I looked at up at Vic, "Really?" I asked, my voice quivering.

Vic nodded, "I don't think he ever got over it really..."

"But he broke up with me," I whispered, looking back at the picture that was still in my hands. I really wanted to take it and get a copy made... But if Mike needs it on his bad days, then I can't take it from him.

"That's the part I don't understand," Vic said, "He never told me why, he never talked to anyone about it. To mom, dad and I one day you just stopped showing up and Mike got worse. For along time I thought you broke up with him... One day I asked him if he wanted me to like beat you up or something, but he said there was no need because it was all his fault you weren't there."

I swallowed down a sob that had worked its way up my throat. I will not cry here, not in front of Vic, not with Mike in the other room.

"I would've taken him back," I whispered, "All he had to do was talk to me..."

Vic sighed, "I tried to tell him that, but he's so stubborn sometimes... It wasn't fair if you think about it... But what about that situation was fair?"

"None of it..." I whispered, answering his rhetorical question.

"Ok, enough sadness!" Vic exclaimed, suddenly smiling again, "Turn that frown upside down, Tony Turtle, we're supposed to be celebrating!"

I smile at him, "Hey Vic?" I ask, "Does Mike know?"

"I haven't told him," he responded, "But he's not dumb, he probably noticed... Or is at least suspicious."

I sighed and put the picture back on MIke's nightstand, "Do you think I should say something to him?"

"That's up to you Tone," Vic said, "If I were you, I'm not sure what I'd do... But I'm sure you'll know." He added with a smile.

I sighed and stood up. Should I? Or Shouldn't I?
