Secondly, thank you to everyone that took the time to enter my contest! You guys rock! It seems a lot of you have been through some serious shit, and I want to say I'm proud of you for making it this long, and I hope you are blessed with years of happiness.

Now in the spirit of things I decided to tell you about my favorite band and what they did for me;

I actually have 2 that really made an impact on my life, Mayday Parade and Pierce The Veil.

Mayday Parade first, a couple of years ago when stuff really started going downhill for me, my then best friend and I took a trip, and on that trip my iPod broke so we listened to hers... And she is a huge Mayday Parade fan... By the time I was home from the trip, I was obsessed with them just as much as she was. XD As my life started getting worse and worse (I'd rather not say details, it's just too personal and hard to talk about :|) the one thing that I could always turn to, no matter what the situation was, they were always there to calm me down. To help me focus on the little things that made life worth living... My favorite songs by them are, "The Memory" "Oh Well, Oh Well" and "Anywhere But Here" For merch I have a shirt and a fan made bag that I printed at a graphic design workshop. I've seen them live once, at Spring Fever 2013.

PTV next. I actually haven't been a fan of them for very long, like less than a year... I found them on Tumblr(insert rude comment from music snob) through the band blog 14inches.tumblr.com (she's rad check her out) I think the reason I love them so much despite not knowing them for very long is because I was a terrible low point at the time. Much worse than I am now, contemplating suicide on a daily basis low point. I don't know what, but their was something about their music that stopped me... It might be the lyrics, it might be the emotion, hell I don't know and I probably never will. All I know is that I haven't thought about suicide for almost 3 months... That's an all time high since I found them. Like this band means so much to me you don't even know. They got me through long nights with the blade and every time I needed to drown the world out. Fav songs are "Disasterology" "Hold On 'Till May" "Bulls In The Bronx" and "The New National Anthem" For merch I have 2 shirts (1 concert exclusive and 1 normal) and a bracelet, and I've seen them once, also at Spring Fever.
