Vics P.O.V

Three days have passed since we began this road trip to New Jersey. It was going well except one thing. Mike was all over Sarah. They would sneak off together when we would stop places. It began to get annoying. Whenever it was just the guys he'd go on about banging her. I just didn't wanna hear it. I felt sick of him and he is my brother, I'm not supposed to feel like that at all. Especially because of a girl. I barely even knew her. She just came out of nowhere.

It was my turn to drive and Marissa sat up front with me. I would occasionally look in the rear-view mirror and see Mikes arm around Sarah. She looked miserable though. I took a quick look and this time she was looking at me. Shit. I looked away but my eyes became drawn to her. She was so dangerous and everything about her was pulling me in. I tried to stop it but her eyes got me everytime. Mike began to kiss her neck and she pushed him away. He laughed then took his arm off her. I smirked to myself and continued to drive down the abandoned highway.

"Why don't we go to the beach" Jaime pointed to the beach we were close to. "What, no" Marissa spoke up. "Why, you too chicken?" Jaime taunted. "No, it's just what if there are zombies in the water" Marissa sighed. "Zombies can't swim darling" Mike said sarcastically. "Don't be a dick Mike" Sarah said to him. "You guys gotta learn to live a little. What do we really have to lose?" Jaime said. "He's right. Got nothing to lose" I spoke up. I changed direction and drove down onto the empty beach.

I parked the car and we all climbed out. There was no zombies in sight so we felt comfortable enough to stay. Jaime walked towards to water and began to take his clothes off until he was in his underwear. Everyone else followed suit. My eyes fell upon Sarahs back. She pulled her dress over her head and dropped it, she then kicked her shoes off and then turned to me. "You coming?"
She said. I nodded and she just stared at me. I pulled my shirt off and then took my jeans off too. She smirked at me then walked up to me. I gave her a funny look and she reached up to my head and pulled my hat off and dropped it on the ground. She then turned and ran down the sand and into the water.

I began to walk slowly towards the water until it engulfed my feet. It felt nice to have something so natural on my skin. The ocean. The beautiful water glimmered against the horizon. I was brought back to my senses when I was splashed in the face. "Shit" I said with a gasp. I rubbed my eyes and then opened them to see Sarah infront of me with a grin on her face. "You've just started a war" I said slyly. "Come get me" She winked and began to swim backwards. I sank under the water and chased her until I grabbed her by the legs. I picked her up and came to the surface. "Vic, no put me down" She squealed. "NEVER!" I screamed and then threw her under the water. She screamed and came to the surface shocked and folded her arms across her chest. "That is not fair. I can't pick you up and throw you under" She huffed. "Shame for you eh?" I said sticking my tongue out at her. She pushed me backwards and laughed. "I hate you" She rolled her eyes and I spashed water on her. She looked at me and laughed and then splashed me back. She was so close to me as we laughed and shared a nice moment together until we stopped laughing. I looked at her lips and she looked at mines. Fuck it. I'm going in. I leaned in and our lips were touching ever so slightly when.

"Um guys... we have a problem" Tony said. I turned to look at what this problem was and seen a swarm of zombies descend onto the beach. "Shit" I muttered. Sarah grabbed my hand and then we all quickly swam to the beach and ran for the car. As we ran the zombies got closer. There were a lot. Maybe 100...200 I definitely did not wanna stay and count them. I climbed into the car and Sarah climbed into the passenger seat. Everyone else piled into the back and I started the car. The zombies were so close now. I reversed off the beach and then knocked down a few of them. I didn't mean tot be they got in the way. I drove back out into the highway and back on our mission. Get to New Jersey.

"Fuck that was close" Tony laughed. "You guys fucking shit yourselves" Mike laughed at everyone. "Mike so did you now stop acting like you're made of stone. No one cares" I snapped. "What's got Victors panties in a twist" Mike smirked. "NOTHING MIKE, FUCKING NOTHING" I screamed. I pulled over and got out the car. I stormed over to a field and sat down on the grass.

"What's wrong Vic" I heard a voice say from behind me. "He always tries to steal things from me. He always wants to be the winner. I can't ever get ahead of him for once" I muttered. "What does he have right now that you want" She said sitting down next to me. I looked at her then looked away again and laughed. "We're still in our underwear" I laughed. She looked at herself and laughed. "Yeah, fucking zombies" She laughed. I sighed and threw myself backwards. "Mike doesn't own me. Just know that alright" She whispered and stood up. I looked at her and frowned. Was that a hint? I don't know this girl is so fucking cryptic. I stood up also and we walked back to the car.

"Has princess Vic finished her temper tantrum yet?" Mike said in a baby voice. I flipped him off and climbed into the back of the car. Sarah climbed in next to me and smiled. Mike was driving and Marissa was in front with him. Mike started up the car and began to drive. Sarah rested her head on my shoulder and began to fall asleep. I laid my head on hers and did the exact same.

I awoke to the darkness of night and Sarah shivering in her sleep. I yawned and reached into the back of the car and pulled out a blanket and wrapped it around her. She began to snuggle into me more and I smiled happily. "I think we should sleep in there tonight" Mike spoke up and pointed at a house that looked empty. "Sure. You guys go check it out okay?" I whispered. I didn't wanna go check the house out because then I would have to be moved from my position with Sarah. Mike climbed out and so did Jaime and Tony. They walked into the houses with their guns and a few minutes passed. Eventually they came back out and gave us the thumbs up. Marissa stepped out the car and opened the door for me. I wrapped my arms around Sarah and picked her up.

I carried her into the house and Jaime came up to me. "There's only one bedroom, you guys will needa sleep down here" I nodded and placed Sarah on the couch. I said goodnight to Jaime and then began to look for a blanket but I didn't have any luck. I gave up and decided to try and sleep on the floor.

I tried to sleep and nothing. I couldn't just keep my eyes shut or switch my brain off. I began shivering very loudly and I couldn't stop. "Come here" I heard Sarah say. I sat up and looked at her. "Why?" I asked confused. "You're freezing, now get over here" She said lifting her blanket. I stood up and walked over to her. I slid under the sheet and she cuddled into me. "Wow, you're so warm" I said sleepily. "Yeah, I know" She yawned and rested her head on my chest. I smiled into the darkness and began to slowly fall asleep.
