The Chemicals Will Bring You Home Again

I woke up to the sound of the shower running. I was confused at first but then I remembered that Jaime stayed the night with me. It was nice just laying with him all night. Not having to sleep with him. It's so easy to be with him. But I'm not with him. It's really confusing. I want to be with him but I know that it's not a good idea to be together. I don't know how much more time with him I have. All I know is that I want to spend every last moment with him until the second I die. I heard the shower get turned off and I could hear him drying off. After a few minutes, he came out of the bathroom with wet, curly hair. He looked at me and smiled.

"What are you smiling like an idiot about?" He asked me.

"You are adorable when your hair is natural. You should have it like that more often." He looked like he was thinking for a second and then nodded.

"Okay. Anything for you Cass." I hopped out of my bed and into his arms. I kissed him good morning.

"Good morning to you too, babe. Come on. Get dressed and then I will take you to breakfast. My treat." I smiled and went over to the closet. I grabbed a Pierce the Veil tank top and some high waisted black shorts. I put them on and Jaime smiled. "You're wearing our merch?" He asked me.

"Well duh. I kinda have a thing for the bassist, you know." I winked at him and walked by him into the bathroom.

"You have something for the bassist huh?"

"Oh shut up." I laughed and continued to put my hair up into a pony tail. When I moved my hand away from my hair, a clump came out in my fingers. I started to cry.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Jaime asked me in a scared voice. I showed him my hand and he kissed the side of my head. I went to the cabinet in the bathroom and found the electric razor. I plugged it in and turned it on. I brought it to my scalp and shaved off a strip of my hair. I started bawling so hard when I saw my head, that I almost dropped the razor. Jaime grabbed the razor from me and brought it to my head.

"Only if you want me to."

"Please." I said. He kissed me deeply.

"I love you Cassie." He started to shave off all my hair. Soon I heard him turn off the razor. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw myself, only bald. Jaime looked at me in the mirror and he kissed the side of my head. "You're gorgeous." He whispered. He pulled out his phone and took a picture of him holding me and kissing the side of my head. He went to Instagram and started typing. He put his phone away and my phone went off. I had a notification from Instagram. I opened it up. It was the picture that Jaime just took and the caption read:" just helped my beautiful bestfriend @casscat with her new hair do." I looked at Jaime and smiled. "Well I guess now is a good time to ask you to be mine. I was going to wait until breakfast, but I'm too impatient."

"I don't know, Jaime. I don't think this is a good idea. I like you a lot but what if I die. I don't want to hurt you like that."

"Well that was a risk I took that day I held your hair for you in the bathroom at the hospital. I'm in love with you and you can't get rid of me. Ever." He grabbed my face and kissed me so passionately.

"I'm not ready yet. Can you please give me some time? I want to be with you, but I want to wait until I'm a little better. I just can't promise you anything and then die." His face never faltered.

"Of course I can give you some time. Like I said, anything for you."

Hey guys. This chapter might seem familiar. I just edited it. I didn't like how I ended it the first time, so I changed a few things. This time, she doesn't say yes to being Jaime's girlfriend.
