She'd rather see me dead than face me.
Chapter 1~Of course you can have food.
~Kari’s POV~
I lay lazily on my bed. I hadn’t done anything all day. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t lazy’ I had a job. I work as a nature photographer. I have to take at least 15 pictures a week, submit them, then get paid. I had already taken 25 pictures this week so there was really no need in taking more. I was listening to A Day to Remember when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. The caller I.D read ‘dad’ so of course I answered.
“Hello?” , I answered.
“Hola mija. Are you busy?” ,I was greeted by my dad.
“No not at all, what’s up?”
“Well I was just wondering if maybe you could stop by and get me and the guys some food and come eat with me.”, my dad is a construction worker and is working on a house not too far from here.
“Oh of course I’d love to. What kind of food you guys want?”
“Could you buy five burgers for us and of course one for yourself?”
“Sure no problem. What time would you like me to bring them over?”
“One is fine. That’s our lunch time. If you need any money feel free to grab some from my room.”
“Oh its ok dad, burgers on me.”
“Are you sure? I’d hate to make you spend that much money.”
“Its fine, don’t worry about it. Bye dad I’ll see you soon”
“Ok bye mija. Be careful on the way here.”
With that, our conversation ended. It was about 11 which meant I still had two hours to kill. I grabbed my skateboard and decided to head to the skate park.

About an hour and a half later, I decided it would be a good idea to head over and get the food. I went home to grab a backpack to put the food in so I could skate to the construction site instead of taking a car. I headed over to the nearby Burger King and placed the order. After about eight minutes, all food was ready. I carefully placed it in my backpack and started toward the construction site. I arrived about 20 minutes later, landing some tricks on my board along the way. I headed inside to look for my dad but my walking was interrupted when I felt a body harshly crashing into mine sending me to the floor with a thud.
