TONY'S POV

Spreading butter on my toast, I listened in as Vic and Jaime told Mike all about the BBQ last night. Apparently I'd missed quite a few unusual dares and some truly unexpected truths.

'What happened to you, Tony?' said Jaime causiously as I sat down.

I swallowed my first bite before replying. 'You know what I did,' I mumbled, looking shamefully towards the floor.

'And what was that?' asked Mike.

'I had to kiss the hottest girl, Rachel was there.'

'Rachel's here? Aw man, I'll need to say hi! So, what happened when you kissed her?'

'He couldn't stop,' said Vic awkwardly.

'I could,' I retaliated.

'No you couldn't,' sighed Jaime. 'She ran after you y'know, did she find you?'

'Yeah,' I said, taking another bite. 'We talked.'

'That sounds bad,' said Mike. 'Are you okay?'

'It wasn't that bad,' I replied. 'I'm just pretty confused now.'

'Girls love confusing us, it's all about the mind games,' comforted Vic. He's wrong. Rachel doesn't play mind games, that's why I've always loved her so much. I love the way she'll just say how she feels and the only time she won't is if she's trying to protect others.

I ate the rest of my toast before grabbing my phone and heading off the bus. I walked around the new venue and enjoyed the air before it became unbearably hot. As I was walking, I noticed the Bring Me The Horizon bus. I wanted to go and see Rachel, but I was too much of a wimp.

'Hey,' said a voice. Spinning around, I seen Oli about 5 meters away from me. 'Are you Tony?'

'Yeah?'

'I'm Oli,' he said, approaching me. 'Uh, I heard there was a little,' he coughed, not knowing that to call it, 'at the party last night with Rachel. Did you know her before Warped?'

Knowing that Oli was like a brother to Rachel, I decided to comply and answer his questions. 'Yeah, uh, we dated in college.'

'Right,' he nodded. 'I just- I don't want her to be hurt by some scumbag here, y'know? You seem nice though.'

'Don't worry,' I ensured him, 'I highly doubt there's anything between us now.'

'Hmm.. I think she would argue otherwise. Look, I've got to go, I'll see you around.'

I stood still as I watched Oli walk towards the bus. What did he mean by that?

RACHEL'S POV

'Rachel?' shouted Oli as he climbed on the bus.

'Yeah?' I said from my spot on the couch.

'I met Tony there,' he said, plopping himself down next to me. 'Doesn't talk much does he?'

'How do you know about him?'

'Lee told me about the BBQ, about how he wouldn't pull away.'

'God,' I grumbled. 'Why is everyone making such a big deal out of it? It was a fucking dare! Just leave it.'

'Rachel, I'm just trying to look out for you.'

'I know,' I sighed, feeling bad that I'd raised my voice when I knew Oli had good intentions. 'I'm just pretty confused about it all.'

'Talk to him then,' he instructed, patting my back. 'We're on at 4 o'clock for half an hour so other than that, you're free.'

'I don't know,' I mumbled, leaning my head against his brotherly shoulder.

'Please? I hate seeing you like this.'

I nodded. Oli smiled as I perked up a little. I got off the couch and went through to my bunk to grab my camera in case I wanted to photograph any other bands. I told him that I was away out and unplugged my phone, sliding it into my short pocket, before exiting the large bus. I wandered through them all and went into the crowd. I walked around the merch tents and tried to familiarise myself with faces and bands. Suddenly, I felt someone tapping my shoulder.

'Mike,' I smiled, pulling him in for a hug.

'How are you?' he asked, fixing his cap.

'I'm good, enjoying life on the road?'

'Loving it,' he smiled. 'Hey, since we haven't hung out in ages, are you free tonight?'

'Uhhu, what's happening?'

'Me and the boys are having a chilled night, good food and good company. You up for it?'

'Sure,' I said, trying to hide the fear in my voice.

'Great,' he smiled. He strolled alongside me as I made my way down the merch tents. Stopping at The Story So Far, I sighed as I seen an awesome wristband but had no money with me. 'You want it?' he asked, noticing my sadness.

'No, no. Don't be silly.'

'You can just pay me back tonight?' That's a perfect way for you to make me come, no backing out now. 'C'mon, since I haven't seen you in ages.' I half nodded and he grinned as he seen it. Picking up the black band, he handed it over to the guy who checked the price before exchanging it with him for $3. 'There you go,' smiled Mike, handing me it.

I laughed a little as I slid it on, 'thanks.'

'What's the time?' he asked.

'It's, uh, quarter to 2.'

'Fuck,' he said under his breathe. 'I've got to go, see you tonight!' With that, Mike was running through the crowds.

TONY'S POV

'Dude, we're on in 15 minutes!' Exclaimed Vic to Mike as he stumbled towards us.

'Sorry,' he said breathelessly. 'I was talking to Rachel and lost track of time.'

'About what?'

'I invited her over tonight,' he explained, grabbing his drumsticks and hammering them off the railing as someone fixed his earpiece in.

Brilliant, I thought. Just fucking brilliant.
