I had only found out of last night- with my brother and a couple of friends, and that we had rehearsal later on tonight. Shit! I figured that now was as good of a time as ever and that I should introduce her to the friends that I was going to be in the band with. "Hey, Annabear, how would you like to come back to my place and meet couple of friends of mine later today?" I asked hoping that she was going to be comfortable enough to go anywhere.
"Sure, sounds like fun, when did you want to head back to your place?" She inquired looking up at me. I looked up at the clock and saw that it was now almost 10, rehearsal starts at noon, I thought for a moment and the decided,
"How about we head back to my place for eleven thirty-ish?" I asked. I saw her eyes bug out of her head, "what's wrong with that?!" I asked suddenly worried.
"I have to go shower AND make myself presentable in an hour and a bit?! Well, shit, I'd better get going! Thanks for the warning you asshat" Anna said as she leaped off the couch and ran up the stairs. I didn't even bother trying to cover up my laugh, "Anna it's not a beauty pageant, besides you're naturally beautiful anyways! " I called after her, Anna just turned and flipped me off and then winked and continued up the stairs toward her shower I assumed. I headed up to her room a fe minutes later and decided that I would wait there for her instead.
Annaleigh's POV
As I stripped out of my pajamas and stepped into the shower, once I was under the hot steam of water I started singing Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin (A/N if you haven't heard it you should listen to it, I will leave a link in the notes section ;P) while thinking about the outfit that I would be wearing in order to conserve time. As I was washing the conditioner I decided that I was going to wear my white skinnies that it had taken me FOREVER to find in my size (size 10, yes I'm a bit on the curvy side but I have to admit that I have nice boobs and ass, I try to think that it could make up for my size) and my Of Mice & Men tank top that I had gotten when I saw them a couple months back.
I got out of the shower and wrapped a towel and dried off I put my black lacy underwear on and a matching bra and went into my room to find my outfit, I walked over to my closet to grab my jeans and turned toward my bed and almost had a heart attack! "WHAT THE HELL VIC?!? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!" I asked completely embarrassed that he had seen my body in my underwear.
"Woah, Annbear calm down a bit! I promise I didn't mean to be creepy, I had figured that you had brought your clothes into the bathroom, like you usually do when you're taking a shower!" I said trying to explain myself.
"Don't worry about it, you're right I usually do take my clothes with me, I'm just gonna put some clothes on now!" I said with my face burning with a blush, I'm sure.
"Good plan...by the way, nice voice, I really mean it," he said and gave me a wink, I blushed again.
"Oh, fuck you, Vic, I'm never gonna live this down, am I?" I said with a nervous giggle.
"Nope," Vic said popping the 'p' sound. I sighed and got up and walked toward the bathroom, "hey, Anna, where are you going, I was just giving you a hard time-"
"Relax, Vic, you can come with me if you want, I'm going to do my hair and makeup," I explained with a laugh.
He followed me to the bathroom and watched and I dried my hair and was about to straighten it when Vic cut me off, "since when do you have that sexy, curly hair going on, boo bear?" He asked me using my least favourite nickname (he started out calling me short stuff, but because I'm 3 inches taller than him and stand at 5'10 he decided he couldn't).
"Since ever, my dear hobbit, I just straighten it all of the time," I explained using his least favourite nickname in return. He scrunched up his face at me and I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Well, you shouldn't, I like it curly it's adorable," he complemented as I rolled my eyes.
"You're wish is my command," I sighed. "But don't get used to it, I'm just too lazy to straighten my hair," I warned shaking my finger at him.
"Yes, ma'am, cross my heart," he said while crossing his heart with his index finger.
I moved on to my make up, I just did a natural look with sandy tones on my eye lids. I pulled out my eyeliner and Vic had a mask of pure horror on his face. "What's wrong with you, Viccy-boo?" I joked.
"What are you going to do with that...that, thing?!" He asked concerned.
"Haven't you ever seen a girl put on makeup before," he shook his head and I sighed and hung y head in disbelief, "well, this is an eyeliner, you use it to...big shock here, outline your eyes!" I explained as if it were the most obvious thing in the world and demonstrated professionally giving each eye a little bit of a wing.
"Why do girls do shit like this? It has to be uncomfortable wearing all that cakey stuff on your face all day!" He exclaimed.
"Yes, it does, but now you know how much effort it takes to be a girl, my dear!" I said in a sing-song voice. I looked at the clock and found that it was 11:20. "It's time to go, that is if you want us to be on time, Vic."
"Holy shit, you're right! Man, why do you do this stuff it takes forever, and I promise, I will never judge another girl for taking so long to get ready! Alright let's get going!" Vic said excitedly. Well at least that made one of us! I was shakey and nervous as hell to meet his other friends, I'm not exactly what you would call a "people person".
Vic led me out the front door and I turned to lock it. We started off down the street making small talk, I think he could tell that I was nervous about meeting his friends. "Don't worry Annabear, they're gonna love you, Tony and Jaime are good guys! Don't sweat it, we'll probably end up playing jam with some instruments!" He said trying to persuade me to calm down.
"You promise?" I asked sounding like a little kid.
"Yes, I promise, so Anna," I turned to look at him, he never uses my name," why have you never sung in front of or with me before? You really do have an awesome voice!" I started blushing, and then confused as to where this was going,"you're gonna sing when we play today right?," he asked giving me puppy dog eyes and I broke.
"Fine, wait, all of them can play instruments?" I asked confused, Vic started to look embarrassed.
"We're kinda gonna start a band," he muttered with a hand on the back of his neck and looking away. What ever response he was expecting, it wasn't the one I gave him, "oh, my god! Vic that's awesome!" I shouted and jumped on him attacking him with a hug. He started laughing and carried me the last 10 feet to his house. He put me down and called out to who I assumed were the guys. "Honey, we're home!"
