Chapter six~Walmart cart rides
~Kari’s POV~
I woke up at about 5:00 in the morning the next day to make my dad some breakfast and lunch just like I did all the other days. I put his breakfast on the table and his lunch in his lunch box. He came out and sat at the table as he thanked me for the food. He got up after he was done and thanked me once again.
“Bye mija. I’ll see you later.”
“Bye dad have a nice day.” He walked out and closed the door behind him. Well this is going to be a boring day I thought to myself. I headed to my room and picked out my clothes for the day. I decided to wear my crown the empire t-shirt along with red skinny jeans. I took my clothes with me to the bathroom and set it down. I hopped in the shower and washed myself down. I came out of the shower and got myself dressed. Before exiting the bathroom, I towel dried my hair in hopes that it would dry faster. I entered my room and slipped on some socks and my black vans. I brushed my hair and let it hang down for the day. Since I had nothing better to do, I laid down on my bed. Without noticing I drifted into deep thought about the day before. Tony popped up in my head and I quickly shooed the thought away. “Man I have got to get a life.” I said to myself. I picked up my phone and texted my friends Jaime, Mike, and Vic. I received no response from any of them. Who knows what they are up to. I looked over to my camera sitting on my dresser. I got off my bed and picked it up. I exited my room and headed downstairs to the counter in the kitchen. I picked up my car keys and headed out the door locking it behind me. I got in my car and drove towards a look-out area about 40 minutes away. The car drive consisted of nothing but me singing along to Upon this Dawning. I arrived and took some pictures. About three hours later, I decided to head back home. I had been outside just admiring the nature around me when I thought I had enough pictures. I got home and went through the front door. I decided to start making dinner. This time I made spaghetti . About 30 minutes later it was done. I decided to go ahead and eat since I hadn’t eaten all morning and I was starving. It was about four o’clock when my dad got home. He usually got home early on Friday which was today.
“Hi dad how was your day?” I asked
“It was good. Hey the Mexico soccer game is tomorrow and I invited some friends to come watch it.”
“Oh that great. When we had people over to watch a soccer game, you better believe it got LOUD. And it wasn’t just the guest, it was me too. I’m such an aggressive soccer player that I’m not even sure its healthy.” Do you want me to go pick up some food for tomorrow then?”
“Sure that would be great.”
“Ok well I’ll be back in a bit. Food is on the stove.”
“Aren’t you going to eat?” he questioned.
“Already did. Go ahead and eat and I’ll get the stuff.” I headed out the door and walked to my car. I was actually pretty excited for tomorrow because I love soccer. I made my way to the local Walmart and got off my car. I walked inside and grabbed a cart. I started to fill it with a bunch of junk food and some things so that everyone could stay over for dinner tomorrow. I went to the checkout aisle and paid.i started to head out the store but then I stopped frozen in my tracks when I saw HIM. That stupid ass bastard. I grabbed the cart and began to run and put my feet on top of the cart to ride it just like a child. I made it just in time. Thank god he didn’t see me. I seriously despise him with a passion. I put everything in my car and then got in myself. I took a deep breath in my seat and turned the key making the car roar to life I drove away still feeling a bit of adrenaline from running away.
