I Still Think You're Beautiful and I Don't Ever Want to Lose My Best Friend

Harmony

*Day of the Concert*
Over the past few days Vic has been acting strange. Anytime I would try to talk to him alone he would come up with some excuse, his favourite one seemed to be that he was busy with the band getting ready for their concert, he even used it when I had been hanging out with Jaime one day. Today I plan on finding out what’s going on since he asked me to meet him early before the show tonight.

As I put the final touches on my makeup I walked out my front door and headed toward Vic’s house.

I knocked on the front door just as Jaime was opening it to leave.
“Perfect timing my lovely, you’re coming with me!” Jaime warned with a smirk.
“But Vic told me to meet him here before your guys’ show.” I said confused.
“Yes and it was all part of his master plan,” Jaime said evilly, “you’ll see Vic soon enough.” He stated while rubbing his hands together maniacally. Before I could be concerned with what Vic has in store, Jaime already had me in the car on the way to an unknown location.

Jaime pulled into a field a few blocks up from my house and parked. He ran around to my side of the car and opened my door, blindfolding me and throwing me over his shoulder.
“Jaime! Put me down!” I yelled at him, hitting his back. “Jaime, please!” He knew how much I hate being carried. Jaime only laughed and continued walking for a few more minutes then put me down.

I heard the sound of retreating footsteps and panicked pulling off my blindfold. I was in Vic’s bedroom with the lights off; why in the hell would he bring me back here?

Suddenly the lights in the room came on; I turned to see Vic walking toward me carrying his acoustic guitar. He sat on the bed across from where I was sitting on the floor. I couldn’t help the smile that broke out across my face as I saw him looking back at me. Without a word he began playing a song that I had never heard before:
Sunshine, there ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night.
(But, there's just something about)
This dizzy dreamer and her bleeding little blue boy.
Licking your fingers like you're done and,
You've decided there is so much more than me.
And baby, honestly it's harder breathing next to you, I shake.
I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me.
Hold my heart it's beating for you anyway.

What if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you.
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole.

Nobody prays for the heartless.
Nobody gives another penny for the selfish.
You're learning how to taste what you kill now.
Don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace.
Talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas.

What if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you.
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole.
Vic sings these lyrics with suck passion and power behind them, it almost made me want to cry.
Just give her back to me.
You know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need.

So, baby, what if I can't forget you?
(What if I can't forget you?)
Collide invisible lips like a shadow on the wall,
And just throw, oh no.
You can't just throw me away.

So, what if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you.
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
What if I don't even want to?

Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh.

What if I can't forget you?
I'll burn your name into my throat.
I'll be the fire that'll catch you.
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole.

Just give her back to me.
You know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need.
So, baby, what if I can't forget you?
(What if I can't forget you?)
I'd better learn to live alone.

What's so good about picking up the pieces?
What's so good about? What's so good about?
What's so good about picking up the pieces?
Oh. (A/N link for Caraphernelia by PTV in notes)
I was momentarily stunned into silence as Vic finished the song.
“Vic did you write that?” I asked, he only nodded still unable to gauge my reaction to it. “That was amazing, the lyrics, they were so honest!” A huge smile lit up his face.
“I wrote it when I thought I had lost you forever, I don’t think I could ever bear that again.” Vic said seriously. I stood up and jumped up onto his bed landing right next to him and attacked him with a hug. Vic put his guitar down and returned the hug. We pulled back far enough so that we could see each other. His eyes flicked from mine to my lips and back asking permission. I nodded closing the distance between us and crashed our lips together, it started out soft and slow but quickly became heated when he licked my lower lip asking permission, which I allowed. The kiss continued for a few more moments before he broke the kiss blushing as he pulled away. “I wasn’t going to be able to stop if we kept going,” Vic admitted sheepishly. He grabbed both of my hands getting my full attention again.
“Vic, it’s oka-,” I started but Vic cut me off.
“Annaleigh,” Vic said looking into my eyes, “will you be my girlfriend?” I decided that I would make him sweat for a bit and make him believe that I was thinking about it.

He started to look nervous eventually and I decided that it was time to let him breathe so I kissed him. He was shocked for a second before responding. We broke the kiss and sat in silence for a while.
“So, can I take that as a ‘yes’ then?” Vic asked suddenly laughing.
“Yeah, I think you can,” I answered winking at him. I’m feeling the happiest I have in a long time right in this moment.
O-o-O
Pierce the Veil just finished their last song of their first official show when I heard Vic say my name.
“Anna, I could not, and would not have made it here without you, so thank you,” he said looking side stage toward me. “Thank you, we are Pierce the Veil and we hope to see you again really soon!”

All the guys except for Vic who stayed talking to a few people; the guys immediately gave me sweaty hugs.
“You guys suck!” I complained sticking my tongue out at them.
“Really, I thought we did pretty well,” Vic stated laughing.
“You guys were amazing!” I exclaimed literally jumping on Vic and wrapping my legs around his waist. He laughed at m silliness and carried me and his guitar back to the car with the guys managing to bring their instruments with them, even Mike somehow.
O-o-O
Vic stayed the night with me at my place and we watched videos all night.

The next day the guys found out that there was a scout in the crowd who wanted them to go on tour! They of course immediately accepted and asked me to be merch girl.

I have my family and an amazing boyfriend, an aunt who didn’t give two shits that I ran off with a band and a tour job, life is good. I couldn’t ask for more.
The End.
