~Tony’s POV~
Kari and I headed inside the house after coming back from the woods.
“It’s not that late. You want to watch a movie or something?” she asked after a while of just sitting.
“Sure. Which one?”
“What about Star Wars since last time the lights when out.”
“Sounds good.” She put the movie in and then headed upstairs. She returned with a blanket and sat next to me on the couch. She scooted closer and cuddled up next to me. I put my arm around her and pulled her closer to me. We sat there watching the movie. After a while, I turned to look at Kari and saw that she was sound asleep. I looked at her for a second. She had a point a while ago, was this too crazy? I have no idea how her dad is going to react. FUCK. I forgot her dad is my boss. But he wouldn’t mind right? I mean he is a nice guy I’m sure he’ll understand. I tried to shake off the thought. I tried to watch the movie but soon found myself sleeping as well.

I woke up to see sun filling the living room. I looked to my side and saw that Kari was gone. I got up and headed upstairs to take a shower. I got to my room, got clothes, and headed to the bathroom. When I was done taking a shower, I headed downstairs. I saw Kari cooking breakfast. She hadn’t seen me yet so I snuck behind her and hugged her from behind. She jumped a bit and turned around.
“You scared me!” she said playfully slapping my arm.
“I know.” I said triumphantly. I leaned in and gave her quick kiss. She continued to make food and handed me a plate when she was done. I took it and took a seat at the table along with her.
When we were done eating I asked her, “You want to go skating today?”
“Sure.”
I went upstairs and got the skateboard I had bought when I had raised some money. Kari went into her room to get her skateboard as well and we met downstairs. We got a small backpack and put a few things in there. When were ready, we went outside and started skating. We headed to the park first and just sat and talked. I started thinking. I’ve been living with Kari for quite a while, and she just became my girlfriend, so I think I should take her on a date. “Hey Kari, let’s go somewhere.” I said.
“Um ok where?”
“You’ll see.” I said as we stood up and I began to skate leading her in the direction of an amusement park not too far.
“Tony why are we at an amusement park?” she asked her voice filled with confusion as we arrived.
“Because I wanted to take you on a date.”
“You didn’t have to.”
“But I want to.” I said as I took her hand and led her to the entrance. We gave our boards to the guy at the entrance and he said that he would hold them for us. We entered the people-infested place as we looked around trying to decide where to go first. We went on a few rides before we decided to go to the carnival games. We played a balloon dart game and I won. I told Kari to choose a prize. I thought for sure that she would choose the giant bear, but instead she went for the giant turtle. It started to get dark and we decided to head home. I tied the giant turtle around the backpack and skated with it on my back. We got home and headed upstairs. I told Kari good night and gave her a hug after I put the turtle in her room. I headed to my room and laid down. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
